On October 1st, 2025, Dr. Khaki at Division Street Dental replaced a filling in a tooth where an…read moreolder filling had fallen out. The tooth was not painful at that time but I wanted to address it before it became a bigger issue. After the procedure, the tooth became painful to chew on.  I chose this office because I believed a holistic and "conservative" approach would emphasize precision and preservation of tooth structure. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. What started as a small hole turned into a very large and deep filling that now covers a substantial portion of my tooth and is painful to chew on.  I waited about 10 months before writing this review because I wanted to give the tooth time to recover and during this time I sought second opinions from other dental professionals. An endodontist told me that a root canal is not currently necessary, but they advised being cautious with additional work, such as a crown, because further treatment could potentially "push the tooth over the edge." At this point, my tooth is still sensitive to chew on, and my understanding is that treatment options are limited, expensive and extensive.  I also found it concerning that immediately after the procedure with Dr. Khaki she told me I needed a "deep cleaning" because my gums were bleeding significantly. When I got home, I noticed a fairly large cut in my gums near the area where the work had been done. I did not get the deep cleaning done, instead I went to a different dental professional who told me my oral hygiene was very good and that I only needed a routine cleaning. I understand dental outcomes can vary, but based on my personal experience, I regret having this filling done at Division Street Dental.

I finally got my crown replaced (at another dentist office) so I thought I would finally write about my experience, especially since my new dentist has made this such a pleasant experience. I was looking for a new dentist that took my insurance and came across this place. From my first visit to last visit every appt was unenjoyable. From the sketchy stairs, pee smelled elevator, office gossip, I do NOT recommend going here. Also the fact that they say they're a "Holistic" dentist but they're not. The receptionist started by giving me another patients info (total HIPAA violation). The dental assistant Mary was discussing workplace annoyances to me. My first appt was getting my temporary crown placed. While in the parking lot leaving, my temp crown fell out and was loose in my mouth. I was so shocked, not once was it mentioned that was a possibility, not to mention the possible choking hazard. I went back in to let them know and they treated it so nonchalant. I came back 2 weeks later to have my permanent crown seated. The crown was done so poorly. The shape should have 4 mounds, and was almost completely smooth. The height was also taller than my other teeth which messed up my bite. I mentioned that I didn't like the shape and it felt uncomfortable, so Dr Flath tried fixing the shape, which he then made worse, and shortened the side close to my gums. Then told me there was nothing he could do because the crown was too short now. I struggle going to the dentist so I found it hard to speak up and demand they replace the crown, especially because they kept dismissing me and saying "I had to deal with it". I went to my new dentist and they had said what an awful job was done. So I called Bravo Smile and told them I got a second opinion, that my dentist said the crown was cracking, causing inflammation, and had a void. Which shouldn't be happening in a year. Bravo Smile was not helpful in the slightest. I mostly spoke with Mary and she threatened me and hung up on me. So I was not able to get a refund and had to pay to get a new crown done in under 3 years. Anyway if you stayed to read my story, thank you, just wanted to give a warning of this place. Definitely do not recommend.

I had no one to drive me and was concerned about driving home after my root canal (my second ever). How would I feel? Not only was Dr. Baumgarth very professional and warm but his staff was the same. He treated them with respect and you got the feeling that although they did a lot of root canals, they enjoyed working there. The procedure took less than an hour. I felt no pain and afterwards, I took only two doses of acetominophen for pain. Amazing!! I didn't feel kicked in the face. It was relatively wonderful. The drive afterwards was just fine, too. No grogginess, I felt confident driving home. *The only thing that I would have liked is to have had some headphones to listen to while they were working away. Other than that, I highly recommend and would definitely see these folks again with no hesitation!!

