Unfortunately, my most recent visit was nothing like my prior experiences. I arrived early for a routine cleaning and, despite an empty waiting room, wasn't seen until 25 minutes past my scheduled time with no explanation. Instead of receiving my cleaning, I was given an X-ray and abruptly told I needed not one, but two root canals--without a clear explanation. I was addressed dismissively ('hey chief') and left feeling pressured and disrespected. After two hours, I walked out without receiving the cleaning I came for and requested my X-rays to get a second opinion. This office used to be a place I trusted, but based on this experience, I can no longer recommend it. If you do go, I would specifically request Dr. Patel, as she was the one dentist here who always provided excellent care.

Unacceptable Experience and Concerns Regarding Hygiene and Billing…read more I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent dental cleaning appointment. My experience was highly concerning due to misrepresentation regarding insurance coverage, questionable billing practices, and, most alarmingly, a severe lack of sterile protocol from the dental assistant. From the outset, I was informed that my routine cleaning would be free as the office was in-network with my insurance carrier. However, when I inquired about potential charges, the staff was evasive and unclear, which immediately raised a red flag. The most concerning aspect of my visit was the dental assistant. She appeared to be new and demonstrated a profound lack of awareness and training. She repeatedly failed to hear or respond to the dentist's instructions, requiring him to repeat himself multiple times. Her hygiene practices were particularly alarming: * She frequently put her gloved fingers in my mouth, then immediately touched the computer screen, and then returned her same gloves to my mouth. * She handled the X-ray gun with these same contaminated gloves, touched the screen again, and then put her fingers back in my mouth. * At one point, she put a pen in her mouth and then proceeded to put her fingers back in my mouth. This blatant disregard for sterile technique significantly increased my anxiety during the appointment. Following this, the dentist informed me that I had tartar and inflammation only on the right side of my mouth and recommended a deep cleaning costing $720. Given the previous issues and my knowledge of my own dental health, this assessment felt disingenuous. I immediately expressed my desire for a second opinion, as I was confident there was no such issue, especially confined to only one side. My insurance plan covers two cleanings per year at no cost. After leaving your office, I promptly scheduled an appointment with another in-network dentist, where I received a proper and thorough cleaning without any issues. However, shortly after my visit to your office, I developed a sore throat, which I strongly suspect was a direct result of the dental assistant's unsanitary practices and cross-contamination. I urge you to address these serious issues immediately, particularly the unhygienic practices of your staff. No patient should be subjected to such a risk of infection. I also recommend a review of your billing transparency and the accuracy of your dental assessments. To the smooth dentist aka Bollywood: don't have your staff lie and say you're in network when you're not. That's fraud. Scamming money from your patients will bring you nothing but bad karma ok Bollywood. So don't do it. Be honest you'll be a better person.

They did some miracles on my teeth today, after 5 days of intense throbbing and grinding pain from one molar I had that got infected. It was one of the few times I was excited to go see Dr. Singh as I knew that he and his staff would take good care of me, and I would have traded my arm and leg to get rid of the pain I went through on my own punching walls in my house to relocate it, even if it was just for a few seconds. Their staff if very professional and friendly, and their office is very large, with plenty of parking space and Hcap access, and you will even have a choice of media entertainment as they work on your teeth. Exceptional, Honest Care at a True Private Practice…read more Finding a genuinely private, non-corporate dental practice in Marietta is tough, but Merchant's Walk Dental is an absolute breath of fresh air with no unnecessary upsells. I recently brought my 91-year-old mother in for a severe dental emergency involving a broken bridge and two broken teeth. They fit us in immediately, treated us like family, and provided a clear, honest treatment plan. The doctors here prioritize patient safety above all else. Dr. John Bishara thoughtfully waited for hematologist clearance before doing any extractions, making the right medical decisions for her overall health and giving us immense peace of mind. Later, Dr. Milli Patel was incredibly meticulous when making the mold for her new bridge. She even brought in IT support to ensure the digital mold was absolutely flawless, specifically so my mom wouldn't have to endure the taxing process a second time. The staff is equally fantastic. Tabitha was an amazing dental assistant, and Karli at the front desk kept us perfectly informed every step of the way, making a stressful situation completely worry-free. The office is spotless, spacious, and the personalized care is unmatched. We are eagerly waiting for my mother's final bridge to arrive and will update this when it does. Highly recommended! I went to a subpar dentist (check yelp review), which lead to major issues with my teeth, ie teeth shifting, infection below gum line, bad fill in work. This begins my story with West Cobb Dentist. I came in to get a deep cleaning, before getting braces, to address issue with shifting teeth. This is when we uncovered the major issues from previous dental work. To be succinct, I needed to get 7 crowns, 2 fillings and a tooth extracted. One requisite, all this work needed to be accomplished in one week, so I would be ready for my ortho appointment. Dr. Houston was thorough in her assessment of what was needed and what we could safely wait on addressing. Dr. Houston with her assistant, Trina, took on the challenge and got it done! My oral health and comfort/pain level was her utmost concern. The 4 days of intense dental work were a breeze, Dr. Houston and Trina made sure of it - whether it was a warm blanket (pretty cold in the office) or extra numbing. Dr. Houston is now my forever dentist.!! I would be remiss, if I didn't mention the front desk staff - Toya (office manager) and Margaret. Very pleasant ladies! Hmm... where to start…read more The woman at the front desk, I believe her name was Rachel, was extremely rude when giving me the quote for a temporary crown. While I was signing the paperwork, she snatched it out of my hands, made a copy, and practically threw the copy back at me. After my root canal, I went to Dr. Smith for a temporary crown and what I was told would be a minor repair to a broken filling. The entire procedure took nearly three hours, and I left in more pain than I had after the root canal itself. My mouth was sore for almost two weeks afterward. When I returned for the permanent crown, I was told the appointment would take 30-45 minutes at most. Instead, I was in the dental chair for two hours. After the crown was placed, my teeth were cemented together to the point that I couldn't floss between them. I'm also pregnant, so while I understood the need for one X-ray, they ended up taking four and still could not remove all of the cement between my teeth. They asked me to return in 2-3 weeks, but at this point I will not be going back. I now have to see another dentist to correct the issue. Additionally, while trying to remove the cement, the dentist flossed so aggressively against my gums and the side of my mouth that it left my mouth extremely irritated and even caused a scar on the outside of my mouth. Overall, this was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had.
