So this happened! A road trip later and we arrived for "Move In" day for our son. Such an adventure and of course beyond proud of the opportunity he will have. The students were all so great and friendly as we got my son settled. This campus is filled with amazing history and character. We are excited to hear what is next for our "FROCO". Here is to the class of 2026!

My family and I'll stop by Yale University while we were on our big Northeast trip. I didn't know where y'all was we went to in the area in there at Willis that's how we got to go by hills this is one of the most famous universities around. So we enjoyed ourselves getting a lot of good pictures and we walk around Saul has a very nice campus with a lot of history behind that you could tell. So this is a very nice university to walk on and to look at

Yale University is one of the top universities in the world especially in Humanities, Art and Law with a beautiful campus. Most buildings are outmoded and historical since Yale University was founded in 1701, it is the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. The only complaint I have is the bad traffic around the campus that we couldn't feel relaxed while walking around the neighborhood.

This review is only for a brief walk through as a visitor to the campus and in no wah reflects the campus education or programming. Yet another mystifyingly beautiful college campus in the Ivy League. Yale ranks up with only Harvard and Cornell as one of the prettiest college campuses I've ever visited. The architecture is seriously fantastic and looks ancient with incredible Gothic style in every place. It's also huge! Taking up a large area of New Haven. The university has loads of different museums, art galleries, and tons of other things to explore and do. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and everybody was very friendly. Great visit and an enjoyable place to walk and explore!

Very beautiful campus, very surprised by Yale. Didn't get to try local food due to covid-19. If I get a chance to come back will definitely try the famous ice cream shop.

Full transparency, my wife went to Yale. It's a lovely campus and an idyllic college town. However, much of the campus is locked up due to security issues. I'm used to big open campuses like in the Big Ten Universities, so that was a little off putting. That said, this is one of the classic American universities, so check it out. Probably worth doing the official tour.

Was here towards the end of the summer visiting with my daughter and son as part of a tour trip. This is the best looking institution I have ever visited. Certain areas are open to the public so you can tour the campus on your own. I paid for a guided tour so we saw areas that are not open to the public. The library with the historical, barely touched books and dimly lit was breath taken. You have to put this place on your activity list. Looking at all of the historical buildings, statues, and learning about the history of this institution is a gift in itself and a wonderful learning experience for all ages. The grounds are extremely clean and we had the opportunity to meet some of the students and staff members here. They were all very nice and well spoken. While we were visiting we bumped into incoming freshmans moving their belongings into the dorm. There was a team of current students helping them with their move. The experience alone will make me come back here to visit again. It's like going to an outdoor museum.

My reviews is about the tour and the museums and the architecture of the university. 1) Yale has some of the best museums of any university. It is better then Princeton. 2) The architecture is amazing, although Princeton and Harvard is a little better. 3) I took the tour, which is amazing. The Beinecke library is unbelievable.

Beautiful university with old gothic campus and strong academic reputation. Some of the famous students of the past include Bill Clinton, David Duchovny, George W. Bush, and Hillary Clinton.

"best place to see in new haven... wonderful building and museum" beautiful buildings. great architecture. large campus. Art Museum. everything is there, it is sort of one tourist spot rather than a university. I thoroughly enjoyed roaming this place. The library is so big and beautiful. The art museum has no entrance fee, it has 3-4 floors. the museum has gathered really nice sculpture and information from around the world. Don't forget it comes under IVY league ;)

Yale might just edge out Harvard as being the most attractive campus in the Ivy League. The university dominates New Haven, but still seems to seamlessly integrate into the overall landscape. Parking is available all over the city, and the train station is close to campus. The overall gothic architecture is reminiscent of Hogwarts and is home to the best and brightest from all over the world. This is an urban campus with limited green spaces, but walking down the streets and alleys is just plain cool and a little haunting. Many important and powerful students passed through these walls. This place oozes history and power. It is almost intoxicating to experience. New Haven is a nice day trip for most of New England and New York, and visiting Yale is a great excuse.

