The price is competitive with all other local veterinary services. It's a bit out of a drive if you live downtown, it's in the west island, however the quality care provided by the staff overrules the drive. If you have an animal, do them a favor and take them to this vet for all their medical needs.

The completely bilingual counter staff was kind and courteous, and within 10 minutes we were in an exam room with Dr. Fatihi, who gave Lydia the Kittia a complete look-over. He ran some tests (some in-office, some sent out to the lab), and gave me a thorough explanation of the situation and our options. We went home with some medicine and a big free bag of cat chow, awaiting a call back on test results the next day. For an exam, an ultrasound, urinalysis, blood test, some canned food, some painkillers, and the big bag of cat food, we only paid $260. I was expecting about double, and was grateful it was so affordable. We were heading out of town to visit family over Easter weekend, so I asked at Journet if they did boarding or knew of cat-sitters who could come and feed Lydia her antibiotics twice daily. Dan, at the front desk, said, "oh, you live really close. I can do it." And he did. For free. And even left some extra cans of food and a cat toy for Lydz. That's just incredible. That doesn't happen. But it did at Journet. It's a great clinic, with great facilities, great stock for sale in their boutique, great prices for veterinary services (with an effort not to push the more expensive option, but to give you informed choices), and great staff. I had to take my beautiful cat there in November as she was very sick and we were worried to death. I called to see if they could see her( my cat) and they squeezed me in due to a cancellation less than 2 hours after I called. This wasn't my regular vet clinic which is the Chateauguay Veterinary Hospital on Anjou in Chateauguay. We had literally been to our regular one the week before and they were terrible and we had been going there for 5 years. Needless to say they lost a customer and will never set foot there again. The on in Mercier agreed to take our furbaby on as a patient and I will be forever grateful. Literally just a day or two after going there our furbaby was pretty much back to her awesome self. I will never be able to thank them enough for their empathy and how well they treated not only our cat but us too. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet and will.

Care for my pet was tops, with a great outcome. Costs for veterinary emergency care are often difficult - particularly for us healthcare-blessed Canadians who aren't used to medical care having direct costs - so emergency vet bills can seem alarming. On occasions when I need to take my pet to the vet emergency, it makes me appreciate our healthcare system all the more. For what it's worth, having recently relocated to Montréal, DMVs costs were lower than I expected based on what I had previously paid in other cities.
