Everyone is very friendly and respectful. My only complaint is a few years ago they switched food providers for the Cafe and the food and service is a bit below average. Just like the government, there is no competition in this market so I understand why. I can't speak for the dining room as I hardly go there. Although rather expensive, I would recommend this place for a nursing home with attentive staff and people who truly care!

We have also been present for at least this amount of time daily. Our family member does well with routine and help at home and is obviously now out of her element. The facility has chosen not to acknowledge our concerns. They state they do not have to have support person present to teach our family member who has no short term memory. They have refused to coordinate with the family for any meeting, and rather we get piece meal information from a different person each time. Our goal is to have a clear picture and one delegate who receives information on our family member. Please think about this review. I'm not writing from a place of malice but rather of extreme concern for those people requiring family support.

The food was not exciting, but it was well-prepared and you could chose your own meals. Quite frankly, I was surprised by what a positive experience it was to be at Fairlawn. I was there 11 days.
