When walking between buildings, you enjoy a park-like atmosphere, and it is so pleasant to simply sit outdoors and enjoy the surroundings and the views from the hill. As a student at Hopkins I appreciated the landscape, and as an alumna I love visiting campus for various reasons, including showing it to visiting friends as a major New Haven attraction. As a gardener myself I think all of the plantings are incredibly lovely and well-placed.

While in the area, I had to make a visit. It was founded in 1701 and is one of the top 3 Ivy Leagues. It is known for their law, political science, medicine, drama, and history programs. I love the Gothic architecture. They made walking around accessible. They even offer tours. Overall, I think it is a lovely school and highly notable.

The amazing, dedicated teachers have created a nurturing environment, where the students really get to know each other. As a result, they have created a unique space where kids feel comfortable to learn, grow, and to be curious. Students are advanced and challenged according to their abilities and interests in a small class environment where they stay engaged and connected. The school provides wonderful breadth of activities beyond the core academics, including twice a week field trips, a Kingian nonviolence class, music, theater, cooking, community service, student run work shops, and other enriching experiences. Our son loves going to CELC, and CELC has inspired him to learn and to be his best self there.
