West Shore installed new windows for me last year, I just opened them for the first time this year and noticed a screen had separated from its frame. It took them 5 attempts to get the correct size screens for the window frames, they brought new screens each time. That should have been my first clue of their shoddy quality control but I let it go. I called West Shore since they told me they have a lifetime warranty when I bought them but now they tell me that is for parts only and I will have to pay a minimum of $125 labor! While the product itself seemed solid, the quote I received was a jaw-dropping $8,500 -- and that's the most basic door , no glass or addons. without any clear itemized breakdown. No explanation of the actual door cost, installation, hardware, or labor -- just a vague "all-inclusive" number. After doing my homework, I found out you can purchase the same ProVia door through other local dealers or contractors for significantly less, with transparent pricing and similar lead times. West Shore is clearly inflating the total cost and hoping most people don't compare. If you're considering them, shop around first. You might be surprised how much you're overpaying for the same product. The estimator arrived right on time. She explained the company and gave us several options for our new entry door. We picked one. She would get a five star but she came on really strong to get us to commit on the spot (which we did). Not satisfied with that, she brought in sample windows that we neither wanted nor asked for. Praying the entry is as good as I expect, in February. The prices are really high but you normally get what you pay for. I'll review again when the project is completed. read more

I had windows installed on 12/16/25 paid in full. I give the installers 5 stars, but the office and clerical staff 1 star. I have been trying to get an itemized invoice and cash receipt. I called three times so far and no one in the office is doing anything for me. They keep telling me that they can't call the finance center, ONLY internal e-mails???? How hard is it to e-mail an invoice. I need the invoice for tax purposes and to apply for a rebate with my electric company. I just need an invoice!!! read more

West Shore installed 9 windows for me and they were very expensive but I thought I was getting good windows. One window had to be replaced a few months after the install due to defect. Now I have another one that the top window opens when you close the bottom on the double hung window. I was just informed that the 1 year labor warranty has expired. Now they want me to pay $125 for the first 2 hours or labor to assess the problem. I would say that the windows that were sold to me are of poor quality. Don't trust them. read more

This is the worst company ever!! DO NOT use them for anything!!! I made the mistake of entering their sweepstakes for new windows on Facebook and everything has been a nightmare since then. Two people measured my windows and measured one wrong. The installation was in March, it is now the end of August and I am still waiting for the replacement. Nobody asked me what direction I wanted the sliders to open from so they ordered them to open from the left instead of from the right. I had surgery on my left shoulder and some of the windows are very hard to open. I also have to climb on my bed in order to open my bedroom window. Now I'm being told that if I want the windows to open from the right, I have to pay for new windows. I also still don't have a screen for my back door. In early June, they came to replace missing window and brought the wrong size. While they were here, they tried fixing my kitchen window so it would be easier for me to open. They damaged one wall next to the window and still have not repaired the damage. I texted the design consultant with a picture and his reply was, "I am sorry, I will get someone." I haven't heard anything from him or the installation manager since then. I am aVeteran, senior citizen and a single woman, and can't afford to replace the windows that were just installed in March. I can't help but feel that this would not be happening if there was a man in the house. read more

Called West Shore and Will from their Ocala office came within a couple of days and quickly fixed the problem. New shower was wonderful at first, but it's all great until something breaks. I asked for a permanent shower curtain bar but they installed a spring loaded bar. Yesterday the heavy (metal) bar fell on my head. I immediately called and asked for someone to come and install a permanent bar that I had originally asked for. The person answering the phone could only read a script that required me to sign a form consenting to pay a $150 trip charge. In my pain and suffering, I would think that would not be necessary. I contracted West Shore to replace my shower in the beginning of October. It was finally finished near the end of February, due to the issues we faced thanks to miscommunications and unprofessionalism on the part of West Shore Home. First off, our salesman, Mark, filled out our order completely wrong. When the installers came the first time, they had every part of our new shower wrong except the handle to turn the water on. When asked about this, Mark tried to blame everyone but himself, from the manufacturer to the installers and even customer service team. The only blame that falls on the install team is that they didn't show me the walls and shelves they brought to install, and just went right to work ripping out the old shower. So we had no choice but to let them install the wrong shower and wait another 8-12 weeks for the proper parts, because Mark ordered them all completely wrong in the first place. He then hastily sent me an updated order to sign, which was missing the shower head. I told him I didn't want to sign anything else until all the correct parts were on one form to avoid any further confusion. He kept pushing me to sign, saying "it was just how the system worked" and I eventually gave in and he sent me a separate form to sign for my showerhead. Turns out I was right and this caused further confusion, so I was finally sent a form with all the correct parts on it and was told it would be another 8-12 weeks for my second installation. I tried to speak with the GM, Dennis Uricola, about Mark's conduct and was offered $500 off my project as "compensation". I only accepted because I wanted this ordeal to end. Keep in mind, my project cost $11,600, so that $500 was about 4% and I honestly found it insulting. I eventually called Dennis back and instead of the $500, we agreed that they would install shower doors at no extra cost. This was the only part of this process I appreciated, Dennis did work with me and was mostly easy to reach when I had an issue. When the second install team came, one of the installers referred to one of his co-workers (who came to the do the first install) as "colored". We also ended up with blue stains all over our sink from the dirty blanket they used to cover everything. As far as the final product, I'm less than impressed by the quality of something I'm paying over $11,000 for. The "laser-etched" lines that make the pattern on our walls aren't etched all the way through so some lines look gray, and some look black. I would not recommend West Shore Home to anyone unless they want a 5 month long headache and a mediocre product. read more

