Very detailed, polite and professional father and son team. I feel confident as a realtor to recommend them to my colleagues and clients.

I hate to do this, Ramey deserves 0 stars. At first it seemed like a good inspection, now that my…read morehusband and I are living in the property that was Inspected by this company, they did a complete SLIP SHOD shod job. 1) They claimed the Breakers/Electrical panel was labeled correctly. Well, it is NOT. I went to turn off the fuse labeled 'Dryer'. And I got shocked when attempting to reconnect the wire which was hanging out of the dryer outlet. Meaning the breaker box/ panel is NOT labeled correctly. This is very concerning seeing how someone can get seriously injured. And this company couldn't take the time to test any of the breakers. 2) The kitchen sink is messing caulk and clips. That is not on the inspection. Which means they didnt brothered to look. 3) Hot and Cold water lines under the kitchen sink were not connected to the correct inlet. Which means they didn't brother to look at all. This makes me question everything else they 'checked'. They do horrible work and its messed up that we had to pay them to do faulty work. And of course how is the customer suppose to know this when we rely on them to do the job? Due to this company's slip shod job me, my husband or anyone else who performed work on this place could have been seriously injured because this company cannot and did perform and lied on the report. What a worse of money. But this company will continue to stay in business because buyers wont know how horrible or good of a job they perform until its to late.

Financial District, SoMa

I had a very positive experience with these David and Golden Gate Home Inspections…read more My friend asked me to help find, book, and manage a home inspection for him. He is not buying or selling, he just wants to know what needs to be fixed in his Victorian SF home. David was on time, very curtious and knowledgeable, and a nice person to chat with. He was especially happy to be doing the work for someone who really wanted to know all the potential problems, instead of for a seller that might wish there were no potential repairs. I will reach out to them to schedule a similar inspection for my mom's home.

BBB Complaint: 25332734…read more I am rejecting this response because: there are some facts that were not accurate. September 14, 2025: Report delivered to the client and his two agents only based on the business reply. The owner admitted the report was delivered to his two "agents." I do not have "two" agents. One is the seller's agent and the other is the buyer's agent. The owner admitted that the home inspection report was provided to the seller's agent without my explicit permission. In addition, I was present when the home inspector stated that he will provide the home inspection report to the seller's agent. As the business owner, it is important to take accountability for your mistakes and provide a reasonable remedy to resolve the concerns. Nothing more and nothing less. Please consider taking this as a learning lesson and reiterate to your employees to avoid and prevent questionable conduct in future home inspections. September 23, 2026: Please see attached. The letter was sent to the home owner from the HOA warning the "owner" that HOA identified the window bars listed in the picture attached that it was a fire hazard and "must" be removed by October 15, 2026. HOA is not taking responsibility to remove the window bars and the "associated cost" may be charged back to the owner. The owner is implying that they "read" and "understood" the bylaws of my HOA instead of taking accountability for their mistake to address the oversight of their home inspection. Nowhere in the home inspection report, it was noted that the window bars are a fire hazard that will be a problem that will need to be removed prior to the sale of the home. In addition, I attached pictures of two doors that cannot open or close properly that was not noted in the home inspection report. The closet door in the hallway sticks out and cannot open and close properly like a normal functioning door. Also, the bathroom door is a "death trap" that was not properly addressed and the owner sent a worker to "temporarily" alleviate the owner's concern since the worker did not bring the proper tools to fix it. The owner stated to me that during home inspections that they do not typically check doors. My expectations from a home inspection was that the company will find issues and problems that needs to be addressed prior to the buyer signing off all the paperwork. Some of the most basic problems and issues were overlooked and as the first time home buyer, I felt scammed and cheated by the home inspection company with 5 stars. It failed to meet my basic expectations of what a home inspection should find.

We booked GCIS through our realtor (realtor had the invoice sent to me few hours before our offer was redacted.) Supposed to be the "best" in bay area, they charged me double the average inspection price. Mark Nolfi showed up on the property and performed a 1.5 hour inspection on a 2700 sq ft property (google average inspection time for larger properties in bay area for comparison). During the inspection, I pointed out concerns about mold smell and stains on the interiors, which he said it was no big deal. Mark Nolfi sent the reports to the wrong email address and got it delayed in my hands. The final report did not address any mold issues which I raised multiple times during the inspection, just mentioned water damages and ventilation issues. Regardless of their clean report, I hired a mold inspector to check the property. Guess what, mold inspector found active black mold under the bathroom sink. It's up to your decision, but I will never trust GCIS report ever again. Funny fact during the inspection, Mark Nolfi seemed to argue with my realtor that he got to be paid more for inspecting non-permitted spaces and spending extra 30min on it. LMAO, interesting company with interesting employees and interesting relationships with realtor. To me, it's lesson well learnt. I paid quite a bit to GCIS, but avoiding them will save me thousands of dollars from now on. Hope my story can shed some lights to home buyers. Happy house hunting guys!
