She kept us entertained during our trip to Drumheller and the Badlands. She was even kind enough to provide us Tim Horton's muffins and had plenty of water to provide on a hot day. This review is about the Victoria (BC) office of Tier One Travel. I have been travelling and…read moreliving around the world for the last nine years and have never - ever - encountered such an unprincipled company. In a nutshell, I wrote and asked how much it would cost to extend my stay in the country I was visiting. Without authorization from me - and without even hearing back from me - the agent went ahead and charged nearly $500 to my visa account. She had obviously saved my account details from the transaction where I paid for the original ticket. I found out my itinerary had been changed when I arrived at Phnom Penh Airport to check in for my flight. I appealed to the manager, Mike Hill, for assistance and a refund. Instead of assistance, I've received a string of excuses - including the time he must devote to caring for his 84-year old mother (I kid you not). I have not even received an apology. He is now insisting that I come into the office for discussion and suspect 'delay and intimidation' is the order of the day for the Victoria Tier One office. If I ever receive a refund, I'll certainly update this review.

Jobo met us at our hotel at 8 o'clock sharp and from there we spent the entire day seeing the wonders of the nearby mountains. We saw more in one day than I could have managed in three days, all without being rushed at all. It pays to have someone who is intimately familiar with the area as your guide. Although the information on the signage was more than sufficient, Jobo provided additional color regarding each of the stops. Jobo was very friendly, courteous, and it was an absolute pleasure to be in his company. The vehicle was very clean, stocked with ample water, and very well-maintained. I highly recommend ABest Transport and Tour Services Inc, and their "rider driven" philosophy, which Jobo exemplified. Amtrak Vacations arranged my transportation from Banff to Calgary, where I would be staying at the Delta Hotel that's on site at the airport. My arrival on the day before my return flight allowed me to explore the airport. The place is clean, signs are clear and helpful, the restrooms were well maintained, and security was efficient - not more than 10 minutes to clear for a flight that would leave around 8 a.m. There's an airport lounge (Aspire) that recognized my Priority Pass, and there were multiple options for meals apart from the lounge.

I'm from the US so I believe my gate was either 15 or 16 for arrivals. If you're renting a car at this airport and you're a US traveler, please note that you'll have a long walk to get to the car rental section which is near gate 7. I want to say I walked for at least 12-15 minutes to get from the arrival gate to gate 7. Departing was pretty quick and easy too. I traveled through American Airlines and found the kiosks to be far more streamlined when checking in versus going up to the counter. From there I went straight through the security and customs line. I was impressed with how smooth that went. Everything was 100% automated and checking in my bags through security while going through the scanners was a breeze. The staff on hand were friendly and moved passengers along with efficiency. As for departure dining, the food options at YYC are mediocre. It was lunch time and I ended up getting a nacho bowl at Mi Casa. It was decent, pricing was ok however it tasted commercial more than anything. I just wasn't wowed. The free Wi-Fi in this airport has good signal with several charging ports at the gates. If I ever find myself coming back to visit Calgary, I wouldn't hesitate to fly through YYC.
