These…read moretests were suggested by my Cardiologist since I was experiencing some shortness of breath when walking in my neighborhood for exercise recently. I hadn't had any tests done on my heart recently and it seemed like a good idea since I had 3 stents placed in my heart back in 2007. After an Echo cardiogram and the nuclear stress showed some problems, the next step was an appointment for a Heart Catheterization at Ortenzio. It was after this test that Dr. Connelly told me that I would need Heart bypass surgery since that was the best way to remedy the new blockages. Surgery was scheduled for February 18,2025. Every one at Ortenzio was great! Some names I have managed to remember...Dr. Connelly, Erin, Naomi Katey, Eric....and all the rest who took care of me whose names I can't remember a great big THANK YOU! Other staff members are ready to assist and answer any questions. My only complaint is that one parking lot wasn't identified as the employee parking lot, where you couldn't gain entry even after touching the screen. Other than the operation, my relative was happy with her care in a private room.

My personal experience was with Dr. Link and the Cardiology Team at West Shore Hospital. The care and bedside manor of these professional men and women was not only superior, but more importantly, it was consistent from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The administrative staff was pleasant and helpful - the nurses were friendly, patient and very informative - the nurse anesthetist and anesthesiologist collectively spent about an hour talking to my family and I before the procedure. They explained everything that would/could/should happen in while in the operating room and encouraged us to ask any and all questions we had. Side conversations we had about vacations, hobbies and common interests temporarily distracted us from the fact that we were in a hospital waiting for surgery! After the procedure was complete, Dr. Link spent about 20 minutes giving us a play-by-play recap of what happened in the OR, what we should expect next, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. The professionalism, knowledge and bedside manor that this team provided my family and I was like nothing I've ever experienced anywhere - they were absolutely incredible! Although I hope I never have to see any of them ever again under the circumstances that initially brought us there, I can rest easy knowing that if I do go back, I will be in the hands of top notch greatness. Pinnacle Health should be honored that these men and women are a part of their staff!

I took my wife to the ER because she was experiencing sever stomach pain. At first everything…read moreseemed great, she was triaged fairly quickly and given medicine which made it tolerable and she had the necessary scans done. Unfortunately, we then had to wait 6 hrs with zero communication. I finally went up and asked if they could at least give her some more medicine because what they had given her was wearing off and she was again in a significant amount of pain. Once again, other then the pleasant women at the desk we received ZERO communication. We waited an additional 45 minutes and left. We will not be coming back to this ER again. I understand if staffing is an issue but they also bring in enough income to easily hire more people and they don't seem to want to do that.

His surgeon was extremely nice, took the time to explain his procedure, the nurses and anesthesiologist were also very nice. As soon as his procedure was complete, the surgeon came to the waiting room to explain his procedure to me and then they called me back to post op to be with him. I highly recommend this facility!
