Tommy and team helped me with every detail of my wedding - from giving me their feedback on the vendors I chose, to giving me tips of what to do/not to do. The experience we had was simply incredible. The food, the service, the kindness, the guidance - you would be making a huge mistake if you don't choose this venue. The staff just blended in with us and felt like they were a part of our family! Their food - I can rave about this for days. My family is very picky, and we have gone to many weddings, and I will say to this day, all we hear is how incredible the food was. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, and with a smile on their faces. Why would you ever spend money on a wedding planner? Tommy and team took care of every single detail - from making sure that my pictures, pamphlets, signs were up in the right locations, to bustling my dress the night of. The Maitre D was incredible. My family lives 45 minutes from the venue, but my husband and I now live in Florida. A lot of my planning was done from afar. What this team did to make sure every single detail was taken care of was just incredible. They made everything so easy, and so pleasant. I made the best decision of my life marrying my husband- choosing Falkirk was the next best decision I made for my wedding. If you are reading this, stop and don't go any further. The ceremony was outside and we had a nice cocktail hour afterwards. The food was phenomenal, with passed hors d'oeuvres, mashed potato bar, and a carving station. The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. Some misses during cocktail hour included ice cold broccoli at the mashed potato bar, like they just took it out of the fridge. Some of the passed hors d'oeuvres did not have toothpicks to pick up the items. We adjourned upstairs for the reception and it was beautifully decorated. Our salads were waiting at our seats. The dinner was really good and we were happy with the food and the drinks. Unfortunately, the service was not good at all. I heard that this place shut down their golf course but are trying to open sections back up, so they've mostly been operating as an event space, which likely means they don't have permanent staff. In situations like this, the staff they have are usually doing the very bare minimum, which was noticeable. While the service staff was very nice, most didn't know what they were serving, which was a problem as some in our group had dietary restrictions. At the very least, they should be able to tell you if there's meat or seafood in whatever they're serving. The cocktail hour carving station was held up because the person manning it didn't have a knife. I visited the station three times and only found a steak knife (mixed in with butter knives) on my 3rd round. The servers also did not pass any food to the people standing on line for the bar. They were visiting people thta already were sat, eating food. It would have been nice to have a coconut shrimp while I waited for 10 minutes, for a drink. During the main reception, it took a very long time for them to clear plates and when they brought our first course, they served half of our table and then another person came out with plates and skipped our table, went to a different table, and the other half of ours had to wait until yet another person came out to finish serving. They took our silverware and we had to go to the kitchen to ask for replacements because they were never brought back to us, even when we asked the servers. I accidentally spilled a cup of water that took three of our napkins. I asked for replacement napkins and it took my husband going to the kitchen to to ask but they only had two napkins left and did not even think to offer paper napkins. By the time dessert was served, for at our table left for the evening. When they came around to give cake slices, I asked for one of each, and the server said that they didn't have enough - I pointed out that half of our table was gone so they could definitely allow me a second slice. I'm glad I asked bc the chocolate cake they originally gave me was too sweet for me but the extra vanilla slice was perfect. They left us with our cake and never gave us dessert utensils. We had to scavenge for them, from the place setting of those that left the event. The served coffee with no milk. Several other tables, including ours, had to ask for milk, and it took ridiculously long to get anything. As I said, the wedding was beautiful, the reception was fun, but that was mostly because of the the bride, groom, families, DJ and emcee. The venue, decor, food and grounds, were all great, but the service was so very bad. Hopefully once they've opened on a more regular schedule, they'll have more committed, permanent staff, that will represent the venue better.

Anytime you're in the warmer climates and your a player, it's high time to sharpen your skills on the course., come back to the northeast and put a lickin on your friends . First hole is a really short part 4, 365 yards from the blue tees. I'm always trying at stretch out Smoking Steve because he's not long and I love blowing my 2 iron past his driver drives. But there were no tees further back, so I carved my shits a bit more to play what this mountain course is giving. Mountain golf is lots of ups and downs as you might imagine, quite the opposite flof super flat Florida so know your distances, add and take away yardage when facing an approach short where elevations change Par three's aren't difficult, usually greens that are receptive and not very undulating. Green side bunkers are not deep and are a good target to hit into if your sand game is tight on the par 5s. In fact, there aren't many bunkers out here which is why I'm still a bit stumped as to the Troon connection here. No water hazards that I recall being anything you need to avoid. If your straight, this is a scorable course, fescue is high so errant off line shits will be a big penalty. I'd recommend a summer round because when the leaves fall, finding your well struck tee shot could be challenging, even while playing colored Srixon golf balls.

