Very pleasantly surprised with this place. They have construction going on currently so you have to go through a fairly dirty area to get to the ticket counter. Tickets are cheap (5.50 for a matinee). I got there about 5 minutes before my show started and got tickets and was in a comfortable reclining chair with 2 minutes to spare before the previews started. There is tons of leg room here and half of each theater is on flat ground with tables. The rest is like a normal theater with the levels going up about 10 levels or so. They have burgers and all sorts of food, beer, wine coolers, and the normal cinema fare like popcorn, soda, and candy. It looks like a dump from the outside, especially with the construction, and I expected it to be sticky and smell bad, but it was clean and had no discernable odor. The screen was in good shape, the picture was clear, and the sound was spot on. The pre-preview stuff they were projecting was woefully out of date, advertising for movies that were going to be in the theater in October (almost three months ago) but that was pretty minor. Parking was fine for me, but the lot seemed very small and I expect parking is really bad during big opening weekends. I will definitely be using this theater when there are movies out worth going to a theater for. read more

I have driven past this theater time and time again, and really have never given it a second thought. I see my movies at the AMC Pleasure Island and that is that; but lately, the parking at Downtown Disney has been a bit of a hassle (they're building a parking garage) - add in the holiday crowds, and well, I have been doing my best to steer clear. My friend and I still had not seen Catching Fire, so we looked up the movie times and noticed that it was playing here at a time that worked for us. I was a little bit hesitant, but boy was I wrong. This theater is a gem. Reasonable prices ($6/person for a matinee and $11 for a medium popcorn, 2 medium drinks, and a pack of Twizzlers). The seats were comfortable, the aisles spacious, there are tables to hold your food - - all in all I was very impressed. I can easily see myself coming back here before going to Downtown Disney. read more

My favorite place to see a movie. They offer more than just popcorn (beer, wine, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and such), but it's laid back and low key. There's no table service to distract you like in some dinner theaters, but you can order food and drinks from concessions and bring it to your seats, which are equipped with small tables. It was recently remodeled so everything is neat and clean, and bigger than it was before, but it manages to maintain a local, cozy atmosphere. read more

Miss tenyl needs to be put in her place or something. The way she talks to customers especially me when I come here almost every weekend with my kids. The way she holds her self and treats her employees infront of customers is INEXCUSABLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I've never had a problem with this place since my kids were babies until now. Arguably one of the best values in movie viewing! West Orange 5 is a small multiplex in a nondescript strip mall in Orlando, but it's definitely worth finding when you want to go to the movies. THE ROSES: WO5 has a friendly, family-run vibe to it. The staff is very nice. The auditoriums and restrooms are quite clean. Where WO5 really stands out is the value that they give the moviegoer. Matinees are a very reasonable $6 a ticket. The concession stand is an astonishing value when compared to other movie houses. A large tub of buttered popcorn is $5 (expect to pay about $10 at other multiplexes). I don't know if this is typical of movie houses in Florida (I'm from Seattle), but they also serve beer and wine here, and you can take your bevvy into the theater! A pint of beer is $4, and a jumbo 32oz cup of beer is $5. A quart of beer for five bucks? That's insane! Despite the low prices, WO5 caters to a classy family-friendly clientele that are courteous movie watchers (no talking during the show, no one using cel phones, etc.). Before the show, they run ads for local businesses, adding to the pleasant, 'small town' feel. THE THORNS: Movie volume was a little high. THE VERDICT: Taking your family to the movies these days can be a very daunting experience for the family budget. In the nicer movie houses, you can expect to pay $10+ for a ticket, and popcorn and a drink can easily set you back $15. Here, a family of four can see a matinee with plenty of refreshments (including beer & wine for Mom & Dad!) for $50 or less! West Orange 5 may be a low-cost venue, but there's nothing low-budget about the facility, the staff, the service or the clientele. This place is a real gem! By all means check them out! read more

The theater has recently been remodeled and it looks fantastic. It's much cleaner looking, and has a lot more room to move around. The concessions have a larger area, and the ticket booth is much nicer. This theater has always impressed me with their cheaper concessions and ticket prices, but now it has a much more professional look to it. The ambiance of the entire building is perfect. Oops, Let me update and sorta correct my last review. We were in screen room #5 tonight and sadly report the 1/2 sized screen is still there. Also the viewable seating is limited (IMO) since the front 6 or 7 rows are too close under- for a movie screen that the bottom of the screen starts 6'6" or 7' more from the floor! Okay still, at only $7.00 for first run (Amer. Sniper) show is still judged a fair value for me. read more

I love this place! No, it's not your super cinema but it is a great place to see a flick! Fruit and cheese plate with a cup (no glass here) of wine just makes it that much nicer. Not a lot of kids which is FAB-U-LOUS! The prices are decent - and as cinemas go that's saying a lot! I've read one or two reviews about bad service. It sounds like maybe they were there together and something very bad happened. I've been here a lot over many years and I have never had bad service or encountered rude employees. Everyone has an off day and I'm thinking that's what happened for those folks. I love the private rooms upstairs. I've only done it once but it was fun though nothing super special. There's a table for the aforementioned cheese and wine! The main theatre used to have a lot of tables but I haven't been in that one for awhile now (luck of the draw I suppose) and I don't know if they remodeled and took that out. Give it a try the next time you are out for a movie and would like something a little different. read more

