Used to come here all the time but havent been in a while, always had a great experience. I got my first hookah from these guys and it was super chill, they helped me set it up, taught me about coals and of course hooked me up with some bomb shish. Im not into smokin anymore but these guys take their glass seriously, and always have a dope collection. Never bought any of their pieces but ive hit a number of them and they are always bomb diggidy. Very resilient too. The other day my friend dropped a cheaper piece, maybe 40$ down multiple boulders, no scratches cracks or chips. When i was a cigarette man i always got lucky strikes from these guys too. Loved the friendly evening shift staff that was there up until a few months ago. Apparently they did some house cleaning and let them all go except for 1, who happens to be the least friendly and personable out of the bunch. I loved coming in here and looked forward to it whenever it was on the agenda for my evening but now it feels very sterile and uninviting when I walk in. Have had multiple conversations with one of the guys that now works evenings and he never remembers me and seems like he has more important things to do, like inventory or making sure the music is playing. That, paired with the fact that they never have any selection of basic items like butane or baggies, etc and have a very limited inventory of damb near everything actually....has made me start shopping at cigarland, which I hated at first but they have a great selection and have warmed up a lot and its never out of what I need. Very disappointed with my experience today. I was recommended a strawberry cheesecake puff bar. I don't remember who helped me but he said he loved the flavor and that it was a best seller. What more can I say that hasn't already been said about this place? Terrible customer service...the last time we went in we asked a question which was answered in a patronizing and dismissive way. Gave it another chance today and had to ask for help in an empty store- the employees were too busy watching tv under a cloud of smoke. The manager (i only assume this due to her misplaced air of apparent authority) is rude. The guy who helped us was nice enough but even if it is a smoke shop, how unprofessional it is to huff your vape and expel a huge puff of smoke as you are running our card. When you go in there it's as if they are doing you a favor by existing and possibly if they feel charitable they might help you purchase something. I despise this store. So uninviting. So rude. This place made me so angry I had to sign up and write my first ever review. I needed a new tank for my e-cig and my girlfriend works next to this place so I asked her if she could pick me one up after work. It closes before I normally get off and really needed a new one. I don't need it to be fancy or anything so I just told her to show them a pic of mine and get a new one. She says they very nice assured her its universal and great. Well, first off, it takes a special atomizer for it to work. I did t realize that and when I filled it up it leaked everywhere and made a huge mess. I put in o e of my old ones and stopped bleeding. Whenever you take a drag though, juice gets into the middle of it, causing a gurgle. Its annoying as hell and to top it off it'll periodically leak too. So I go back today to exchange it. The people there seemed really nice and the guy tried several ways to remedy it. He agreed it was not working after trying several batteries, the gurgling persisted and it barely pulled anything through. He shows me some other options and I tell him I'll pay the difference for one of them after I return this one. He tells me he can't do that. Says no returns. What? Its been less than 24 hours and they sold me a piece of crap that was broken out of the gate and didn't even come with all the parts. He said he can give me 15 percent off but he's not even supposed to do that. How kind! Yes, lets spend more money here! I ask him when a manager will be in. He says he comes and goes, no way to tell when he'll be here. I ask him if I leave a message, will the manager get back to me. He says "I'm not him, I don't know." Sells knock off products as the real thing, very disappointed... Initially I thought this was a great place with friendly knowledgeable staff. I was looking for a pen style vaporizer and the clerk suggested I try the cloud pens vaporizer. After a long speech on how he uses it daily and it's the best value for the price in the store, I bought it. Foolishly I didn't check the companies (cloudpens) website in the store. Huzzah for being the first review! I have to say how much I like this place. I smoke 1 or 2 cigars a week, and I go in here every few weeks to check out their new stock. Omar (the owner) and Eddie (the one employee) always have some good cigar suggestions, and they are super friendly, to boot. This place is bright, clean, and not at all sleazy. Unlike many other smoke shops I've been to, I don't feel like I need to wear sunglasses and a overcoat when I enter. Omar and Eddie greet people with enthusiasm. As you might expect from an independent store, the prices are not as good as some of the online mega stores, but their prices are extremely competitive for a local cigar shop. On top of that, they offer their own line of pipe tobaccos with flavors named after West Seattle locations. Additionally, they occasionally have some cigar industry reps conduct special events there. The Oliveros event was great, and when I picked up a box of King Havano Maduro Fuertes I received 5 free Oliveros cigars and a t-shirt. Awesome, right? I'm going to continue to go in there every few weeks and see what's new. read more

Getting back into pipe tobacco since stopping in college, i was pleasantly greeted by John (I think that's his name? The big bearded guy?) and another employee. Great guys, great atmosphere, great cigar humidors (not just shelves of boxes as in seedy head shops), beautiful glass pipes, some great Briars (although he had only one Briar left, a Savinelli. Good place to buy a briar outside of Downtown or Tacoma, i guess), cigarettes, good RYO tobacco, papers, Djarums, drugstore cigarillos and pipe tobacco .... Everything you'd want is here! Their highlights are their special custom pipe tobacco blends. They concoct their blends by hand, and they are named for familiar West Seattle locales. "42nd street", "Fauntleroy blend", etc. I chose the "Morgan Junction Amaretto", and for just a little 4 bucks an ounce, thats a great price for pipe tobacco. Some online tobacco dealers will not deliver pipe tobacco to Washington due to our laws, and this place is a welcome gaurantee that West Seattle Pipers arent stuck with only Captain Black or Prince Albert. (which i happen to like, but anyway....) John gave me great advice on starting out with English blends (in college I preferred aromatics and still do, but looking to broaden