Great service and support when we needed it. Good text messaging so we knew when to be home for pickup and delivery.

I had a house cleanup and needed a large rental dumpster. I was lucky to find this service and call in and booked a 40yd. I spoke with the owner, who was incredibly professional, patient, and helpful with everything I needed. The transaction was very smooth, and communication was always open. They ensured everything arrived on time and checked in to make sure all my needs were met. Our area was difficult to drop the large dumpster but driver did a job. Overall, it was a great, reliable service. I highly recommend it to everyone--you won't regret it! read more

We rented a 30yard dumpster and the whole experience was great. The drivers delivering and picking up the dumpster were highly skilled as I was amazed that how they handled the dumpsters in front a narrow street. The pricing was competitive and transparent, including the over-weight. The dumpster was delivered and picked up based on our schedule, which was very appreciated! read more

I would rarely write reviews but I have to say this company is just amazing. I just rented a concrete dumpster for a construction project and I was impressed with the service from start to finish. The company was very responsive to my needs and provided a seamless ordering process. The concrete dumpster was delivered on time, was in great condition, and made it so much easier for us to dispose of the concrete waste from the project. The pickup was prompt and efficient, and the driver was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this company for concrete or other type of materials dumpster and I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

First time renting a dumpster and this company didn't disappoint me. The service is above and beyond. They even gave me extra days to keep the dumpster. Emily is very transparent in price and what's the maximum limit for each dumpster. I'm thinking of calling them again for my next DIY project. read more

I'm not sure how I found this company but I am sure glad I hired them to provide dumpsters for my landscape remodeling project. Their service hours are amazingly long and Emily quickly responded to my service request. I made the request late Saturday afternoon and was able to get a dumpster on Monday morning. When that dumpster filled up in 1 day, they were able to get another one to me the following morning. I can't imagine a more responsive company! They made my clean up job so much easier than I anticipated. read more

Needed a dumpster in short notice because my roofer had last minute cancellation so was able to replace my roof 2 weeks ahead of original scheduled time. Called West Coast Recycle, told them I needed a dumpster, gave them the size of my roof, and they suggested the size that was within the range of what my roofer had told me to get. Delivery was made on time and after the roof was done, they picked up the dumpster with all the trash from my roof. Easy peasy and no sweat off my back! read more

Love the customer service! This company is very reliable and always helps us with our needs!

I have used West Coast Recycle for several home projects and backyard cleanings. In the dumpster box industry there's not much that differentiates one company from another. Boxes are boxes, pricing is basically the same from company to company. Where West Coast Recycle stands out is customer service. Delivery and pickup is always prompt and the drivers are very accommodating on where I like the boxes placed. I've had the pleasure of getting to know the owner Evelyn over the years and she is amazing. I know if I were ever to have any issues she would take care of them for me. Highly recommend read more

first of all, i don't have beef w/ the manager she communicates well and I've done business a couple of times. I do rehab constructions with need for repeated business. last project I had entirely different experience. it's the business practice and lack of transparency ppl should be aware of. the request for job i submitted asked for exact pick-up date. I filled in w/ expectation they'll just pick it up or ask. never came so I texted and they picked it up a couple of weeks AFTER I asked...... Then got billed for daily late fees since I requested the pick up 10 days after the 7-day rental period. They blame me for not asking to pick up b4 end of 7 days. no warnings, no transparency, they were never going to meet 7-day pickup schedule anyways. on top of that over weight charges + "late fees" 2x my cost. I get it it's in the contract. But you will likely not be paying for the quoted price for your typical projects if lucky they don't find other things to 2x ur cost. business practice is questionable and I'm documenting w/ BBB as well. read more

West Coast Recycle - Trash from around home - Dumpster Rental Near Me - Hayward, California

Don't use them to haul dirt. Driver can't and wouldn't park the dumpster straight in driveway, ask him him to park it again, and gave me attitude. Block both my parking space. When finish, call them to pick it up. Takes them 6 days to come and pick it up. Driver took 45 min just to load the dumpster on the truck and dump my tarp and rope on the ground like it's garbage. read more

West Coast is always spot on for me as a small landscape contrator. I've used them on multiple occasions, in different cities, and I've never had an issue to date. Concrete, soil, general construction debris...they have you covered. Their prices are competitive and they will work with you to accommodate your specific job needs. The usual time from drop off to pick up is a standard 7 day rental period but if you need a pick up sooner, they will find time in their busy route to come and haul it away!... West Coast Recycle - Dumpster Rental Near Me - Hayward, California

We were looking to declutter our garage and storage area but we live in a tri-level townhouse and had no driveway or sidewalk where we could have a debris box or dumpster dropped off other than in the garage itself. All other debris box services could not accommodate us but West Coast Recycle came to the rescue! Emily contacted me and from Day 1 she was as kind and as courteous as can be. Even their drivers were super friendly and patient when picking up and dropoff the dumpster. It wasn't easy fitting the box into our garage with such little space for the big truck to work with but they managed! These guys are expert truck drivers! So if anyone is considering renting a debris box and you have space constraints, don't hesitate to call Emily! They will take care of you with top notch customer service and punctuality! They not only serve the east bay, but the south bay as well! read more

