They did have a dog drinking fountain which is great but as dogs drank and flung water, it then made the dirt quickly turn into mud! They provided some benches and tables which was nice! Not many people know about this gym that is part of the Hillsborough County Park and Recreation department. We have use this gym for our badminton club free play night for almost a year. This facilities have soccer field at the back of the building. Many activities took place at this location include children soccer team. The media room have computer for the after school care. They also have the theater performance art class. They have high impact aerobic class and low impact exercise class. The gym floor is two basketball courts two volley ball courts or four badminton courts. Our badminton club play two night a week. This building is actually our tax money to build it. The gym floor is spring board with wood flooring. They are very nice. Please check out the available classes that are ongoing now by calling the center or walk up to the main lobby for the available exercise class. Make good use of this new facilities.

I snagged the last parking spot (as others have mentioned the parking lot is small, but you can park at the school if you can't find a spot.) I only walked through the actual rec building to get to the park. I was amazed by the outside area. The benches are covered and there are a ton of cubby holes where you can store your stuff. The playground is covered too! We're in Florida, shade matters! There is also a huge grassy area in case you want to throw a ball or just let your child run around and blow off steam. Whatever floats your boat. Once my child starts walking I'm sure we will be back many times.

Beautiful place to either bike, walk, run, inline skate...we even saw some electric scooters racing…read morethrough. Facilities are always clean and open and the park is taken care of. My fiance and I walked just under 5 miles and the pavement wasnt overly packed with bikers. Everyone is pretty friendly and share the road. We entered from Bruce B Downs but we have used both entrances. The front entrance is more walker/runner friendly since you aren't immediately at the 7 mile loop.

The playground has swings for different age groups and abilities. My kids enjoyed going down the slides, the rope- and rock-climbing structures, musical elements, and spinning structure. There's plenty of shade over the playground and benches for parents. The newly opened splash pad was a hit with my kids. Plenty of shaded seating for parents and bathrooms are nearby. Don't forget to pack snacks for the kids (please clean up after your family), sunscreen and reusable water bottles. Not as crowded before 12 pm.
