I had been looking around since I had gotten my kitten wanting the best, and I found it. As soon as I walked in (there's two doors by the way, one for cats, and one for dogs, to keep them separate as much as possible, it's great), the receptionists were all happy, great at what they do, and really friendly. My appointment was at 7:30 and I got there a few minutes before. I was brought to the cat section by one of the receptionists (it's fantastic) where there was the boutique with all the cat stuff. I only waited a few minutes for the vet tech and she was lovely! She was so incredibly informative and as it was willow's first vet visit, it was my first one too. Everything went fantastic, the vet is fantastic and kept my kitten calm during his shot. I had every single question I had answered with a smile, which felt great considering this is my first cat. 100% recommend, I don't have a single bad thing to say. As a west island resident, I have tried many veterinary clinics in the area including the Pierrefonds Animal Hospital, Anima Plus in Ile Perrot and the DMV in Lachine. Each has their own areas of strength (and some have LOTS of weaknesses), but I have found that Dr. Nina Gauthier at the Timberlea clinic is the most consistent, reliable and compassionate vet that I have dealt with in a long time. I have brought cats to her with issues ranging from a simple flea infestation to thyroid disease, calcivirus and cancer. In every instance she took the time to properly diagnose the animal, research & propose treatment options and come up with an effective solution that takes our multi-cat household into consideration. When our fur-babies get sick, it is always stressful, since they can't tell us what's wrong - and we can't explain that we're trying to help them, but Dr. Gauthier takes the time to answer my questions and is always patient and kind with the animals - even when they pee on her out of fear of a 1st-time vet visit! The team of technicians, support staff, assistants and groomers are also caring and friendly and give me the confidence to leave my animals in their care. I feel like they will treat my cats as they would their own. The Timberlea clinic is equipped to do most diagnostic tests (except CT scans) as well as general surgeries and even dental extractions. The one drawback is that if an animal requires hospitalization, there is no technician on staff overnight to check in and take action if complications arise. For this reason, I take my cats to the DMV in Laval (NOT Lachine) when I know they will require an overnight stay. There is also an extensive boutique with lots of unique pet products as well as a good selection of food & treats. Prices both in the boutique and for vet services are about average for what you would pay at any local vet, and much less expensive than the DMV emergency clinic. I am a BIG fan of this clinic and all it has to offer and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for superior care for their animals.

Most people charge 20 dollars a day just to visit your house for an hour. I wanted my cat to have company, to be feed on his regular schedule and to feel love. I mean, 3 weeks is a long time for a cat to be alone at home. After doing lots of research we found Mary Ann at chat-a-tout. Her and her children are some of the most genuine and pet loving people you can meet! They sent us photos and videos everyday of our cat. Hemingway stood in there home and was truly treated as one of the family. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my pet was happy, healthy and having fun! If you want to travel worry free knowing that your pet is in good hands you could not ask for better people.