This place is seriously the best; we take a pass on the theater two miles from our house in Clermont to come here instead. Comfortable seats, tables for your drinks and food, wine and draft beer (including local fave Crooked Can), and the ticket prices are lower than any first-run theater. Add to it that you can get an entire actual meal (the fries are awesome) and a massive beer for a total of what you'd pay for a jumbo popcorn anywhere else, and it's a no-brainer! It's a huge bonus that you're support a locally owned small business taking your entertainment dollars here. read more

We went to West Orange 5 for the first time this weekend. We recently moved to the area and this theater is close to our house in Windermere. We paid $6 for a Saturday Matinee of the new Steve Jobs movie. I found this price to be VERY reasonable for a movie that was just released. From what I could see, this cinema only shows first run movies. While this is a Mom & Pop movie theater, the movie was played on a digital (DLP) projector and the screen size was large. We had lunch with our movie: two cheeseburgers and shared a soda. The burgers were delicious and large (pub sized). The soda choices they have there is Pepsi, which isn't my favorite... But they also have a large selection of beer, wine, and wine coolers. We didn't try any of their popcorn or other sweets, so I can't comment on that, but ALL of the prices were much less than expected. The only things I didn't like: their lot is tiny. No problem for a Saturday matinee, but a Friday or Saturday night may be a problem. The other thing was the seating. The theater we were in, had half table and chairs (for eating) and half standard cinema seats. The chairs in the front are very nice office chairs minus the wheels... I had no problem with it, but my wife found it uncomfortable after an hour. Overall, we will be back. Great deal, great food, close to home, and the fact that I like to support small business; we'll be back. read more

WOW! What a great place! First run movies at a fair price in a clean theatre with great picture and sound, a good staff, great popcorn and they serve beer, I mean really how could it get any better?? I love this place and love that it's right in our new neighborhood. We just moved here 2 months ago and honestly we were surprised at how packed the place gets on the weekend, now we know why! My ONLY complaint was the soda tasted off, bad water or bad carbonation or just an old system that needs to be replaced I'm not sure but it tasted like old movie theatre soda but that was my one and only complaint. Prices were excellent and will allow us to visit more often, both ticket and concession prices were very reasonable, I was sure i'd get a good ticket price and gouged at the concession stand but that wasn't the case and it was a welcome surprise! Love this vintage theater with great prices for movies and snacks. They even have beer on tap (including some from local brewery Crooked Can.) The theater features cocktail tables and seats in the front of the theater and traditional movie theater style seating in the back. This will definitely be one of my go to theaters! read more

This is a great place! I love coming here because I'm supporting a local business, the service is great. The food is cheap and good (its concession type food not gourmet but the prices are right!) nothing is overpriced like the chain theaters. And the bathrooms are always clean as opposed to some other big theaters that are a disaster on the weekends. It's a smaller theater and only two stadium theaters. But for the price, you can't get any better. And it has all the new big movies! read more

It's not your typical cineplex or state of the art AMC, Arclight, or IMAX screen, but reminds me of the local movie theater where I grew up. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is awesome inside. It's very family friendly and has a nice neighborhood feel. The new renovations really made a difference. Cheap tickets, easy parking and access, super nice staff, and I love the big theaters with the tables (look for the T next to the movie on the marquee). The sound and picture quality have been improved with the renovation, so it's been a pleasure knowing that I don't have to travel far to get that "movie experience." Food and drinks are good too. They have burgers, and awesome cheese and fruit plates that aren't as costly as the movie ticket (like other theaters). Wine and beer too. The best part is the location for anyone in the Windermere/Winter Garden/Ocoee area. I'm a fan now! read more

This is a nice theater for those in the mood for a simple night out. Having only 5 screens, you can definitely expect the crowd to be on the smaller side which is huge positive in my opinion, although you shouldn't expect to see any upcoming "indie" films to be shown here. The ticket prices are great ($6 for weekend matinee) and their food options are also cheaper than ones you'd find at the larger chain theaters. I did find the seats to be a bit uncomfortable, but take that with a grain of salt as I'm a bit (bulky?) and most chairs don't meet my expectations. There has only been minimal interactions with the staff, but they have been friendly and the entire place just seems to give off a "family friendly" vibe. I may not choose this theater when viewing any long awaited summer blockbusters, but I'll definitely return on a regular basis. read more

This is my families go to for our matinees! We love this place. The price is right and hubby and I can always count on a super cold locally brewed beer for super cheap (don't judge sometimes you need a cold one to get through a movie like Frozen). The food is reasonable and a popcorn refill is $1.00. Don't be confused this is not a huge Imax theatre. This is definitely a small hometown theater but that's what gives it charm! read more

There's a surprising amount of parking to the side and behind the building (which was my main concern when I saw this place from the road). I'll definitely return to this theater in the future. We ordered food for the first time this evening. We ordered a hamburger and French fries. The hamburger was WHITE and after one bite (thinking maybe this is a turkey burger) I knew I couldn't take another bite. The French fries were beyond horrible...must have been majorly freezer burnt. We brought the food back and was told we can't have our money back because "it takes too much from our profits". Wow. We have been to this theater multiple times but this was the first time we ordered food. Note to every customer... do NOT order the food here! read more

Ticket prices are cheaper than the larger theater. You are getting a smaller theater with smaller screens, but this does not detract from the experience. They offer a generous pour of wine. Good image and sound quality. Currently, my favorite theater, because of ease, quality, and cost. read more
