    Tuna sashimi

Holy cow! This place rocks! 10/10 Kind and helpful staff, beautiful pieces of fresh fish. Made sushi with my fiancée and took home a 1/2 lb of Salmon, Tuna and Yellow Tail. We felt spoiled rotten it was so damn good. I believe the person who helped us out was Ramsey. He was awesome and helped us get exactly what we needed for a special dinner in. Will be back again and again.

Sashimi grade, wild caught salmon and scallops! So fresh!

I know I'm over the moon because where I live doesn't have fish of this quality, combined with the fact they've been in business since the year I was born (that tidbit sent a wave of glee down my spine!), tells me they that have maintained a level of unparalleled quality for all this time. The brick and mortar store is only open Thursday-Sunday, but they hit up several farmer's markets, from Ventura to Long Beach. I was hoping they do the Wilson Park Saturday market as I'm often in Torrance on weekends, but they did mention they're at Redondo Beach. I'll Google to see when that one is. Anyway, we knew we wanted to eat everything raw so we asked what they had that day that was sashimi-grade. We got scallops and salmon, everything being wild caught. Both were buttery, melt-in-my-mouth delicious and worth every penny. Easily the best scallops I've ever had. For the worst, check out my Coasterra review. :) I saw a lady put in an order for fish; the daughter of the owner calling around to family members at the farmers markets to ensure they could hold the fish for the customer. I loved learning that it's a family-run business! The shop itself was much tinier than expected. But, if you don't see something, you can ask about it because they might have it in the freezer. And everything, I mean everything was spotlessly clean. That amazed me because I used to work at a 99 Ranch and I remember there being blood on the cutting boards and I'd even come home with fish-stained clothes. In a sea of box-chain and over-priced speciality grocers in the area, this fish shop is a true gem. I'm all for supporting small businesses and I look forward to supporting them in the future. Pros: - friendly - quality and freshness - lots of parking - Cons: - limited days open - not in Oceanside :)

I've had a lot of food and a lot of fish in my life.. but the fish from West Coast Seafood is the best fish I've ever had! Marilyn is such a nice person and every one working there is so kind and has a great energy about them! But the fish is beyond amazing and I recommended it to every one! Thank you West Coast Seafood

We love, love, love this place! We go every weekend for fresh, excellent quality fish and it they have a great variety. They get everything whole and filet in house. Also will try to get any special requests you have. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!! (Picture shows variety of what rotates through their store!)

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Pete. His energy and light will forever be missed.
