Such a bogus thing to do and illegal as well. I never agreed to a $40.00 hidden administrative fee. That is so wrong!! I will be sure to tell everyone in town to go to the competition instead.

I had my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Krieger and could not have had a better experience!…read moreThe staff was so warm and welcoming! The Technician Kim was super friendly and thoroughly explained every step of the process to me. I had a concern from previous eye care visit at a different practice and she assured me that she would bring my concern to Dr. Krieger and make sure that it was addressed during my visit. Both Kim and Dr. Krieger took the time to explain the images of my eyes from Optos, which helped me to understand my eye anatomy and how it affects my vision. Dr. Krieger had an excellent bedside manner, was very personable and very thorough. She reassured me that the concern another eye doctor had mentioned was not something that I needed to worry about and was able to explain why while showing me diagrams of the eye anatomy. At the end of the visit, Amanda printed out a copy of my glasses prescription and gave it to me without hesitation (something I have had to insist on at other places). She without any pressure offered to help me look at frames. The entire process was seamless and the care was excellent! I cannot recommend McLoughlin Eyecare enough!! I also want to add that I am a school nurse at a local school and McLoughlin eyecare took AMAZING care of one of my kids from school whose family struggles financially. It is very clear that they really care about the community and this is actually what made me decide to switch and go here! I could not be happier that I did! :)

The 3D picture is absolutely the way to go no matter if it's covered by your insurance or you have to pay the small fee it is well worth it. Although Hampton Eyecare Associates was extremely busy the day of my appointment, the entire staff from the wonderful ladies at the front desk to the gentleman who took my medical information and on to the doctor made me feel as though I was the only person that mattered during my appointment. Dr. Hartenstein took more then enough time to explain every part of my eye exam to me, and I felt as though she genuinely cared almost as if I was a personal family member of hers. I honestly have no association with this office and this was truly my first visit but I believe in a good review when there's something good to be said and this office is definitely worth an A+ review!! Great team!!

I had a really pleasant experience at this eyeglasses shop, let me tell you about it…read more I came down to Portsmouth NH from good reviews of this shop and looking for a little more selection than I could find in the Kennebunks. A bit of a drive, but that's OK for me, I like to go to Kittery whenever I can and not for the retail but for the restaurant scene (go Black Birch!!). But I found some kickin' frames from some London designer, and I picked 'em on the spot with some seriously high-tech Zeiss lenses. When I picked them up a few weeks later, I thought everything looked fine in the store, but over the course of the next few weeks I realized that these glasses were pretty weird. I had to keep my whole body in perfect posture in order to get the distance in focus. While this was good for my spine, it was distracting and I ended up not even wearing these otherwise awesome spectacles. Jump forward a year later, and I finally brought the offending glasses to an optician in Portland, ME. They informed me that the lenses had been simply made wrong. And that they doubted the shop in Portsmouth would correct the error because it had been more than a year. So my bad. I figured what the hell, I will give it a try. I brought the specs back to the store and they took them over. Long story short, they phoned me up and said "Our bad", the lenses had been made wrong, and they went on to replace them for free!! I am a seriously stylin' dude now, attracting way more attention for my new frames than I am ever used to getting. So that is my testimony, and they get the full five stars for their friendly and generous customer service!!