How can we begin to explain the absolute disaster that took place? To start with, as others have said here it was a nightmare to try to reach the kennel to begin with. We spoke first with a Nicole who was very clear in her explanation of the details of the application but very rude and sharp with her words. We get it, they are busy and once we finally heard back after two weeks (Tim admitted that we may have gotten lost in the pile of applications) we were then dealt with appropriately, but after that, a lot of the correspondence was confused with repeated questions and repeated information. Everything was then set up and approx 4 weeks later our little Morty was picked up by Tim and taken away to the kennel where he would spend two nights and three days including a trip to the vet before then being shipped off to the UK with Air Canada Cargo. Morty spent one night at the kennel and the next day we found out through a friend ON FACEBOOK that our dog was MISSING from the vet that he had his check up with. What then proceeded was a web of lies, mixed information and stress/trauma that our dog is STILL recovering from nearly one month later. Essentially, the incompetent worker from the kennel who took Morty to the vet opened her car door and attempted to put a collar on him while he was free to run...which he did. Unbelievable. So imagine, we hear from our friends who have seen a notice on social media that our dog is missing and no-one NOT A SINGLE PERSON from manoir Kanisha contacted us to let us know. We rushed over to the vet (while calling the kennel who straight up lied that he was fine and well in the kennel) and through a process of elimination we found out which vet he was at. We arrived and the woman who had lost him said he was missing for one hour and had been found by her husband. Fast forward to when we managed to speak to Tim who said he was missing for three hours and had been found by a stranger who had seen the missing poster they had printed. Super super strange and highly unprofessional. You have to understand, while waiting to find out if he had been found (as the kennel lied and told us he was fine and well while we knew he was missing) we were trying to change flights to the UK with our baby, completely stressful and absolutely unnecessary. While we understand accidents happen...we shouldn't find out that our dog was missing through social media and find that the kennel was lying to us...we have paid $3,000 to ensure that accidents DONT happen. We wonder if the kennel would have ever told us about the incident as he was found in the end. He was then eventually brought back to the kennel for his second night where we are sent one photo of him (we were promised two to three pictures) and Tim's excuse was that the light was too poor to take photographs...we were getting more and more infuriated and nervous that we were being lied to once again. Then, our dog arrives in the UK and his blanket that he needs to keep him soothed was missing...we reach out the UK and they say he was never shipped with a blanket. Of course, the incompetent kennel had shipped our dog without it. They sent it and it arrived to us just a few days ago. This whole ordeal cost us so much stress and anxiety and to be honest, our dog has become incredibly anxious and traumatized because of this. This shouldn't have happened like this, we paid for our dog to be kept safe and well and to be shipped in comfort. Lastly, Manoir Kanisha offered to pay for the vet bill from the vet where he was lost...that was promised to us both in writing and over the phone from Tim and we haven't heard a thing. Nicole was one of the rudest people I've frankly dealt with in customer service. We demanded compensation and received 0, not even a response back. We advise anyone reading this to stay FAR FAR away from this kennel; unprofessional and rude and to top it off... lying to us about the state of our dog. BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT.

Their service was first class from the moment they picked up my dog from my family residence and took her to the Manoir Kanisha. During her boarding I had regular telephone contact with staff and received pictures confirming that she was doing great and in optimum care. I had peace of mind that she was in the right place and with the right professionals. When I needed to extend my dog's stay for a week during the holiday season, a place was made for my dog to stay at Manoir Kanisha. The staff(s) and especially France, were extremely graceful, empathetic and comforting towards our recent grief. She brought us unto a private room to mourn our little Oliver and explain to us - step by step - the procedures for a private cremation that we desired. The very next morning, she called us to see how we were holding on with our mourning. We will be eternally grateful to France who demonstrated such love and understanding towards us. We HIGHLY recommend this Hospital for the excellent service - with the vets as well with the technicians and receptionists - and human touch that they had towards our furry baby Oliver. Never board your dog at Les Anges Gardiennes. They stopped having someone stay with the animals…read moreovernight over a year ago, but didn't tell customers. They just pretend nothing changed. They put the dogs in cages, stacked floor to ceiling, in a tiny room with signs banning entry, so owners don't know how badly their animals are being treated. From the time the daycare closes at 7:00pm until after 7:00am the next morning there is no one there, and the dogs are stuck in little cages for 12+ hours. There is just a camera in the room and who knows if they monitor that. They make a show of putting some cats roaming freely in an office off reception, but they won't show you where they actually stick the dogs who are boarding there: in tiny cages that are off-limits and behind closed doors. I saw the disgusting room because a lovely person in reception told me to avoid boarding there, and showed me the room even though they could have been fired. The people who work in the daycare are fabulous, but the woman who runs the place, Vanessa, is super sweet to your face and takes your money, and then shoves your dog, alone and scared, in a small room and lies to you about someone being there. Oh, also, Vanessa steals tips. The people who work there are so lovely (and you should tip them!!!) but NEVER let Vanessa see you do it, she'll take it for herself, because "they owe her." NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.