Yes, to answer Eric L.'s question. People with too much time on their hands will write reviews on Ivy League schools. I am going to yelp about my time visiting the campus here. If you want to read reviews of the people who could not get into Yale, read the other reviews. The mister and I enjoyed our time visiting the campus on a sunny afternoon in the Fall. I liked the quick tip noting Yale looks like Hogwarts. Walking on the grounds, I do feel that I am walking back in time of the old country. I do assure that you not see Harry Potter, that red headed kid, the girl, and Professor Snape any time soon. We started to our walk on Grove St. and found the places where the intellectuals and their visiting parents go eat and shop for groceries. We found ourselves walking about the Schools of Management and Engineering. We walked inside Memorial Hall because the we saw people going inside and wanted to see the commotion was about . It turns out that there was was a music show for a kids choir. We left from Memorial Hall through exiting a different way and brought us into its world of Architecture from History into the Future. The history, majestic columns lining Memorial Hall and Cathedral Structure that housed the impressive Sterling library. The mister and I enjoyed the beauty of these historical gems. We also enjoyed our people watching too. We observed students proudly displaying their Yale logo sweatshirts, joggers wearing out their shorty shorts in a chilly afternoon, and the aspiring actors sitting on the grassy lawns reading their lines. Awwww, gives me the feeling of nostalgia, to be young, care free, and not give a damn. What a nice walk through Yale U.

My husband and I went on the free tour given by the university. It is given at Monday through Friday 10:30am and 2pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm from the visitor center. It is started by a video and then an undergrad takes you around campus. You learn about some of the early leader of Yale. You also learn about the unique living conditions for undergrads at Yale. Many of the building and architecture is also described. The tour last about 90 minutes and covers a large portion of the campus. A lot of walking and a good clip. Then you end the tour at the Yale Bookstore. The young man tried to answer all of the groups questions the best he could. Overall a great way to get a high level understanding of the campus. It is free and was glad we made the time to do it. If you have never been in the area a good way to get your bearings.

Campus was beautiful, even on a not-so-perfect weather day. Large enough feel to make one realize they're in college, without urban sprawl to make one feel lost. Many building are beautiful. Some dated, but that's why we have capital campaigns, right? :) Our tour guide, Alina, was simply phenomenal. Clearly authentic, unscripted, but yet knew all the pertinent detail. She made the trip so much better than others we've been on for either of our two boys.

They never said this while you are paying and going! Then they had a little department that was supposed to hook you up with jobs, but none worked out. This school is not a respected school to get you anywhere in the job market, you really have to go to a private school - at least by the time you get a degree. Those are the only schools that are respected out here. I felt as if I waste my time, because I had a better job BEFORE I finished my degree, but I had to give the job up because I could not find a must-have class to fit outside of my work schedule. I ASSUMED that finishing the degree would make me better off, so I would not have to worry about getting an even better job down the road. Sadly, i cannot get any job! a degree from this school (unless you come from a rich family, are a mason or have a direct hookup), is worth about as much as a roll of toilet paper! if i had the chance to do it all over again - i would have kept my job. i would have been good by now.

I have been blessed with teachers who want to help the student succeed beyond race , religion and economic status'. Housatonic is a diversified school! Anyone can call and will most likely call Housatonic a home away from home institution . Gateway is only know for their new architectural building structure of random teachers roaming down the hallways only concerned about their paychecks instead of the students career goals. I agree with Marisol, but I'll put in my two cents on top…read more I love the crowd, even if it is a little on the nerdy side. The lounge and the dining hall are relaxing spots to hang out in, and Friday happy hours come with free! alcohol and greasy, repetitive but free! food. In fact, the law school is a fantastic resource for the hungry and cheap. (Caveat: cover for 3 years will set you back something to the tune of oh...$132,000.) If you hang around at 1:00 PM or after 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday, it takes very little diligence to scrounge free Thai, Indian, pizza, and if you're lucky, something else (but you have to be quite lucky). The courtyard is perfect for hanging out in warmer months, but it may as well be closed for business during the winter. If you need to unwind indoors, the couches in the lounge and the four armchairs on the main floor of the library make for prime nappy time, and no one judges you for drooling. One complaint I have about Yale Law School is that the lunchtime crowd in the dining hall is terribly and visibly young. The library is also a total undergraduate hotspot. I think YLS would be much improved if it poached the bouncer from Anchor and made all the underaged children take their biology textbooks and study at Toad's.
