Sides include French fries and onion rings with deli food like chicken salad is available. On every Wednesday, the chef offers a Southern cuisine menu that changes week by week. They serve the special from 11-2 or until they sell out. They provide the option to call in, stop by to prepay, or walk-in based on what's available after pre-orders. Today's soul food menu consisted of baked chicken over rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for $14.99. The portions size was huge, enough to eat twice from the plate. The food was served in Styrofoam plates with dividers with individual wrapped utensils and salt & pepper packets. Condiments were available as well. Drink was not included, but since the location is inside a gas station, there was many options to choose from. The baked chicken was a chicken breast that was bigger than the size of my hand. The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. People are amazing, and so helpful to get you in the right direction on this side of town; not the best side of town to get lost on. Pat Pierson body shop is right across the street. Also, when you walk in the store, the place looks great on the inside!! They also have a great cigar wrapper collection, a REALLY nice sound system playing great music for the whole place. They are both just off of Interstate 65, so I guess it depends which way you decide to head, whether right or left, whether you save a few pennies on every gallon of gasoline that you purchase. Inside of this gas station has the usual convenience store items and the staff is relatively friendly. I guess if you live in the neighborhood this is not a bad place to grab some gasoline I may be a water or a soda for yourself.

Horrible!!!! Went in store to buy two smart waters. Went to register she said $6 and change. I…read moretold her the sign said 2 for $4.50. She said it did not apply to flavored waters. I went and pulled the tag from the cooler. Then she then she argued they were not the right size. Showed her the tag and the bottle said 700 ml. She then said the tags were old. Would not honor the price on the shelf, made up reasons why when it was shown to her. In the days of quickly swiping a card, I wonder how much mislabeling and overcharging they have done. This is WRONG. Bad business practices. Look forward to taking my business across the street to the Chevron.