West Shore did my windows. They sent 2 people instead of the 4 people written on the permit. They used the wrong saw to cut out the existing windows and damaged the siding. It took over a month and a half to finish the job. After 2 inspections. WAS NOT HAPPY WITH WEST SHORE. I will NOT RECOMMEND THEM. read more

Let me clarify the no recommendation. The windows are beautiful and well constructed. The cost may be above average but you get the quality you pay for. The initial sales interview, measure all went well. The problem was communication. Be aware that it will be 2-3 MONTHS from the initial estimate to installation. When they tell you the front desk will call you to set up the inspection in a few days, DO NOT WAIT for them to call. I waited over a week and then had to call them to set it up. I was given a date and told I would have to be there from 8-5 (city won't narrow it down). I called the city at 4pm to learn that I was never on the schedule. When I called Fairbanks, I was told by Pam that I had given them 4 dates and that they had checked to see if the inspection could be done without some screens (seems to me that this can't be the first time this question had come up) and that they did not hear back from the city until today. Number one, I don't believe you. If this was true, why didn't you call me today to schedule the inspection (that they claim had not been scheduled) so at least I would have had part of my day off back! So the moral of the story is be your own advocate. Do not wait for them to communicate, call them the same day or at most the day after the installation to schedule the inspection. To give you the full time line, my initial contact with them was Sept, 2018 and it is now February 2019 and I still can't put window coverings on my windows! Update. They came to cover the screw holes and finish the trim yesterday. Put trim up but did nothing with the screw holes. When I called, they said the screw hole covers were a courtesy! WTF! $20,000 and they say it is a courtesy to make them look good? They are coming out to cover the picture frame screw holes but say they cannot cover the ones on the inside of the double hung windows. Jackie R. and Patrick G. finished the install and another grew began the demo. ran into complications with the A/C lines and had to wait untill I could get it taken care of. They aren't even 1 star worthy since every time we call for them to come fix their poor craftsmanship we get attitude & push back. If they would only do correctly & stop putting band aid on job then maybe 1 star I could see them earning. In 2013 we were very excited to get the bath wraps done on our house's 2 bathrooms & to use an "experienced" FL based company to do so.Unfortunately that's where the excitement stopped and the headaches began. Liner wasn't cut to correct sizes so ever since the completion of the project the company has had to send out "fixers" at least 2X a year b/c caulk doesn't stay...it cracks creating big gaps! We were told that the mold from previous bath & tiles wouldn't affect us once liner on but with the cracks developing so the mold finds a way to come through! And since liner is special acrylic you can only use certain cleaners which do nothing on the FL mold! Very disappointed after spending hard earned $12K that I now have an uglier bathroom shower & bath than the brown tile from the 60's that was there before Fairbanks did the wrap. BEWARE their pride in their workmanship is lacking and I would not use this company for anything! read more

A client had them build an addition. It leaked, a call was made, patch performed, leaked again. Patch leak patch leak. They kept putting new sealant on top of old. Im no roofer but I believe one must remove old adhesive for new to work properly., Most recently they declared that additional downspouts were required to drain the roof that they built 10 or more yrs ago. All negotiations via phone. Never once has anyone from this company spoken face to face with my client since this rooms "construction". Workers simply show up, slap on more adhesive and leave. This company plans to do some indoor work tomorrow as cronic leakage has caused rust and other interior problems. This means they will have to speak to other humans in order to perform their "work". I am interested to see how that pans out, I give 100 to 1 odds my client loses yet again, stuck with a leaky money pit that will be full of dust and debris as well as tomes of memorabilia, encyclopedias, photography and more. If fairbanks construction uses dropcloths I will report that they did. At this point my belief is that they will not. If you absolutely hate someone recommend this company to them. read more

