Good workout area, but whole building is dumpy. Nice staff except one mean old guy. Free wifi as well.

Staff are great and gymnastics studio is very cool. Building needs some updating and work out area is somewhat small but good for families.

I haven't been to the batting cage since I was a kid so I decided to be adventurous and go try it…read moreout again. This location was closer to us so we went in and there is a Yelp coupon for 20% off one batting cage round but I decided to save that for another time since we were going to rent a cage for an hour. This store is on the other side of Dollar Tree. The employees there were really nice and helpful. The rental included helmets and bats so that was nice. You have to miss a couple of shots before you get the hang of things but once you get to swinging, it will be hard to stop. The hour went by fast and it was split between three people. There is no max for the cage rentals so if you wanted to share it with 10 people, you could. There is also a gym and private training lessons there for anyone interested. I highly recommend and I plan to go back!

I would never entrust this place with the care of my child…read more Over the course of two consecutive days, my 6-year-old son was hit in the face with a dodgeball during camp. I completely understand that accidents happen and that kids get hurt while playing sports. We have had our children involved in sports since they were 3 years old, and we fully expect bumps and bruises. What is unacceptable is how the situation was handled. At no point did anyone call us, and the coach never mentioned that our son had been hit in the face. My son did tell the staff that he got hurt, yet no one offered him basic care or informed us about the incident when I picked him up. I only learned what happened because my son told me himself. Instead, they left it up to a 6-year-old to communicate what he needed. He's the youngest child there and, like many young children, he wanted to be tough in front of the older kids. Expecting a 1st-grader to recognize, communicate, and advocate for his own medical needs is simply not appropriate. For more than $250 a week for only a few hours of daily care, I expected the staff to take some initiative. Something as simple as offering ice or notifying a parent should be standard practice. What was even more disappointing was the owner's response. Rather than expressing concern or apologizing, I was told that because my son "didn't ask for anything," they didn't offer him anything. There was no acknowledgment that the situation could have been handled better, no commitment to improve their procedures, and ZERO empathy. Instead, the owner seemed offended that I raised the concern and told me my reaction was unfair. This review is not about a child getting hurt. It's about the complete lack of responsibility, care, and accountability shown afterward. When parents leave their children in your care, they trust you to look after them--not to rely on a 6-year-old to decide when he needs help. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this academy to any parent looking for a place that prioritizes the safety and well-being of young children.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium - Right whales need our protection and help

Well it turns out it's much more economical to be a member so we splurged on the 4-person membership for around $240. The staff is all super nice. It was a weekday so rather than paying $14 for parking (members only pay $7 with validation) we found free street parking. My 4 year old loved the touching tank upon entry and we learned about how lobsters shed their shells. It's a mixture of old and new structures so it can get confusing to navigate but we figured it out for the most part. Another favorite was the stingray area as well because you can get wet. I personally couldn't locate the otters but I will make it my mission next time. Lots of scheduled presentations! I think we will find plenty of reasons to come back. I noticed they also have a food court. Would love to see some sort of splash pad addition like at the one in Tampa. There is a cute waterfront playground just a stone's throw away!

Which turned out to be a caveat because apparently today was a day everybody decided to come to the aquarium. If you didn't already know this is where "Dolphims Tale" emanated from. Florida is and has always been dedicated to the preservation and rescue and Rehabilitation of the marine species and environment. The drive out here is something. Beware that if you're going for your first time, you're going to be sore in places you didn't know possible for days after. It gets easier as you do it more, but as someone who works out 5x per week, I simply was not expecting the impact this would have on my body. The staff is INCREDIBLE- they are so friendly when you check in and give such specific, helpful cues to get you up and moving on the cables. The food options are amazing. The pizza is fantastic. Highly recommend the breakfast pizza. You can order by QR code once you're down at the cables, which is so nice. There's this cool balcony area called Upper Decky which is perfect to walk people on the features when you're taking a break yourself. $40 for 3 hours is unbeatable too. You can bring your own snacks and drinks and other people can come hang out for free if they're not wakeboarding. If you're having trouble getting up on the wakeboard, they can pull out the kneeboard for you. Plus, there's a splash park. It's giving "Wipeout" to me- I'm not agile and I just kept falling off all the obstacles, but I guess that's kind of the point. Overall, The Cove is perfect for kids and adults alike!

But no luck, park is pushing up on closing time. Asked for a rain check and we were told that we should have checked the weather, sorry. If that were the case in FL no one would ever ride.... Good park, but only come if it's one of the handful of perfect Florida days.
