Incredibly helpful! We dropped in right at close, they didn't rush us at all. My son has been struggling with getting going on his bike. He had to take a few years off due to epilepsy--so he's been playing catchup and his current bike was a little heavy/small. They had an amazing selection of pre-owned kids bikes reasonably priced! The staff helped him adjust the seat and rooted him on to try it out in the back. He fell in love with the bike and finally has a 'bug' for riding again. Thanks for the help! I have been a customer at West Bikes for nearly 3 decades and have consistently experienced outstanding service. Most recently I brought in a 25-year-old bike badly in need of repairs. The bike has unique features including a side car which make any repairs out-of-the ordinary and complicated. Although very old, the bike has great sentimental value. Fares really put his heart in to the project and did an amazing job of restoring the bike and side car. As usual, the quality of the work was outstanding. The owner of this store went above and beyond answering our questions about electric bicycles. He offered to go for a test ride with us. We were in too much of a time crunch for a ride, but planned on it the next day. Unfortunately, I had an accident and could not make that appointment. When I heal, we have every intention of purchasing our bikes here. We have researched every way possible and feel most confident with our decision. Came here for the first time ever, asked if they had a product and the guy working started looking something up then continued to help multiple costumers before another worker asked if we had been helped. He told us instantly that they didn't even have the product. Not happy with this service. read more

Bought a new bike at West Bikes after being persuaded to buy a Giant when I was looking for a Fuji. Really like the Giant so my regards to the owner for making the suggestion. Had a used ladies Giant and used ladies Schwinn serviced at the same time. The following feedback was given to the owner and has not been acknowledged to date. "We went on our first family ride today, the Schwinn's maiden voyage since the safety check (and shifters and tires replaced) at your shop. After I split off to ride to the end, the girls turned around to head back to the start. My wife's (Schwinn) rear wheel came off and the bike locked up and stopped almost throwing her off. Luckily she was not injured and found some helpful cyclists to reattach the wheel and tighten the nuts. She then found a screw had fallen off the sprocket in the same area..." read more

I went on a trip and forgot my helmet so I googled shops on my route. The people were super friendly so I got tune UPS on my bikes while they were there. Prices on par for other bike shops. Friendly and knowledgeable service. You don't get that at big box stores or online. read more

I cannot write a more amazing review for West Bicycles. I was moving out of town and called three days before leaving to see if they could fix my bike- which needed serious repairs. I asked them to replace the seat and give the bike a tune-up. They called to say that my bicycle was ready in TWO days, included new grips on the handlebars for free and gave me a 30% discount as a 'wecome home present.' I purchased a new Cannondale Synapse carbon disc Ultegra DI2 a few months ago from West bikes. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. I had done a significant amount of on line research and decided I wanted to upgrade from an older road bike, and also from a hybrid bike. Fares was very helpful in showing the DI2 vs mechanical derailleur which it did not take me long to decide that the electronic shifters were the way to go. The staff spent a VERY long time with me, letting me ride a demo around the neighborhood (not just around the parking lot). The were also immediately helpful when I decided that I wanted to change the rear cassette from the standard 11-30 to an 11-34 bigger low gear for the hills around here. They had the new rear derailleur within 2 days. Then John and Evan spent 2 1/2 hours with me doing a complete bike fitting. They were very attentive to my needs, and put up with my lack of expertise. I am 65 years old, so I have a few issues that the younger road bikers may not have (yet). They ordered me a new pair of shoes which fit perfectly on the first try. They also gave me a trade in on my hybrid. Over the past few months I have returned to the shop for various adjustments to the set up and for several other adjustments on the bike, and again, Fares, John and Evan were all very attentive, helpful, friendly, and put up with my idiosyncrasies. They have even been helpful when I couldn't get the software straight on the Garmin and Strava link-up. They have also been helpful with suggestions about various routes. I cannot say enough good things about these folks. I unfortunately have not had time yet to go on any of their group rides, but I am encouraged that they have some for us not-so-fast riders. And also BTW the bike is awesome. I have only put about 850 miles on it so far, but enough to know that the bike is capable of handling a lot more than I can dish out, and in my humble opinion is the ultimate endurance bike. My husband bought his bike first from West Bicycles. They were helpful, took the time to explain all the different bikes and which one would be best for him. A couple of days later after deciding that I needed a bike, we drove all around to different stores checking out their bikes. Finally ending up back at West Bikes purchasing me a bike. They made sure it fit me properly, and let me test drive the bike I got. I would purchase another bike from them. It seems to be the place to go! read more

I recently had my children's bikes tuned up as one of their Christmas presents. I should have known something was up when they rolled their eyes at two Walmart bikes. I specifically pointed out things I wanted done to each bike. The linkage on my sons brakes needed adjusting and both tires on both bikes. I then naively said to fix anything that may pop up that I didn't catch. I was in a hurry when I picked the bikes up and everything looked ok until I got home. My sons back tire was still flat and his brakes hadn't been touched. My daughters bike had brake pads changed that didn't need changed, which pushed their estimate almost $30 over their estimate, and today her back tire almost came off. The nuts holding her tire on were only hand tight. Now her chain won't stay on for some reason. Both bikes are in worse shape than when I took them. My child could have had an accident and gotten hurt. Finally, they blew past the estimate by almost $30. 2 disappointed kids on Christmas to boot. Beware! read more

As soon as I walked in I felt out of place. I mean are u a bike shop or what? I brought in a little kids John deer tractor bike for my nephew for repair and they looked at me like I was an alien. I know you mainly deal with high end bikes but I had no idea how to put on a bike chain. It took them all of 10 min and they charged me $21 ( maybe I need to go into the bike repair business) I thought that was a rip off! One of the employees really just seemed annoyed that he even had to fool with it, very snobby! The only reason I didn't give them a one star was because two of the guys were nice. You guys really need to work on customer service! I will never go back to this place. I have never written a review but was so annoyed with this place that I had to. read more
