By far the best place to go for an alignment. Had an appointment today with Darren to install rear sway bar endlinks and get a track alignment done on my MK8 Golf R. First he installed the endlinks, then he came and talked to me to see what my goals were with the alignment and what I was looking for. My car handles how it should after Darren made some fine tuning of my BMW HAS system on my F80 M3. My car had a right drift that other alignment shops couldn't figure out how to correct. Went here 12 years ago in my 300zx TT....how times of changed now with my Tesla Performance. Chris is still there with the excellent knowledge and customer service, albeit new location. Got my car dialed in as best he could and it drives so much better. The shop is in the back and a bit non descript without a large West End Alignment logo on the building. Darin is super knowledgeable. After first meeting & talking with him I knew he was going to take my money lol. Got alignment on my lowered 350z with lots of aftermarket parts on it, angle kit, coilovers, camber arms, adjustable upper arms, etc. he was able to get everything dialed jn in a couple hours He can align for maximum tire wear, road race, drift etc no problem. I cannot recommend this place enough. Darren and Chris are so professional, knowledgeable, attention to detail and honest and great guys. You can tell they're really trying to offer the best service possible, while not trying to mark up their services or overcharge. OCD car fools like us know nobody else is going to do the perfect alignment for you, or you will get the big ??? look if you are wanting something more aggressive than factory specs. Most importantly, nobody else will give a damn about your alignment results in the end. Except this place... Call, make an appointment day/time, get a quote for your car. Show up and get the best alignment of your car's life and go home happy. Cost seems to be a bit higher than maybe dealer prices, but you are getting an alignment done by a specialist, tailored to your driving needs. Maybe for normal cars the price will be about what dealers charge, not sure. Come to think of it, I should have had wife's car alignment done here instead of at the dealer. Just not as convenient, since dealers are open Saturdays while West End is only open weekdays. But if you can swing an hour or so during the week, I would definitely bring ALL CARS here for alignments. My alignment got done within an hour I think. Sent out for a quick test drive to check for steering wheel centeredness. Felt it was slightly off to the left, so drive back on the ramps to be lifted up and Chris knows what to turn to adjust the angle you showed him that you felt was off. Back out to verify and be fully satisfied before you pay and leave. As everyone else says, highly recommended. Especially for performance oriented cars/drivers. Needed to have my new ( to me ) BMW M4 alignment checked and these guys saved my a$$. right off the bat they noticed that one of my rear shock springs was out of place. Really friendly and informative guys, the price is good too. They do great work, and do precisely what you ask them to. There are 2 reasons I won't give this place a 5. First off, over the phone I was quoted $55, and when it came time to pay, I was pleased with the service, I was going to tip the guy $5. When he rang me up though, he told me it was $60.... I don't like being told one price over the phone, then being charged another price in person. The next reason is again, over the phone, I asked how long it would take. I'm pretty experienced with alignments, being a mechanic myself, I just don't have my own rack. I know they get busy too, I wanted to allocate about 1-1.5hrs for this job, so I could go back to work. In scheduling my day, I was told the job would only take 45mins. In actuality though, it did indeed take 1.5-2hrs, like I had originally anticipated. I just feel like I'm being told all this BS over the phone, just to get you to come in. Then when the rubber hits the road, I'm met with a much different picture than promised. The guys run a good shop, and do good work, they don't need to lie about anything. Honesty is the best policy. read more
