Great staff. I had a hard time finding a dentist when I moved to Atlanta. Several would cancel or be unprofessional. I appreciated the communication from the team at West Cobb Smiles. The cleaning was better than expected and it was communicated clearly on how to move forward with self maintenance. After the visit my teeth honestly felt more clean compared to previous dentists. Would not recommend! They steal from customers. They don't explain very well. They will rip you off and charge you $200+ for just xrays/exam and a talk about your teeth. A total waste of time and money. Other offices will give a you a basic cleaning at least. Not satisfied at all! 1/10 read more

Because it's been a few years since my mom has gone back to that dental office and didn't have any reason to not return. They emailed my mom a $200 off Coupon, She Decided to take advantage of it. She did mention that she did like going there in the past. The staff there was very welcoming and nice and she was due for a deep cleaning anyway so I made an appointment for her. Fast-forward to Last month August she went in for her x-ray/cleaning and they told her that she couldn't use the coupon For that visit, But she can on her future visits. Which was fine because those visits were her treatment plan appointments and is pretty expensive being that she was paying out of pocket, No insurance. After leaving there office, she notice a lot of new faces and didn't recognize anyone from her past visits . And ask me if they're a new team in there now? I told her that I am not sure being that I live out of state and wasn't able to go to her appointments with her. I called and spoke with Alexis to schedule her appointment to start her treatment plan and I asked her should I screenshot the email and text it to my mom so she can show it when she arrives? because she's not Internet savvy. And she said that she would just leave a note, That she wouldn't have to do anything it will automatically be deducted off her total when she makes the payment. Okay Cool! Her appointment was last Thursday. My mother always calls me. 1 because she doesn't speak English that well so I need to be on the line to assist her at times and 2. before she makes any big purchases being that she is an authorized user on my American Express card. And also, So everyone can be on the same page and I wanted to know if they had deducted the $200 off her total. Our budget that day with the $200 added was JUST to pay $953.00. And when it wasn't that I asked to speak to the staff helping her. which was teresa. Her demeanor wasn't very friendly. She said she didn't know what I was talking about. There wasn't a note or anything left saying that. So I explained to her that I spoke with Alexis when I made the appointment for today and told her what she said and thankfully she did honor the coupon that day And told me that the balance will be $953. Cool! Yesterday at noon I called them because my mom told me they said that they "magically" found another cavity in her teeth during that visit last Thursday and they went ahead and took care of it that same day. My mother English isn't that great so I'm sure they also took advantage of that. Is why I always tell her to call me at her appointments to make sure everything is going smoothly. Also she said Teresa demeanor wasn't friendly either and I told her that I heard that over the phone as well. so my mother felt very uncomfortable/intimidated with the staff there and just paid it. After speaking with I believe Alexis because she immediately knew who I was I explained to her why would that cavity that was found later wasn't on her record when she did the X-rays etc... she said sometimes they miss that. I then asked her to send the receipts to my mother's email so I can keep track. which she hasn't, But only sent my mother's future appointment but not the receipt. I'm not sure we want to return to this dental office. I am really big on customer service and professionalism. I will not go back and forth with anyone I will just leave my honest review and hopes things change for the better of there business. read more

Very professional, nice relaxed atmosphere, soulful music playing, they even turned the massager on while I laid there and got my procedure done, the procedure was painless. Let me begin by saying, Dr. Tia, Stephanie and Jeffrey were AMAZING. They were professional, personable, and knowledgeable. As a Provider, I am well aware of first impressions as they relate to a practice. The young lady at the front desk was all but welcoming when I walked in. I am not sure of her name but she is a young, thin, black lady. I overlooked her lack of enthusiasm in answering my questions. She frowned so maybe she was just having a bad day, however; an older gentleman walked in after me and was greeted the way EVERY patient should be,with a smile and pleasantries. This same young lady was tasked with providing instructions at the end of my appointment. Once again, unenthused and bothered. I scheduled an appointment a few days later to have recommended work performed. The day of, I called to clarify my appt. time and was told that my appt. time had changed and that several calls were made to update me of the change. I did not have any calls, missed or otherwise except one message from the office "to discuss my account", which I paid the day of my initial service. I rescheduled the appointment. Prior to heading to the appt.,after leaving work early, I received a message that the appt. would once again, need to be rescheduled. The reason was that there would not be enough time to complete the work. These negative experiences weigh heavily on practices despite how impressive the Provider is. read more

I reached out them and made a last minute appointment just before heading out of town. I reached out to the staff and they were able to fit me into the schedule the same day! Upon my arrival I was greeted and escorted to the back after I processed in. Dr. Thomas took the time to thoroughly explain the treatment process and answered any and all questions that I had. The staff was friendly, professional, and reassuring during the process. My visit today reminded me of why I have been a patient of West Cobb Smiles for the past 5 years! Omg....What a pleasurable experience !! I, like most everyone else Dread ( with a capital D ) going to the dentist...but this place, wow, everyone, yes Everyone, was so friendly, personable, professional, and competent that I felt very comfortable with NO apprehensions. Worst dentist practice ever! One my first visit I was told I had 2 small cavities. About 3 months after I got them filled the office was calling me threatening to send me to collections apparently when the cavities were filled porcelain was used & wasn't covered by my ins so I was STUCK with the bill!!! if the dentist would have told me this I would have opted for the silver fillings instead but my options were NEVER given & I didn't think to ask. Dr.Heros they all are , friendly, talent and obviously manages things so well around there that all the staff stays. I was referred to them by a friend that knew the pain that the last 3 dentist had me go throug. I've been a patient there since 2018; same friendly faces every visit. And most of all no pain. West Cobb Smiles was a great dental office. Over the years, the service became very questionable. Most recently by husband decided to try another dentist due to increasing concerns about his care. We learned he had four improperly fitted crowns and under one was a cavity. The other dentist showed me the X-rays and reported this should have been noticed during routine X-rays. My daughter attends her regular routine appointments and today learned she had several cavities. Due to my concerns, I requested a copy of her X-rays from the last year to compare and was told they were unavailable. At this time, I no longer trust the office with my family's dental care and feel the overall quality of care is nonexistent. read more

This practice has changed ownership. I feel lack of compassion for children, and the office manager leaves much to be desired. As a long time patient of Dr. Mixon, we are most sadden to see the changes taking over her practice. The office manager was rude. I understand that the payment requested up front is an estimation. Upon payment of my recent services I found that we had been over charged. When I called to request my over payment sent to me, I was informed they utilize it for our next visit, nice scam. How many people are they holding $100 of dollars on??? My daughter complained of rough treatment. I have a bite which is not correct, because the doctor left the assistant to finish the job, never checking back. Then after I cancelling our appt., the call me to see if I want to reschedule. After deliberation with the office manager, I was informed they did not hold money and would issue a check for what was owed. The check comes to my house made out to the insurance company. How many insurance companies over pay what is customary and usual?? After calling back, I was informed it was just human error. As soon as they received the check back, they would re-issue. They are striving to improve, what a mouthful. I have called all the people I referred to Dr. Mixon of my current services, and advised they hunt for a new practice. Patient beware. read more
