Unprofessional and uncaring front desk staff, spent more time talking than anything. Dr Plavnik was nice, but the admin made it impossible to do business with them. I never heard back after my initial appointment. I called, they said my insurance wouldn't cover my deep cleaning (spoke with Alondra who was dismissive and rude each time). Then I contacted my insurance, whom said they would cover my deep cleaning, but the dental office failed to send the correct Xrays as proof. Spoke with the manager who never resolved it. I made several follow-ups but no one would call me back nor could I get a straight answer as to why they weren't dealing with the error on their end. I'm convinced the admin has no clue what they are doing, and probably just prefer their customers to pay huge out of pocket fees. Complete waste of time and disregard for customers in pain. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE at beginning i went to this place to make an appointment and they ask me what actually i want, i did tell them, i got here for my appointment they said is $69 for the exam and xray and then they told me i have to pay another $69 for the exam i actually told them i need from the beginning without telling me first, and they said the dont know with who i was speaking the first day and why she didn't tell me that before, unprofessional staff, really bad experience they just want to take your money. read more

Very rude! Last week I was called to confirm my appointment which I called previously to cancelled due to a family matter out of state and it wasn't canceled. One of the staff members moved it to the following Monday after I told her I would call when I came back to rescue. Fast forward, I was called to confirm the mysterious scheduled appointment and this rude lady went back and forth with me being rude and all! I also told her unprofessional self I would not return!!!! I've never ever missed an appointment or if I do Only because of something major I will call prior to that date to reschedule. Caution, The staff was friendly and facilities were nice. That's about as good as I have to say. I went here for the first time a week ago for a cleaning (I had never been here before and I thought I'd try it out). After the cleaning, the doctor looked me over and told me I had 3 cavities. I was a little weirded out about this because I had been taking care of my teeth and I had a check up not terribly long before and the dentist did not seem to be worried about anything. So I got another opinion. The new opinion was that my teeth were just fine. I had them look twice just to be sure they weren't missing something. But nope! My teeth are free and clear. So Dental World's Dr. Plavnik is either incompetent or was willing to charge be over $500 in order to drill into my perfectly fine teeth. At least she gave me a 5% discount for the potential fake fix. Very kind. Either way, be careful when going here. read more

I was a patient at Dental World for a number of years as well as my son. He went to the dentist for a toothache. And I quoted a very high amount, for a procedure that I had performed as well. He called me cause he didn't have enough money. I spoke with receptionist who tells me the amount and the procedures. I explain that I had the same procedure performed and why is it so high. She then explains and also adding laughing gas. Which is optional. Coming from years of working at medical offices I know the process of self pay patients vs insurance. I asked what is the selfpay amount and she said the same they only may give a discount of 5% if you pay cash. So this means you are taking advantage of patients with no insurance. Because NO insurance is paying 100% of the dentist CHARGES!!!! Therefore I will take my business elsewhere!!! read more

When I was a new resident to Georgia, I came here because of a recommendation from a coworker. The staff and dentists are very nice. However, this office has only one hygienist and she is rough. I'm one of the few people in existence that actually enjoy getting teeth cleanings, but I was literally in pain when she cleaned my teeth. So much so that I had to get numbed the second time I got a cleaning. She was a very sweet lady, but her technique leaves much to be desired. I quickly found a new dentist and have not looked back. I would only consider this place if you have a high tolerance for pain. read more

Unfortunately I won't be back- and I went with my mom as her treat to me to get a dental cleaning- we both won't be back. The staff were not mean or anything- no one just knew what was going on or what they were doing. Just chatting. We made appointments for cleanings which apparently only include exams/rays. They said they could try to squeeze us in for a cleaning for our exam appointment after we checked in and confirmed. They said they could try to fit it in after our exams- but we were both confused after that. Normally you make a cleaning appointment, and don't normally have to make appointments to take x-rays before( its always in the same visit) They normally go together not separate appointments and charges. Although the hygienist was nice, it was a drive-thru cleaning. I've never had a cleaning so short. I was normally in my previous dentist and any other for about 45 mins for cleaning. I had a ten minute scrape and fluoride paste put on and then left and did the same to my mom. Both her and I were certain that couldn't be standard procedure? 20 minute cleaning- including the "assessment" of "X-rays." read more

This happened last october, and I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed. They were gnawing at my cheeks, causing pain and swelling. I pushed back getting them removed because I was worried that, 1, I would say something embarrassing during and after the procedure, and 2, that my gag-reflex would act up. Neither of these happened when I was here. Dr. Kapgan told me all four of mine had to be removed and I opted to use the gas and be awake during the procedure. I didn't feel a thing. Both Dr. Kapgan and his assistant made me feel welcomed and at ease during the whole process. No pain, nothing embarrassing was said. He left me with two prescriptions, and he answered all of my questions and concerns after the whole thing. Hell, he even texted me the next day how I was holding up!! Now that is absolutely amazing. Never had a healthcare worker do that. It was very nice of him to do that. I feel better than ever now. My quality of everyday life has improved so much! Can't even feel like they were even there in the first place! If you need to get your wisdom teeth removed, go here. The entire staff will make you feel comfortable and worry-free. (It is VERY important that if you do need them removed, you get them out ASAP. There could be even worse problems that can occur if they stay in your mouth.) Wonderful staff. Wonderful experience. I was veryyyyyy pleased with my visit. I went in with excruciating pain from my wisdom teeth locking my jaw. They were able to get me in, and take care of my needs. They are very affordable. I did not have insurance and was still able afford my visit compare to what other dentist was charging that I called around to. The doctor even called me in the evening to check on my post care. Thank you for your response to my posting and addressing it. With that said, I am the patient and I decide what proceedures I do and don't want to have and what I don't pay for. Those decisions should not warrant you denying me all treatment because I did not want that one. If my dental hygene is your primary concern then denying me a service such as a cleaning does not follow that philosophy. Your business statement clearly reads "We will never push any treatment onto our patients" yet you did. In addition, while I have the right to post what I like about my medical/dental record history, it does not give you the right to which you clearly did by saying what I had done and when it was done. Affordable, skilled, accurate, detailed, friendly, quick. I had their x-ray special for new customers, several extractions and a cleaning. All of it was affordable. They knew what they were doing from start to finish. None of their dental hygienists needed coaching. And they even swabbed my gums to numb them before they did the cleaning. And they cleaned under the gums by-the-way. They discussed my detailed concerns about all of my teeth, and alleviated them. When I told the hygienist to address plaque on the backside of the teeth, they took special care of that also, then offered a mirror as a quality check. Their oral surgeon did his work so fast, it was over almost before I sat down. And he's good on the painkillers, I didn't feel a thing but still had the alertness to drive home.