She told me I always mention that on the phone when you make your appointment you must've missed it. I work in HR. I am a very organized person. I made the appointment in my office and had a pen and paper in hand to record all details. Payment was not mentioned during that phone call. I am aware I should've asked when I booked my appointment but my previous office said everyone has care credit and I shouldn't have any problems. She said in a nasty tone that she would need more my ss#, I said no problem I'm ready when you are. She would wait to ask me questions when I was walking away to grab my ID or a tissue. I eventually asked her do you need more information from me or are we good, so that I can talk to her face to face. The whole energy in the office was so off. It felt like an angry older sister that was screwing with me. Saying very polite sentences in a passive aggressive tone. It's really all confusing and unprofessional. I am very scared of needles and was on the verge of tears the whole time I was in the office. I was polite. I don't understand why a person would treat someone so cruel. I will die of a tooth infection before I would ever go back. I can't trust the doctor if the receptionist is going to treat me so poorly. I'm reconsidering my main dentist office now because they referred me here. Such a horrible experience. My fiancé called the office afterwards to talk with the practice manager and it was the same receptionist who answered. She hung up on him twice just for asking that question. Now she won't answer the phone. My fiancé was not rude or hostile with her at all, but she continued to hang up on him. I have never had a medical office knowingly hang up on someone, multiple times, and then refuse to answer when they are just asking to speak with someone. This is the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed from a medical office! Truly an insane experience. There are plenty of endodontist's around. Look into other offices and don't blindly take a referral like I did.

I was attempting to wait it out and avoid dealing with it until I had dental insurance again, but I could feel the problem worsening to the point it became too hard to ignore, so I decided to bite the bullet and find a surgeon despite my lack of insurance . After initially scheduling an appointment at the dental school in an attempt to save my pocketbook, then getting nervous due to some alarming reviews and cancelling that appointment.. I decided that it would be worth it in the end to throw it on the credit card and do some research and choose my own surgeon for the job. Yelp did not lead me astray. I was impressed by Dr. G's education, experience, as well as her generous aid work with underserved populations. At my initial consultation with Dr. Geisler, my anxieties were almost immediately put to rest. She exudes positive energy and It doesn't take long to see that she is a healer who is in the profession for benevolent reasons. I appreciate how conversational and respectful her approach is. She doesn't just examine you to then tell you what will be done with you. She will ask questions to make sure she has the full picture of your history, situation, and concerns in order to tailor a plan that works best for your unique situation. She did not blindly write a script for the medications she thought I should have.. but took the time to talk to me about each one in order to make sure that I understood the benefits and risks of each of the options. She asked for my input and consent for each and ensured that I felt that I was in the driver's seat of my care, which is something that I believe really should be more common in health care. All fees are informed ahead of time so there are no surprises when the bill is presented. I left her office following the consultation with complete trust that I would be in good hands. The morning of my surgery went smoothly. The staff were all prompt and kind and made me feel like a VIP. I elected to stay awake during the procedure. The sounds of the saw were the most unnerving part, but I felt no pain during the procedure and Dr. Geisler explained what was happening the entire time. I requested to keep my tooth and my request was honored. She checked in frequently to make sure I was tolerating everything alright. The covid precautions in place are better than standard with proper PPE seen donned by staff at all times, sanitizing taking place, and a special air filtering device in the procedure area. Following the procedure, I was given a goodie bag with some healing aids and briefed throughly on what I should do for after-care. I received a call from Dr. G the same evening to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. I was somewhat concerned that the small amount (comparatively to what has been prescribed following surgical procedures in the past) of prescription pain medication might not be enough to to last as long as I needed it to for adequate pain relief. However, with the opioid epidemic, I understand why practitioners are being conservative in dosages and encouraging patients to use the lowest dose for the least amount of time possible. Overall I am healing well. The surgical site looks great and I feel great relief to have a problem that has been plaguing me for a decade finally taken care of. I would definitely choose Dr. Geisler again should I need the care of an oral surgeon again and will be recommending her practice to friends, family, and I'm sure a few strangers too. Solid work, Dr. Geisler and staff. Thankyou again.
