Both projects were completed on schedule, with daily communication regarding any issues that arose. As with any demolition or construction work, unexpected challenges occurred, but the team was proactive in addressing them and transparent about any necessary adjustments to the original estimate. When finalizing the bathroom remodels and the ADU, Jeff demonstrated exceptional attention to detail--often exceeding my own standards. If something did not meet his expectations, he ensured his crew returned to make it right. I have complete trust in Jeff and his team and would not hesitate to recommend or hire them again.

Jeff, Jon and their team were highly communicative, professional and show great workmanship. Highly recommend this company if you want quality work that will last a lifetime and experienced contractors that can get the job done at an affordable price with great lead times. Thank you, Riccon Construction!

I watch the HGTV shows and think wow you can do all that for that cost--that's reality tv. We met with Steve and his team and talked about must do's and dreams and then he sat down and talked about what costs can not be varied (such as electrician or plumbers--that's just the cost) but there are costs that varies (tile, fixtures etc) and we would discuss what is important to us. For example, some people want certain brand sinks or tubs or you may want a certain look but there is a variety of tile to choose from. I will say Steve and his team want to give a finished product you are happy with but he won over my trust when I saw how respectful he was to stay within budget and discuss options with the dollar in mind. * Did you project stay within promised timeline? Yes, we had a detailed timeline online so we knew every week what was being worked on and he finished the project on time. * What were your challenges with the project? The biggest challenge is just having people in your home every day. Everyone who worked on our project was respectful to my space and cleaned up every day but its just hard having people in my home but the guys were great and very nice. * Are you happy with the outcome now that you are a few months out? Oh my YES!! We did work on our previous home but the schock team made this home so beautiful--the design team was so worth it. I would recommend them over and over!! * Were there any issues? Did the company respond to fix in a timely manner? I will say Steve is so detailed oriented and his team is so on it that when something came up they were already on it or if I let them know they immediately took action to say oh that isn't right don't worry we are on it...because we were living in the construction zone if I said oh the smell is not good tonight they would say we will be right over with fans...after the project was done I broke one of my bathroom lights. I called them and said can I get the company and light fixture to reorder. They said don't worry we will take care of that for you. I broke the light and I planned to just take care of it but they helped me with that...just small things like that made me so happy with their customer service. * What made you hire Schock Construction? We interviewed 3 contractors who came to us from friends recommendation so we knew all three would have personal recommendations. After we interviewed all three we felt schock was the right fit for us. One contractor addressed all the discussion to my husband who works in construction and I felt disregarded and I would be the main communicator so I didn't like that, another contractor said you can work with this designer and order everything and then we get started, it felt like it wasn't a well oiled machine and then the schock team came in--steve was talking details, Lisa was making notes, Britney/Ashley talking design it was a well working team and my husband and I thought--yes we want to work with a great team that communicates well with us.

Tidings We live in a 60+ year old home in Renton…read more Our concrete driveway may or may not of been original. Regardless, it was in very sorry condition. Several large cracks and many high / low points. In 2007 we had parts of it slab-jacked which leveled it ( sort of) for a few years ( as a foot note, not mentioned in the advertising of slab jacking is that when we have extended freezing temperatures, the slab jack product expands, raising the concrete about an inch or so which made for a pronounced lip at the entrance to our garage. This, however, did return to level once the ground warmed up again. ......... That's just an FYI ) Paul, of Lakeside Construction and Paving, stopped by our house one evening as I was in the yard. He mentioned his business and that he was currently working a driveway project at a house a couple of streets over from ours. ( I did wander over to look at the work on the driveway and was very impressed) Paul and I discussed the condition of our concrete driveway. We talked of redoing the driveway in asphalt. He quoted me a price and applied no sales pressure. I checked with two other paving companies. All three were close . I chose Lakeside over the other two for a few reasons: They have a 10 year materials and labor warranty. They quoted me a reasonable price for having the asphalt sealed. ( this is a separate step performed several months after paving) And, Paul has an honest quality about him, I felt I could trust his words. Also worth mentioning is they don't accept payment until AFTER the job is completed and the customer is satisfied. No pre-work deposit. We had the job scheduled and it was performed a week or so later. I did have a couple of concerns afterwards about some drainage issues which I brought up with Paul. He was very responsive in his reply and came to the house to review them with me. Regardless of his own costs, he honored his warranty and re-did the work to my satisfaction, receiving my approval. Lakeside stands by their warranty ! Paul had a very conscientious and courteous team working for him. You could tell that they had worked together for quite some time, it was almost as if their movements were choreographed. We were very pleased with the finished product and plan to reach out to Lakeside again next spring when it is time to seal the driveway. If you are looking to have your driveway redone, I recommend reaching out to Lakeside Construction and Paving. Thank you for your time in reading our adventure in asphalting. Grant

LEAKS, UNPROFESSIONALISM, UNSAFE WORK, AND SHADY DENIAL OF RESPONSIBILITY. SAVE YOUR FAMILY FROM…read moreTHEM! They caused a big leak in my bedroom during my roof replacement, completely denied it, and refused to take ownership of their mistakes. They even had the audacity to call it an "old yellow stain." I had to hire a lawyer and fight back with evidence. Save yourself and your family the headache and avoid them at all costs. They sent only two guys to start the work and they ripped off all my shingles one day before a major storm. Then they left my roof with no shingles during rain and storm conditions for two days. That caused a big leak in my bedroom and significant damage to my family. When I called them, they came out and spent 4+ hours on my roof, then told me: "We don't know what it is, but there is no leak." Thankfully, I had a moisture meter, before/after pictures, and enough evidence to prove what happened. Even then, they still tried to deny it and said, "Based on our industry experience, such yellowing is consistent with an older leak. It is possible the stain pre-dated our work." On top of the leak, they didn't secure the shingles on my roof during the storm. A bunch of shingle packages (roughly 40+ pounds each) fell from the roof onto my deck and shed. That could have seriously injured or even killed someone if that hit them! it anyways caused significant damage to my shed and deck! I wish that was the end of the story, but it wasn't. They also somehow managed to mess up the electrical wiring in my attic. And again, they denied responsibility, even though they agreed to pay for the repairs. They are extremely shady, deny their mistakes, and provide very unsafe work. save your money and your family from all their headaches and damages!
