A bit of a drive, but that's OK for me, I like to go to Kittery whenever I can and not for the retail but for the restaurant scene (go Black Birch!!). But I found some kickin' frames from some London designer, and I picked 'em on the spot with some seriously high-tech Zeiss lenses. When I picked them up a few weeks later, I thought everything looked fine in the store, but over the course of the next few weeks I realized that these glasses were pretty weird. I had to keep my whole body in perfect posture in order to get the distance in focus. While this was good for my spine, it was distracting and I ended up not even wearing these otherwise awesome spectacles. Jump forward a year later, and I finally brought the offending glasses to an optician in Portland, ME. They informed me that the lenses had been simply made wrong. And that they doubted the shop in Portsmouth would correct the error because it had been more than a year. So my bad. I figured what the hell, I will give it a try. I brought the specs back to the store and they took them over. Long story short, they phoned me up and said "Our bad", the lenses had been made wrong, and they went on to replace them for free!! I am a seriously stylin' dude now, attracting way more attention for my new frames than I am ever used to getting. So that is my testimony, and they get the full five stars for their friendly and generous customer service!!

Dr. Hartenstein took more then enough time to explain every part of my eye exam to me, and I felt as though she genuinely cared almost as if I was a personal family member of hers. The last time I used the benefit in 2024 it was with MyEyeDoctor at a location in Florida. I was not happy. They made a big effort to upsell us to frames we didn't need or want. Once we has the glasses there was always a long wait to have the frames adjusted. I decided to try MyEyeDoctor in Portsmouth, NH to have our latest exam and glass fittings. I'm so happy I did. After the eye exam, Mary helped us find our frames. There was no pressure from Mary. She was a wonderful help. When we went to pick up our glasses we met Tara. What a lovely person. Tara helped us get our initial adjustment and she was so nice to talk with as she adjusted our frames. My wife had to return yesterday to have her frames adjusted. Once again she was taken care of by Tara. Today my wife told me that her glasses were very comfortable. Thank you, Tara. My conclusion is that MyEyeDoctor in Portsmouth, NH is a very well managed office. The personal care of the employees we interacted with is very much appreciated.