my palate), and offered to set aside some "Nightcap" for me when his orders get shipped, and willing to order my preferred tins as well . Everywhere I've been other than specialized e-cig stores have no idea what they are selling and sell cheap products that either damage your e-cig or don't work at all. This place is the exception. The guys here know their products. Not only do they know their products, they sell quality products at reasonable prices. They also know how to educate people on what e-cigs work best with what components and e-liquid and I am impressed with their customer service. I initially went into WS Smoke Co looking for vape juice. I was surprised to find their selection of vape products was enormous! I was able to find a new juice that I love called Pink Drink. It's delicious. One of the employees, Keivan, also helped me find a gorgeous glass bong. He was knowledgeable about all the different types of bongs and pipes. Let me start by saying that the only thing I smoke is hookah, and even then, I don't smoke on a daily, or even weekly basis. I finally gave in to my urge to purchase my own hookah once the West Seattle Smoke Company opened up shop in the Junction late last year. I had delayed purchasing one because I wanted to make sure I got one from a trustworthy person who ran a trustworthy shop... and that's what you'll find here. Class, expertise, good selection, and some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet in a smoke shop make this place a treasure. Not to be prejudiced against smokers, but before WSSC opened up, I didn't know that tiny smoke shops like this could be so cozy and warm! That warmth is largely due to the store's owner, Omar. He is delightful and very knowledgeable. My husband enjoys smoking a pipe and cigars, and Omar always has interesting and informative things to tell him and good recommendations. He always greets us so kindly whenever we come in, and he took the time to learn our names from the first day we visited (which was during an extremely busy time, the West Seattle Street Fair in the summertime). I never knew I'd have a friend at a smoke shop, but now I do, and I love that! Ed, another employee at the store, is just as friendly and really knows his cigars. I think he and my husband could talk about cigars all day, if they both had the time! We purchased a lovely little hookah for a very fair price, and it's a quality hookah- not some cheap piece of equipment. As to be expected, there is a lot of paraphernalia for smoking... a certain type of, er, smokeable. I'm really not into that, and the sheer amount of supplies and pipes for that particular purpose is a bit disconcerting to me, but I just don't venture over to that area of the shop. My husband can attest, though, that this is a place that stocks quality merchandise as far as cigars, hookah, and tobacco products are concerned. He loves their cigar selection and purchases a new one to try almost every time we're in. Even better is the selection of locally produced- and locally named- tobacco that you'll find only at WSSC (as far as I know). I love to pop open the jars and smell the wonderful aromas inside of each one. Try the Luna Park Cherry! We love to stop in and get new flavors to try for our hookah, hubby will get a new type of cigar from time to time, and no matter who's working when we're in, we always get to have good conversation. The employees vape so heavily here that sometimes you can't see to the back of the store. Literally. You can walk in, grab stuff off the counter and turn around and walk out and they would never see you. Worst store, of any kind, I've been to in a long time. If anything goes wrong with your purchase, expect to not see any action taken. I bought a scale and tested it in the car outside the shop, only to find that it did not work. The clerk and manager told me, "No refunds or exchanges". My wife went in to get me an e cig coil and some liquid. She specifically asked them for non drip liquid what they gave her was drip liquid and an older model coil that aspire doesn't even make anymore. These two items cost $21 far and away the most I've ever spent on a single coil and a small amount of liquid I can't even use.. I've only been into the shop once personally and was quite impressed with the product selection, the staff seemed relatively knowledgeable on the things I asked them about. But when someone asks for non drip liquid you can't sell them drip and tell them it'll work the same because it does not. I have to buy a new coil and more liquid now, and guess where I'm not buying it!? read more

I am not sure why this place has ANY poor reviews. Maybe the people writing them are generally malcontent because i went in there today and had a wonderful experience. I should have gotten the name of the young man who helped because i would like to call him out personally he had braces and a ponytail and was kinda cute. If you see him seek him out he will hook you up! He let me ask 47 stupid questions and was super patient with me. Helped me trouble shoot my problem and worked with my budget to help me replace some broken parts on my vape. I will only ever go to this place from now on. I am a hookah/shisha kind of guy. Haven't even looked at their cigars, e-cigs, vapes, bongs, or any other herbal products there. That being said, I think this place is clean, professional and friendly. As for helpful I can only chuckle a bit. I went to buy an Herba Diffuser from them. No price market - so they gave it a price of $2.99 (on my favorite website, hookahshisha.com, it is $6.99). Suffice to say I bought three! They don't seem to know much about hookahs. If memory serves all they have are Sahara Hookahs. I am an adamant Mya (especially The smaller Myas - Bambino is the best). I have not tried Sahara so I can't say anything bad about it. As for their shisha I have only been there once and it is cheaper than the shisha you get from the smoke shop in Cap Hill (the one by Urban Outfitters, past Dick's, and inside the complex with the tattoo parlor on top). White gummi bear (Fumari shisha) was literally the best shisha I have ever had. I started Al Fakher and then went to Starbuzz, but now I am an almost zealous Fumari man. Juicy, but not too much juice. More so than AF and Starbuzz. As for the ambiance - it's a well set up shop. Nothing bad I can say about it! WHAT A BUNCH OF THIEVES! Went in to by some E-juice and asked about getting another tank so the guy grabs an unsealed box off the shelf and shows me the tank. I like the tank and say I will take it (part of this is my fault for not noticing the missing part and not insisting on a sealed box) when I get home to fill the tank I notice it missing a part and call them up. They say they will call back (they never did) so I go back to the store and ask for a replacement they say they have none. So I ask for a refund They quickly point to a "no refund policy" sign.