I would give ZERO STARS if I could! They will quote you the lowest price when you are comparing debris boxes. Do not fall into the trap of booking the "least expensive" debris box in the Bay Area. They are not. I booked with them and they delivered the box. I paid cash on arrival. I asked when the pick up date would be. They gave me a specific date. They never arrived. When they did arrive I had to help the driver myself cover the debris box. They are useless. A couple days after the box was picked up I was emailed a receipt. They had charged a card I had on file with them from a previous job! It was my clients card! No one authorized them to use this card. They keep cards on file. When I called to discuss this she insisted that debris box was over the weight limit. It was not. It was barely full. She charged me an additional $353.13 in addition to the $755.00 that was paid in cash. They forged my signature on the "contract" once I stated I did not sign a contract. They also charged my previous clients card without permission. I had to dispute the additional charge with my bank. It was a mess! Save yourself the headache. They are a nightmare to work with! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! Read all the reviews. I will also be reporting to the Better Business Bureau as well. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Received the 25 yard debris box on a Saturday just as planned for 5 days. We were told if we finished early, to just call and they'd come and get it. We finished early and called on Monday to have it picked up and was told they would get it in 1 to 3 days. Wednesday rolls around...still here. Called again and they said they would pick it up on Saturday. I said no because I had more materials arriving and needed the space so she says they'll come get it by EOD Thursday or Friday morning. They came Friday and said it was too heavy. They said it could only weigh 3 tons max... what were we supposed to put in there?!!? Styrofoam peanuts!!!??? They NEVER said there was a weight limit. I said we were using it to get rid of dirt...why not mention it then? Now they want us to rent another 10 yard box for $700 (on top of the $975). Beware! read more

West Coast Recycle - Fast service and good Quality - Dumpster Rental Near Me - Hayward, California

I read all the great reviews and how helpful the person was who works for the company....so, I needed HELP, I am no expert at renting a friggin dumpster and I e-mailed to get help in picking a dumpster and getting some questions answered about said dumpster. I send a comprehensive e-mail, explaining my situation, asking specific questions about the dumpster and 2 days later got a response to the effect of "how can I help you"....Uhhhhhh read my e-mail perhaps? So, I laid it out again and another big delay of maybe a day and then a response giving me the size of the dumpsters, but still not answering my specific question of "does the dumpster have a top or a way to close it off so others cannot dump stuff in it". I again responded with just the question of "does it lock" to which I received a "no it doesn't." Allrighty then, I guess we're done here.... read more

Simon, the person who picked up my filled 10-yard and delivered a new one this afternoon, did an excellent job. He called in advance to verify his arrival and to make sure the time would work for me. He also coordinated with the truck that picked up my filled dumpster before depositing the new empty one. Navigating that huge box into my long narrow driveway off of a busy street was very challenging, but he managed it thoughtfully and carefully and did an impressive job getting the box all the way behind my gate. Finally, all his communications with me were clear and kind, which I really appreciated. The person who answered the phone to schedule the switch was also very helpful and did a good job of setting expectations for the job with me. Most of the people I have dealt with have been great. This will be my go-to place if I need a dumpster in the future. Kudos. Thank you. read more

I needed to dump 6 cubic yards of dirt mixed with small rocks. I called West Coast Recycle several times asking for quotes, but I keep telling them I needed to "check with my wife". They were very patient with me. Make sure you tell them what you are dumping because prices vary for different types of trash. Otherwise you will be charged an "extra fee". I was charged a $10 fee, probably for dumping other trash on top of the dirt I was dumping. They didn't tell me about this fee so minus one star. Anyway, the initial quote I got was $465 (I think?) for a debris box, but I didn't tell them what I was dumping. The final quote I got after telling them I was dumping dirt was $765. That seemed pretty pricey so I did some research into dumping it myself. Renting a truck would run around $100 for 5 hours. One cubic yard of dirt weighs around 1 ton. Dumping 1 ton of dirt costs around $100. The total to dump it myself would run around $700! I would also need to make several trips to the smelly dumpsite and fill the truck up with gas. Renting the $765 debris made more sense since West Coast Recycle will drop off and pick up the box at your job site. So I called them Saturday morning to order the box and they were able to deliver the box that day! However, they had to take my job site address and credit card info via text message. That worried me a little, but I trusted West Coast Recycle and hope they will keep my info secure. I gave them a credit card I don't use much and will regularly check my transactions. The last time I hauled trash to a dumpsite myself, my credit card was used to make unauthorized purchases. Overall, I am happy with my experience with West Coast Recycle. Their quick service helped me get my project done in one weekend! read more
