Tee boxes needed to recover but the staff were there to point it out if necessary. Interesting with lots of elevation changes and sometimes sizable gaps to the fairway. Carts are solid with distance estimates, cart path and pace of play warning and even messages from the staff gf. We had someone give us a friendly warning on pace of play but I recognize they had to, but in our defense we were getting back up by the group in front. Still, the staff were cool about so no complaints. No cart girls. I believe that's because the paths were quite narrow with the elevation changes too. There's a midway station somewhere (I forget which hole) where you can pit and refuel.

This place is now called falkirk country club or something like that, but it's definitely falkirk…read moresomething. i'd go 3 and a half here. it's not the most maintained course at all, but is usually in good enough shape. 51 bucks with cart is not too bad. a very short course where the driver is not needed on a few holes for sure. those with a slice/fade could get crushed here for sure. accuracy is definitely rewarded here. many of the greens have pronounced 'mounds' in them where if you miss chip/putt, your ball is gone! and my favorite part about the place is that if you go in early afternoon, you fly through the course and could easily play 27-36 if you wanted to as there are no rangers who care at all, just keep on playing!

The staff just blended in with us and felt like they were a part of our family! Their food - I can rave about this for days. My family is very picky, and we have gone to many weddings, and I will say to this day, all we hear is how incredible the food was. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, and with a smile on their faces. Why would you ever spend money on a wedding planner? The back area had a fire pit and seating while inside there were epic chandeliers, toasty fireplaces, and long tables set up along the sides with a large dance hall area for the middle in a giant hall. The actual wedding took place in a greenhouse like atrium attached and covered outside. Seriously, gorgeous building and location for any special occasion or wedding. The service was impeccable. Waiters came by for the toasting hour before dinner with little appetizers and canapes. There was some kind of delicious mapley fatty bacon in there somewhere that was awesome. So why four stars and not five? Man, those bartenders, even though they are very generous and sweet as can be, cannot pour a good drink. I switched from wine because I wasn't a fan of it to quickly an old fashioned which tasted incredibly off. I think because it was a more classic style. But then later I experimented with trying a Manhattan cocktail after I saw my friend with it and that was even worse. Finally, resolved to sticking to well liquor and a simple mixer and everything was fine after that. The food was meh. The salad course was actually my favorite part. I'm not sure if they make the food on premises though or if there is a catering deal of sorts. But we had an arugula salad with a lemon vinaigrette and shaved pecorino romano and it was AWESOME. So flavorful and simple and refreshing. For my entree the choices were either diver sea scallops or New York Strip Steak. Easy choice. Steak, duh. It was served with garrison seasonal farm vegetables and parmesan risotto in a red wine jus. The sauce was interesting - good I think but weird. The meat was really tough. It was cooked okay but it was just a super poor cut of meat with a lot of fat grizzle and just hard to chew and enjoy. That was the main focal point of the meal though and I was pretty dismayed. Also heard from other people at the wedding that the scallops were just as bad. Very tiny portion and it had a funky off taste to them. Great location, stunning and in every sense beautiful beyond words. Food and drinks - very meh. Solid Four stars.
