Beautiful place with caring staff and happy residents. This is a place I would feel comfortable with my parents living.

If you have any respect and concern for your family member or friend, DO NOT allow anyone to place…read morethem in this hell hole!!! The place should be shut down. Three people to a room, blood splatters on the equipment and wall. The place smelled so bad it was enough to gag you. A mixture of filth, urine, feces, and decay. My father-in-law was sent there from Paoli hospital, in less then 10 hours, we had to call 911 to get him medical treatment. The so called nurse ignored our pleas to get him help for the blood clots clearly floating in the collection bag and his screaming out in pain ( caused by a bad PEG tube in his stomach fund at the ER and an infected catheter) The ambulance crew were astonished at the poor condition and lack of staff cooperation and immediately agreed to transport him out of the bowels of hell. Found out later Dad was repeatedly asking to use the bathroom and was ignored (he was bed ridden) begging for assistance and a bed pan at least. He could no longer hold his bowels and was forced to move to the side of the bed and poop on the floor. The staff were yelling at him about it when we got there at 900AM that morning. When we called 911, the nurse stopped administering any aid and went behind the desk at sat his fat ass down.

I called in to make a sick appointment after leaving urgent care. I talked to two receptionists…read more(one in a call center and another at the facility) both of them left me on hold for twenty minutes each time. After 40 minutes, the last receptionist told me I have to wait 11 days for a sick appointment. I'll be changing my primary care doctor today :(

I am not a fan of the medical establishment as it currently works and take a high level of…read moreresponsibility for my own health. Nonetheless, I found myself with a UTI that I didn't seem able to shake on my own, and this is when I learned that my previous doctor had disbanded her practice and moved. in pain and contemplating a long weekend, I had Keystone sign me up with Dr. Best, reputed to be a really good doctor, at this practice and called to make an appointment. It did not go well. I believe doctors are responsible to hire staff that sees to the well-being of patients. PCPs are the gatekeepers of what many of us (especially if we have HMOs) may and may not have in terms of healthcare. If they and their colleagues create rules and circumstances that enable them to avoid that responsibility, I'm sorry, they potentially endanger their patients and their value as healthcare providers must be questioned. It didn't come as a big surprise to me that I could not be seen on the day that I called. I could have lived with a referral to an urgent care clinic, for which my HMO requires a referral. For better or worse, Dr. Best was now my PCP, in control of whether I could even have that. The staff, including a person who identified herself as Dr. Best's nurse, refused to forward my request to him (I called in the morning, leaving plenty of time for her to do that) on the grounds that I had never been seen at this office. This left me either to pay out of pocket for the healthcare I was already paying so much for in monthly premiums, or to deal. These doctors know very well what kind of reviews their staff is getting and yet they choose to tolerate counterproductive and even dangerous behaviors. They are responsible for the consequences. There was no excuse for this office failing to provide this referral. I could have been on the verge of sepsis and in excruciating pain, or lacking the financial ability to pay for urgent care by myself.

Visiting Angels was a godsend, no pun intended. I am an only child that lived far from my mother…read more When my mother fell ill with stage iv cancer, the situation quickly became overwhelming. Looking back getting Visiting Angels involved earlier would have avoided many of the challenges. Their aides were exceptionally diligent and compassionate. They worked with the nurses from the hospital system's palliative and later hospice care teams. The Visiting Angels scheduling team was also able to increase coverage as needed and were always just a call away, 24x7. The Visiting Angels were able to meet mom's daily care needs and provided a tremendous sense of relief. With Visiting Angels taking care of the ADL's, I was able to focus on managing the overall care (scheduling and taking her to appointments, paying her bills), while visiting angels took care of the day-to-day care needs at home. If you're in doubt that Visiting Angels can deliver, lets this ease your concern - they can. To Visiting Angels Chadds Ford, PA, thank you so much!
