It was one of those mornings. My family and I were driving to the airport from Madison, and it was snowing. We made it within 10 miles of the airport before losing control of our car and wrecking I-894. Lots of damage with a banged up fender, radiator, and deployed airbags. We made our flight on time with help from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, but while vacationing in warmer climates I was stuck with the task of managing the repair of our car with a phone and a laptop.
Not being familiar with the long list of auto body shops in the greater Milwaukee area, I had to base my decision solely on reviews I read online. I could have gone the safe route, choosing a large auto dealer's repair shop, but even those can be shady and I wanted to go with a smaller shop anyway. I found a couple of positive reviews that didn't seem fake elsewhere, so I made the choice to have my car taken here.
I'm glad I did. As it turns out, Glen and his small crew are very dedicated and thorough in their repair process. I'll admit it was not as speedy as I would have liked, since it took nearly a month for the repairs to be complete. But there was several thousand dollars in damage, difficulty with a parts supplier, and I understand these things can take time especially if done right.
The staff was very honest and the communication was great throughout the entire process. Our car is as good as new and I definitely would recommend West Allis Auto Body. read more
