Bridgeport Hope School is a good academic school. I had 3 of my children all graduated from BHS,…read moreand I've seen remarkable growth in his/her academic performance and character education. The teachers are very attentive, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive. It's a small school, they have limits and a lack of resources like a lack of sports. However, the school truly prioritizes every child's well-being, both academically and emotionally. My kids didn't learn drugs or substances. Never experienced violence. Teachers watched them and intervened for the kinds of provocative situations. We got enough for what we paid for. Overall, it was a good decision for our kids.

Raj, who runs the Trumbull and North Haven center is very easy to work with as well. I like that they offer support classes but also classes for enrichment. My son, who's a bit mite advanced in both subjects, is no longer feeling unchallenged in school because he takes these classes in between! MATH: With today's changing times where elementary and middle schools are leaning toward the common core German method of teaching (like the more well known and reputable universities in our country!) I think a program like this is going to be critical to helping our children understand the fundamentals of math. Schools today may not be able to teach both with an aggressive/limited school schedule unlike foreign countries who attend school year round and have the proper time. I have already found my son living to solve math problems and testing himself on skills. Unprompted! READING: great to learn handwriting, reading technique. My son has always loved books but now I find he's also loves writing things for me to read. It's awesome. We also discovered in school he is a speed reader and enjoys long novels. These classes ares teaching him how to use words properly and also the various meaning to the same words. Including sound variations. Summary: well worth the investment.

Holy Trinity School is a terrific place to attend and to have your children attend…read more Since 1913 they've educated thousands of boys and girls in Wallingford and prepared them for high school and for life. It's a classic Catholic school: people matter; people are important; personal gifts are to be developed and it provides a place where everyone is accepted. I look back on my 9 years (yes; kindergarten, too) at HTS with great appreciation for the teachers and the Sisters. It was a happy place to be and I made friends who were nice kids who grew up to be even nicer people! Tuition paid for a Catholic school is the best investment you can make for your child. I know it was for my parents--they got a solid educational return for their money and their children went to great Catholic high schools and earned graduate degrees. Congratulations, HTS!

I am so pleased to have worked with College Planning Partnerships! Their experience, clarity, and…read moreexcellent tutors really made the difference for me and helped me achieve my desired score. Before, I struggled with pacing and understanding what the test was really looking for. However, the sessions I took helped create a step-by-step plan that I would follow for each section. The help I received was specific to my needs and weaknesses on the test. They did not teach the test as if there was a set formula to doing well. My tutors were very encouraging and motivating. Also, after each session, my tutors provided extensive feedback to myself and my parents on my performance during the session. This was invaluable information. They had more faith in my abilities than I did! I would highly recommend College Planning Partnerships to anyone in need of SAT or ACT prep.

Sam and Zac were incredibly helpful in preparing me for the SAT and I went into the test more confident than I ever had for standardized tests in the past. Initially I was skeptical about the online tutoring, but I quickly realized that it was an extremely useful tool. With the offices being almost an hour away, the online tutoring was very convenient for my family and me and it allowed for much more flexibility with planning. Even though it was online, I didn't feel like any part of the tutoring was lacking because the tutors were so engaged and all of the materials we would have used in person were right in front of me on my computer screen. These prep classes really helped to make the test seem much less intimidating and I became more relaxed and calm when taking the test as a result. I learned so many useful test-taking strategies and was able to manage my time much more effectively. After taking the SAT for the first time, my scores were much higher than my PSAT scores earlier this year, and critical reading, which had often been my weakest section in past standardized tests, became one of my strongest sections on the SAT. Thank you so much for all of your help!
