I called this place twice and no one ever gets back to you…read more Terrible customer service. If they can't call you back, I don't want my loving family member there. I can only imagine how they treat their residence. Yikes!

Therein lies a tale and a cautionary one at that Most of these types of communities require a buy in before entry an WEL is no different. My Mom had modest means and we had to sell her home for her to qualify for a modest studio. It was satisfactory and clean and the staff was responsive and caring. No problems there. Quite the contrary. But Mom was only in her studio for about a week when she fell and had to be moved to the hospital unit. She was there for a while, happily and well cared for. But she contracted pneumonia, probably after a stay in rehab somewhere else. It never quite cleared up and, much to everyone's chagrin, she took sick and died. All told, she was at WEL for a month or so I want to make it clear she was well cared for. But when you do a buy in, you agree that the unused portion of the buy in, which amortized the rent, will be returned after the apartment was rerented. In Mom's case, that was approximately six months ago, and WEL owes the estate some 70,000 dollars, or nearly half of the sale price of Mom's home. I have worked through a lawyer to try to get them to return the money, but have hit a stone wall. I suspect they are stalling because they can and they are hurting my Mom's grandchildren in the process. Yes, it's perfectly legal, I suppose, but it is outrageous given the time she spent there. Her family deserves better The moral is to be very careful dealing with this company. If they owe you part of an estate, they have little incentive to return it. And they are good at stalling. If you can find a less restrictive entrance covenant, do so. Or just hope your loved one spends their resources. Because, otherwise, you will wonder how these people can take an interest free loan on snap estate with virtually no regulation. I have heard similar stories on investigation, and the new management would make me even more wary of dealing with them. Be careful

The physical therapist has been fantastic in getting her up and moving again (she had become bed-ridden). No place is perfect and there have been mornings where she has waited awhile for someone to come but this is not the norm. Communication is not the best but they do call back when I leave a message.

He was severely dehydrated and numerous blood clots in his legs. He was in a memory care unit and was told he needed prompting and reminders to drink and eat. They neglected him! The staff has no compassion or love. Extremely disrespectful and poorly run! From the beginning, the communication is horrible. Dominique does not know how to return calls. We were given paperwork and contracts after my Dad was admitted. Erica, the Director of Nursing, has the coldest heart if she in fact has a heart. No one could give us an answer to what happened to my Dad. We wanted to pick up his belongings, no one would call us back. So funny that the staff has time on their Facebook page to make videos of them doing the chicken dance, yet they can't give my Father a glass of water! Horrible place. Stay away. Would never recommend!

While they claim to be a rehab, mom did not make any progress in her 6 weeks there. She had 5 falls and one UTI. They lost most of her clothes and she was transferred to another nursing facility in only a gown. The clothes were eventually found but only after more were purchased. I was given the wrong information about items missing during the hospital transport. Anastasia Jones told me their inventory was checked and the items must have been lost in the transport van. The missing items showed up on her transfer day when I picked up the few items of clothing they did have for her. It is also appears she had a stroke during her stay there. Her stay there was a detriment to her health. I should mention, I was offered a refund for the missing clothes. When the clothes were found, I emailed to see if the refund was still on the table since I had to purchase new clothes to replace the missing ones. That email came back-could not be delivered. Looks like Nathan Weiss blocked my email. I did give the one star for the nice nurses.

Complaints or concerns were either not addressed or were only resolved with an unacceptable amount of effort on our end. Westgate Hills Nursing Center did not provide an environment where my Mom could improve mentally and physically. Thankfully, we were able to move her out before she experienced any further decline.