We hardly heard any noise, and they were always courteous, explaining everything to us, asking us to inspect the work, and then cleaning up quickly and efficiently. I highly suggest reading this long review. Starting off, if I could give negative stars then I certainly would without hesitation. Here's a quick breakdown of their performance in our experience. Customer service 1/5 Honesty and integrity -5/5 (yes its negative 5) Price -2/5 (negative) Sales team -5/5 (again, negative) Quality of work 1/5 Value -3/5 (last negative) In late 2018 their salesman Bill came out to our house to give us this presentation at 6pm and didn't leave till after 10pm. The high pressure sales tactics really put me off, but we liked the windows they offered, so we continued on. Their first quote for 9 double pane double hung windows first came in around the $15,000 mark and I was blown away as we had gotten a few quotes around $2,000 for similar windows. After two more tries he got the price barely below $10,000 but the catch was we had to give him a deposit right then and there, and that price expires the moment he walks out the door if we don't sign a contract immediately, and would return to the near $15,000 mark if we wanted to be rational adults and sleep on it. He then presented us a financing option that would allow us to not make any payments until the job was 100% said and done. This was not true as he signed us up for a completely different finance company. Moving on along, a few weeks later we get a statement from the finance company. I followed up the next day by calling and speaking with Eric, the finance manager about why we were being billed. His response to me was poor at best and it seemed he only wanted to repeat his one line argument over and over again, even though it had nothing to do with the concern of why we were being billed already. After repeating myself a few times, stating that was not my cause for concern and getting no where I gave up out of frustration. I wound up trying to call back a week later, specifically asking to speak with anyone other than Eric because he offered only arguments rather than to listen. Unfortunately they then proceeded to transfer me to Eric. Of course the same argument ensued until he gave up and just told me he'd have a sales manager call me. I believe it was two or three days later when one of the sales managers had reached out to me and left a voicemail. When I listened to to the voicemail the message was for me to call him back so he could "re-explain" any of the things I might be "misunderstanding". Isn't that just great. Sadly I have to cut this short due to character limitations. Ultimately.. -Once they had our money, the quality of service got worse -They damaged our home in the process, and they did a halfarsed job fixing it(I had to go back and correctly fix the drywall they messed up while a trainee was working unsupervised and they repaired once very poorly) -We paid 4+ times the amount for what we feel like we received. -They damaged two window frames on install and knowingly ignored it, leaving it for us to find and become upset later. -One window pane was ordered wrong because they were not thorough enough/did not listen to our request(regarding a bathroom window not being "see through") -Also they neglected to note our request on the work order to have window sills removed upon install, and when I approached the crew leader about it he tried to "talk me out of it" -They were awful about following up. I wish I could include every last detail, but character limits are making me keep it short. There's plenty that I'm having to leave out, but we are sooo happy to have our windows 100% done finally and don't have to deal with this company any longer. After this whole experience we'll be taking a much harder look at any further work we want to do to our home because Fairbanks left such a disgusting taste in our mouth. I've asked this question to one of their sales managers before, and I'll ask it again. What in the world did we pay almost $10,000 for? The ONLY positive thing I can say is that the windows do look nice and are pretty good quality. read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with. They lied and scammed me into signing a contract with them to replace my tub with a stand up shower. Twice as expensive as it should have been and they made a mess in my home, did the worst job installing the shower which took months instead of two days and to top it off broke my toilet then promised to replace it by a field supervisor their "conma" and after they got the rest of their money said they weren't going to replace the toilet. In 07 I had this Company put a Temo Room on. It is made in Michigan.A great guarantee. Sturdy. Costly . When it rains you hear the rain on the roof but we close doors. I had to call the a few years ago on a problem I later discovered had nothing to do with the room. They, after some talking by me, came Well the other day I called because we suspect a leak (so small) that maybe caulking would repair. He had to have a reason why they could come look at the roof so he was going to talk to the Construction Dept. As Clark would say. Customer NO SERVICE. I climbed on a ladder outside to view the caulking. No easy matter as I am 5 ft and 71. They do not even have caluking at the edge of their roof and the old wall. Anyway a friend will come today. My main complaint is the CUSTOMER NO SERVICE. Thanks okay. Someone else will do my bathroom reconstruction, little do they know. Next guy will have to prove to me how they treat customers. read more