Pulled in and I noticed two putting greens and two parking lots. A good start. The place has a nice low key vibe complete with Pro Shop, Bar / Restaurant, bathrooms complete with some Country Club creature comforts. The driving range is not much to crow abut, but who cares.....Hit a bucket to warm up and get ready to play a fun, scenic golf course. We headed out around noon, but before teeing it up the starter had a few things to share with us. At first I thought it was about cart rules, but in addition to that he told us where the pins were, (front/middle/back), and what the real yardages were on the downhill Par 3's; he even wrote down his mention's on our scorecard. So off we went. The course was in great shape, and the greens were rolling fast and true. The surprising thing was that the place was pretty much empty. We had a great time, and really enjoyed the course. However, if I was to return I would play the back tees. There are some tight holes, but there are a lot of wide open fairways with some forgiveness. 18 Holes w/Cart was $90.00 for Non-Resident. Very good value !! The greens roll well, often getting speedier a few times mid-season. The range is good, the practice bunker better than nothing and the putting and chipping greens are excellent. Weekday pace of play is perfect, and if you can get the early weekend times, you can get off the course by 11 to 11:30. The food might be the best at any public course. Some of the friendlier pro shop, starter and even rangers I've ever been around. The longest hitters might find it a bit short, but the vast majority of public golfers will find the routing enjoyable and the overall experience one worth repeating.

The actual wedding took place in a greenhouse like atrium attached and covered outside. Seriously, gorgeous building and location for any special occasion or wedding. The service was impeccable. Waiters came by for the toasting hour before dinner with little appetizers and canapes. There was some kind of delicious mapley fatty bacon in there somewhere that was awesome. So why four stars and not five? Man, those bartenders, even though they are very generous and sweet as can be, cannot pour a good drink. I switched from wine because I wasn't a fan of it to quickly an old fashioned which tasted incredibly off. I think because it was a more classic style. But then later I experimented with trying a Manhattan cocktail after I saw my friend with it and that was even worse. Finally, resolved to sticking to well liquor and a simple mixer and everything was fine after that. The food was meh. The salad course was actually my favorite part. I'm not sure if they make the food on premises though or if there is a catering deal of sorts. But we had an arugula salad with a lemon vinaigrette and shaved pecorino romano and it was AWESOME. So flavorful and simple and refreshing. For my entree the choices were either diver sea scallops or New York Strip Steak. Easy choice. Steak, duh. It was served with garrison seasonal farm vegetables and parmesan risotto in a red wine jus. The sauce was interesting - good I think but weird. The meat was really tough. It was cooked okay but it was just a super poor cut of meat with a lot of fat grizzle and just hard to chew and enjoy. That was the main focal point of the meal though and I was pretty dismayed. Also heard from other people at the wedding that the scallops were just as bad. Very tiny portion and it had a funky off taste to them. Nicely laid out with some very challenging holes. During summer months one needs to secure tee times well in advance as all tee times are taken. The course also has a driving range. Range balls are also fairly priced at $8.00 for a small (50) balls and $16.00 for a large (100) balls. The driving range matts are quite warm but pro shop where balls are sold told me they were being replaced in the 2024 season. Brand new golf carts have replaced the old ones only negative is these carts are gas powered which can result in jerky stops and starts. But this facility does not have a cart barn which prevents electrical access. Hopefully in the future the town of Greenwich will erect a cart barn with electrical chargers for electric carts. Pro shop carries the popular brands of shirts, golfing apparel and shoes. The personnel in the shop are knowledgeable and very helpful. The manager, Ashley, has great personality and is a pleasure to deal. Everyone in the shop is friendly and courteous to all patrons. Lessons are available from PGA professionals. For a public course I highly recommend the "Griff"

Roxie and her team made our day AMAZING! The bride, groom, wedding party and guests were all treated like kings and queens. We wanted for nothing! The grounds, tent (if you really could all it that) and bridal suite were impeccable! Guests were coming up to us and praising the venue, the food, and the service. If you're looking for a venue that has it all (rain or shine), look no more. So happy we found the West Hills Country Club. Unfortunately for the bride and groom, it was incredibly rainy so we didn't get to experience the pretty grounds and an outdoor ceremony. The did a lovely job setting up the ceremony in the reception area of the tent. Upon entering the tent, guests were greeted with a drink wall that included 3 cocktails. We hung out in the cocktail side of the tent until we were showed to the ceremony space. When you hear tent you think, is it going to be comfortable? I have to say this one was. While I thought it was a bit warm when we first entered, it cooled off as the night went on. The draping and chandeliers are beautiful and the room is spacious as is the dance floor. The cocktail hour included maybe 7 stations, each with it's own theme and cocktail to pair with the food. For example the sushi station offered saki and Japanese beer. There were also passed hor'dourves. The food was pretty good and the bartenders made great drinks. Dinner started off with a grilled peach salad. For the entree the NY Strip was a hearty portion; some were cooked better than others, served with lovely asparagus and mashed potatoes. It included a Rosemary sauce which was kind of overpowering. After the cake cutting, they opened the cocktail are back up and it transformed into a dessert room. S'mores, sundaes, pastries, churros they had it all. They also had a dessert martini table and they made an excellent espresso martini shaken to order. All the staff we encountered was wonderful and friendly. Even though the rain may have put a damper on the original plans, West Hills did a fabulous job making sure the day was still amazing.