The completely bilingual counter staff was kind and courteous, and within 10 minutes we were in an exam room with Dr. Fatihi, who gave Lydia the Kittia a complete look-over. He ran some tests (some in-office, some sent out to the lab), and gave me a thorough explanation of the situation and our options. We went home with some medicine and a big free bag of cat chow, awaiting a call back on test results the next day. For an exam, an ultrasound, urinalysis, blood test, some canned food, some painkillers, and the big bag of cat food, we only paid $260. I was expecting about double, and was grateful it was so affordable. We were heading out of town to visit family over Easter weekend, so I asked at Journet if they did boarding or knew of cat-sitters who could come and feed Lydia her antibiotics twice daily. Dan, at the front desk, said, "oh, you live really close. I can do it." And he did. For free. And even left some extra cans of food and a cat toy for Lydz. That's just incredible. That doesn't happen. But it did at Journet. It's a great clinic, with great facilities, great stock for sale in their boutique, great prices for veterinary services (with an effort not to push the more expensive option, but to give you informed choices), and great staff. If only people doctors in Montreal were this great...

To be honest, I've never met a vet I didn't like, but Dr. James Rassi at the LaSalle Vet Clinic goes above and beyond. I took one of my cats recently who had some blood in her urine for an x-ray. When I entered the room with the x-ray scan on display, the technician was still in the room. I took advantage to ask her if the scans appeared normal. She said something to the effect of "well looks like she has some stones..." This freaked me out as I was terrified of my cat having bladder stones and needing an expensive & risky surgery. A minute later, Dr. Rassi walks in smiling. To be clear, he was wearing a mask, but his delight was visible regardless. In my panicked state, I snapped, "why do you look so happy... she has stones!" He quickly reassured me that in fact it was only kidney stones, something quite common with mature cats. No surgery would be needed, and she'll be fine with some additional vet food. After realizing my mistake and absorbing the good news, I was so thrilled that I could have hugged him. As mentioned earlier, I've had great vets for decades, but none quite as passionate and kind as Dr. Rassi. He is truly one of a kind and your pet would be lucky to be in his care.

Wow... I can't believe I almost didn't give this place a shot because of the other reviews. So…read morepleasantly surprised and we have found our new vet clinic for Irie!! Will definitely be comin back here for all our pet needs. We called first. I asked questions regarding starting a new file fee (0$), consultation fee (65$ per visit), and how many vets they had (3...with a 4th on maternity leave until October). I explained we had heard bad things about the owner lady vet (as per other reviews) and preferred to have a different vet than her: no problem we were told and not the slightest hint of attitude or anything. That was impressive! And a good sign. After discussing and deciding we would take a chance with this place...we called back and got an appointment for within less than an hour with Dr. Teresa Sweet (it seemed like a pretty good omen). The place is close to us, so we had a nice walk over. Entered the super clean, well organized, tiny clinic and were greeted and sat to wait. There's help urself coffee and coloring books for the kiddos. The products are surprisingly decently priced for a vet's clinic. (Ex 63$ for a super quality hypoallergenic large bag of dog chow is totally reasonable!) We were called shortly after our arrival and the technician Isabelle was absolutely fantastic with Irie. She saw Irie was nervous so right away asked us if it was ok to give her a treat...that gained points with both Irie and us! She was friendly and helpful and explained so much to us, helping us feel better that we are not to blame for poor Irie's allergies n ear infection. She also patiently showed us how to clean her ears and made sure we felt comfortable doing it ourselves. Then we met with Dr. Sweet...Irie's new vet. She was just perfect! Young but knowledgeable and so super caring and thorough! She examined Irie with tenderness and was exactly as her name: sweet, the whole time. They had many, many, many opportunities to price gauge us ...but they didn't, not once. They even asked if we wanted to pay for the infectious material to be tested or just blindly give Irie a med which may or may not treat the infection (we obviously paid to have it tested being that Irie is so sensitive to meds!). We'll be back in two weeks for a follow up and are so appreciatively happy to have found these wonderful people to care for our pets!!!
