There are no other adults on the bus beside the driver. What made me upset with scope, is that when the other child's parent came to pick them up, a scope employee made my child apologize to the other child's PARENT. The other child was not asked to apologize to mine. I am livid and asked to speak to a supervisor, but have not heard back.

My four-year-old son at the time was left and forgotten in the bathroom while the rest of the class went out to recess. There are doors in each classroom that lead to the parking lot which my son could have easily walked out of when he found himself alone, and got hit by a car. Thankfully, this did not happen. The teachers only realized my child was not at recess when the other kids in the class were asking where he was. I was not at any point made aware of this by the teachers, I learned about it from other parents who's children told them about it and after questioning my child and his twin sister. I called a meeting with both teachers the next morning asking them about the situation. They both lied to my face and told me that someone was in the class with my son. One of them (the one filling in for the teacher on leave) finally came forward to the administration and confessed that she lied and resigned. The other teacher did not and continued teaching without accountability and is probably still there today. I regret not making a bigger deal about this at the time. For this reason alone I do not recommend this organization. In addition, I don't feel like my children were as prepared for Kindergarten as my older two that went to a different pre-K.

Review THE OWNERS…read moreHAVE A SCHOOL AGED CHILD WHO THEY DON'T EVEN SEND THERE!!! THEY FEEL THE SCHOOL IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR KIDS BUT NOT THEIR OWN! I never write negative reviews but this is too important to ignore. When my children attended IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL there was a high rate of teachers openly showing disdain to students. There is no nurse at this school. The office staff haphazardly does the work of a nurse but are not medically trained. Worst teachers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Most are not certified or have masters. They are unhappy people who bring it to work with them and make a point to transfer that misery to the kids.Avoid this school. You will regret it.My children were very unhappy there. The ineptitude stretches from the teachers to the office staff. The owners have no background in education. Our children no longer attend this place and are better for it. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!

The owners have good intentions but the faculty and staff are racist to the core. My daughter was a student from age 2 to 12 years old. She is now in therapy trying the heal the years of damage from the teachers and parents. It breaks my heart to hear the stories of how bad she was treated. I feel so bad for compromising my daughters mental health for what I thought was a good education. Not a good school for Black & Brown kids. I will be happy to discuss my daughters story as her story is now part of her healing.

New to the area I decided to walk the small strip of Smithtown and see what was around for me to do…read morewith my two little guys. (Summer 2016) Conveniently, while walking I stumbled upon the window of this Spanish school, the owner had been inside as she was setting the school up. (She was new to the strip of Smithtown) I requested a card and some information. I took a chance by signing my Oldest son up (3 years old)- he is extremely shy, and does not take to many places very easily. I expected him to resist the school (especially because he is shy - young and learning social cues- now throwing in a a second language/ culture) My son took very well. The teacher (also the owner) is more than just a teacher, she truly loves these kids. I am the creep that walked by the school at all random times to check in on my son. I feel safe leaving my son with her. In addition my son comes home with all sorts of information on culture and language. She makes learning less of a chore and more of a game. My oldest son loves it so much that now I send my youngest son (just turned two) and he is thrilled. I can't say enough good things about this school, the teacher & the environment. Parking can stink at times because it's in town, but it's close enough to a corner making parking lots a lot more available for a short little walk. The price is well worth the experience for these children& the owner is more than willing to help you work within your budget- although this is her job you can tell that this is also her dream and passion. She isn't in it for the money.-- and that's a hard thing to find

UPK is now 5 days a week 5 hours a day and the kids are expected to learn how to read and write to some extent along with a lot of other requirements. So this program is the right balance of play to let kids be kids while preparing them for the social adjustment. It is a very reasonable priced and very caring school. My daughter is now going there, and my son being very young for the class was quite difficult to handle. However, the school took care of him and never complained. His teachers still see me around and ask how he is doing. Mrs Johansson (the head of the preschool) is great as well and knows every single child and parent in the school by name. You feel like you are a family with them. Make sure to sign your kids ASAP in January/February because their classes fill up quick.

My daughter absolutely loves going to school, she has learned so much and I've seen so many positive changes in her since we've joined. I love how special they make each day and how thoughtful they are about curriculum and community, it's extremely refreshing and heartwarming. The online payment portal is great and everyone is always so accessible by phone and email, I feel safe and confident sending my daughter each day and I know she is being well taken care of and quite frankly, loved and accepted with open arms. This school is truly a special place and I feel grateful to have found it!

I was told by several people in the community that it was a great place for children with developmental disabilities. I definitely made the right choice! He was lucky enough to have Miss Christi for the integrated pre k program. She is fantastic! Thanks to her he was able to move to a general education program for elementary school. When it was time to look for preschool for my other children I looked no further. My son was placed with Miss Christine for the 3s program. He really enjoyed going to her class. She always had wonderful activities and projects planned. She also helped me realize that he also needed some additional services. Thanks to her he is currently in Miss Amy's 4 year old integrated class and he is doing amazing! He is so excited to go to school each day and so eager to learn! He even knows his numbers and letters! My daughter also went to building blocks. She was in the toddler program with Miss Dawn. She is the type of child who doesn't separate easily but Miss Dawn made it happen!! By day three She was running into the classroom without looking back at me! I have never seen my daughter happier! Miss Dawn is the greatest toddler teacher in the world! My children have also received related services through building blocks. Miss Shannon was my older son's occupational therapist and I was overjoyed when I found out that she would be working with my younger son! He also receives physical therapy with Miss Amy and speech therapy with Miss Alexa. I cannot say enough about each of these women. I feel so lucky to have them in my corner. My children have grown so much and come so far due to their hard work and dedication. I would also like to mention the nursing staff. My daughter has epilepsy so you can imagine how nervous I was to send her to a program. Thanks to the amazing nursing staff I had no fear! They are so knowledgeable and they made me feel so comfortable! I knew that she was well taken care of at every moment!! Overall building blocks has exceeded all of my expectations. Every staff member including teachers, assistants, therapists and administrators have been nothing but kind and nurturing throughout this preschool experience. I am forever grateful to this wonderful school!!
