This office is part of the Smile Generation network, which is a corporate dental group. After what I experienced, it felt very clear that the focus is on revenue, not patient care. To be blunt, I feel like this dental office straight up scammed me. I've never felt that way about a medical provider before, but they told me I needed procedures I didn't actually need and charged me for services I don't believe I truly received. At one of my first visits, they said I needed a "deep cleaning" that cost over $1,000. But a true deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) goes under the gums to remove buildup and bacteria, is usually done in sections, takes longer than a regular cleaning, and requires numbing because it's not comfortable. None of that happened in my case. The appointment was the same length as a regular cleaning, nothing was numbed, and it didn't feel any different. My cousin is a dentist and said that's highly unusual. Looking back, it feels like I was billed for a deep cleaning but only given a standard cleaning. After that, every visit turned into the same conversation about "bone loss," which they used to push a laser treatment almost every time. Based on their explanation, I trusted them and agreed to it repeatedly. The final straw was my most recent appointment. Just three months prior, I had been there for a cleaning and a filling, and at that time they told me everything looked fine and never mentioned needing a deep cleaning. Then suddenly, after they canceled my original appointment without notice and moved it, I rearranged my entire day to come in, only to be told I now needed a $1,200 deep cleaning instead of the regular cleaning I had scheduled. This is now the second time they've tried to charge me for a deep cleaning. When I declined due to time, they canceled my appointment entirely and pushed me out another month. At that point, something felt off, so I got a second opinion from a dentist outside of this network. He showed me everything on camera and told me I have no bone loss and do not need a deep cleaning. He also showed me that a filling Roanoke Dental recently did was done incorrectly and now requires a crown. I emailed Roanoke Dental to cancel and explain my concerns. They never responded. Between being pushed into expensive treatments, being told I had conditions I don't have, inconsistent diagnoses within just three months, and receiving questionable dental work, I have completely lost trust. If you're looking for a dentist, I strongly recommend going somewhere independent. Based on my experience, this felt far more like a sales operation than a healthcare provider.

I went ahead and did new X-rays and a full exam and what do you know, I was told my teeth look great. The whole experience was fantastic and I am so glad I opted for a 2nd opinion. I had no cavities and they could have easily told me I did and made the money. So thankful for amazing offices like this.

I was told yes. At the appointment, the cleaning felt rushed and unusual. It lasted about 20 minutes and no standard cleaning tools were used, which was concerning. After that, the dentist told me I had 10 cavities and immediately asked if I wanted to fill all of them. This was shocking and did not seem realistic, especially since I've had no pain and no major dental issues previously. To make matters worse, I later received a bill because my insurance supposedly did not cover some of the technology they used, despite the fact that I explicitly asked for a covered cleaning ahead of time. Had I been told otherwise, I would have made a different decision. Overall, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend asking very detailed questions and getting everything in writing before proceeding with treatment here.

I was seen by Dr. Chad Allen who is very awesome. Although I don't like to be kept waiting, that aside Dr. Allen made me feel comfortable from the start. As soon as he walked in to the patient's treatment room, I had no doubts of his abilities. He told step by step what I should expect, even though I wasn't nervous. They have really good tunes going on the radio which made the whole visit comfortable. I've been recommending Dr. Chad Allen of Southlake Endodontics to my neighbors, family, etc. In fact I had to seen him again because I kept feeling sensitivity on the tooth that he worked on (no problems found due to the procedure), and on the way home stopped by Tom Thumb store in Grapevine and was talking to the cashiers. And I had told them about Dr. Allen and one of the ladies said she was looking for a Doctor because she needed a root canal. I talked up Dr. Allen because he truly did an awesome job. Truth be told even after the procedure I truly had no pain whatsoever. This man knows what he is doing and I highly recommend him, and to make this even great. Micha who is also now there is meh - no empathy and borders on being rude. Other then that the practice is wonderful!!!!! Although never the same without my favorite doctor.
