The lady told me I had to put my number in... I did and it didn't give it to me. She called a manager, and they said they can't give it to me until I register online. I had my ID in my hand, but that's not good enough. You have to get verified online otherwise they won't give you the discount. So disappointing and frustrating. I did not buy the items I came for. The crazy part is I was going to write up a positive review because I saw so many things that support the military... hence the photos I first took. But this is terrible service. "You have to pay for your things now without your discount but you can go online and register for it for further purchases". I used to be able to just show my ID card for the discount. Why would I want to return after this inconvenience and terrible customer service? I believe in technology and the world moving forward with progress, but sometimes common sense has to play into things and there should still be a way to show my military ID card and get my discount. What about the elderly vets who don't understand how to do things online? I guess they just don't ever get their discount. Why not set up a computer in store that people can register in person by showing their actual ID? Instead you tell them they can't get it for this purchase because they have no way to help you. Makes you wonder if they don't do this to prevent some of us from receiving it... makes more money for them. Seems awful convenient they have made it difficult for us to get it the discount.

Waited for associate to make plans for her…read moremother's birthday party (wish I remembered her name), then ordered ~$350 worth of materials, plywood was to be cut into 2x8 pieces, associate said she entered cutting info into delivery comments section. June 6: Materials were delivered by 8:30. Plywood UNCUT. Spoke in person to a lumber associate that afternoon, he told me no such notes were written. My wife verified that she said they were. Lumber associate said he would have the plywood picked up, cut and redelivered on Monday, June 8. Plywood was picked up at 8:30ish on Monday. On Tuesday morning, I called Lowes 12, yes, 12 times to get a return status. 5 times, no answer, 2 times, transferred to the wrong department, 4 times Randy? couldn't hear me and hung up. 1 time I got a person who took my number and said a lumber associate would call me back. 9:30 a lumber person called and said they considered my order too small to be handled right away and asked if Thursday was OK. I had no choice and accepted. Next time, Home Depot will get my business.

For example drill bits, uni-bits and tap con bits just do not last very long. Some stuff is worth paying the lots of extra money for it. Assuming it will last a long time. Because it is new, a good 25% of their stuff is still in boxes or teetering perilously. I'll visit again in a couple of weeks to see if it has better handicapped access. No A/C. Stuffy. The assortment of curio cabinets, china cabinets, and shelving up front is very well organized and easy to see, BUT if you like to poke, rummage, sort, dig, dive and tunnel - this is your new paradise! There are lots of picture frames and actual artwork (mostly prints, some originals), a plethora of crystal vases/dishes/glassware, hundreds of little decorative bears and animals (Boyd's? not my area of expertise). Some of the china is in sets and labeled with its type/setting/collection (?). The store is loosely organized by area - furniture, crystal, art, Christmas, tools, crafts, books, music, etc. The biggest category right now is STUFF. Against the back wall (trade X damage to get there) is fabric and crafts, to the right of that is books, and to the left is Christmas items. The tool & hardware area is dangerous wasteland full of sharp items arranged for maximum lethality. Hardhat required for your safety (not really, but if you have one, wear it). There are fishing poles, recip saws, circular saws, tons of wrenches (no wenches), hammers, and pliers, etc. The middle of the store is a mish-mash under the category of EVERYTHING ELSE. If you have a high tolerance for dust and must, you could spend hours poking around. I have dug around the best (and worst) thrift shops in the area, and this was too much for my tolerance. Considering I have endured places that smelled of compressed dead rats (now out of business, thank God), I could deal with the best of them. However, this one defeated me quickly. Why did I rate it highly? Because I am gracious in awarding extra stars for cool stuff in new places that I hope will finish unpacking and run an air purifier for a decade.
