The egg drop soup was a bit smaller amount than i'm used to getting, but I enjoyed the steam shrimp and chicken and look forward to trying the soup. It was fresh but small. 2 ROLLS: i ordered Philadelphia roll and salmon avocado roll. Both were delicious and fresh. Price rating: 6/10. It was not that expensive for a sushi. Delivery time was accurate and fast, considering our order, and time we placed order. He was told about 35 minutes. It was a busy evening around 6:45pm when we ordered--so really, I consider that "prime time-busy dinner time". We enjoyed the food. The delivery person was polite and thanked us for the cash tip. I was glad to see that the delivery person was wearing a helmet. I have a lot of respect for all the delivery people who are dealing with so much on the roadways. It's a tough job. I always prefer to try to give a cash tip so I know the hard working delivery person has the money right away, and it is in his or her hand. Please see my food photos. I'm sorry, I may not recall actual names of rolls, but we totally enjoyed everything. LOL WE HAD & ENJOYED ALL: (see my photos) *Shrimp & spinach dumplings. My friend and I stopped by Kouzan for dinner before attending an event in the area. It's a cute…read morerestaurant with a clean, minimalist vibe (and a nice outdoor dining set up for warmer months). We shared an order of shrimp shumai and three special rolls. The food was fresh and tasty overall. The shumai was your standard shumai that you can find at any Asian market, which was fine. The special rolls were the Monkey Jump, Sesame Crust Tuna, and Truffle Soy Otoro. Of the three, the Truffle Soy Otoro was the most unique, interesting, and flavorful, but we liked them all. The special rolls are pricey (around $20 each) but pretty substantial and filling. The servers were very attentive, and we were in and out of there in about an hour. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and craving sushi.

3.5 stars. Good service and pleasant, simple dining space. Okay sushi…read more They have lunch specials/deals every day, even weekends. The quality of the fish is just alright. It's not too pricey, and the food quality and price do check out. It's really not bad for the price, but I'm not sure if I'd come back given the many sushi options nearby. The fish pieces (eel, salmon) seemed a little dry, and the avocado they used was chalky and not ripe, and it threw off the texture of a lot of our rolls. We tried the Salmon Oshinko, Salmon Cucumber, Eel Cucumber regular rolls and the Amsterdam Roll, Dragon Roll, Sunny Day special rolls. They are pretty light on the sauces (eel sauce, mayo sauce, etc.), which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences. The roll I liked the least and wouldn't recommend was the Sunny Day. It had no taste and I didn't like the very mushy texture of all the fish pieces (tuna, salmon, yellowtail). They all blended together into one mush. The Salmon Oshinko wasn't bad. The oshinko pickled radish has a stronger, sweeter flavor, but I thought it went well with the salmon. I also have not tried or seen that combo anywhere else, so it was refreshing. I wouldn't mind coming here again, but if I had a choice, I think I'd try another place for sushi!

While it did come relatively quickly, when ordering them elsewhere where that were boiled, like done in a soup, didn't anticipate that the Wontons were fried.. which wasn't as big a turn-off as the red Sweet and Sour glop that wasn't even close to spicy. The Hot & Sour soup was fine, but the entrée was heavy on the rice, half layered on top of rice with mostly vegetables and only 4 shrimp. First, is this related to all the other uptown Dragon Chinese places? It seems that all their Lunch Special prices have escalated significantly over the past few years. Second, this experience with Dragon 109 is something I'm not likely to repeat. For $20 in the end with tip, guess I expect better.
