This place was a total random date find for me, but glad I stopped in. Everything from the rowed Xmas lights on the ceiling, to the custom avant-garde wooden bar top speaks late 60s/early 70s cozy-chic to me. On top of this, the music and clientele rocks and, as a bonus, the interior is decked out in Rat Pack movie memorabilia -- apropos as the spot is, I imagine, named for the 1955 Sinatra film! The space is extremely small and overcrowded, to the point where you can barely move, let alone order a drink. With how packed it was, the bartenders seemed to be moving at a slow pace with little sense of urgency, which made getting to the bar nearly impossible. After waiting about 10 minutes without being able to place an order, we ended up leaving. It was disappointing, especially after driving out excited to try the drinks we saw online. The photos make the space feel much bigger and more relaxed than it actually is, which created a very different expectation. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype and first impressions fell flat.

The place is huge, well-lit, has an e-jukebox, 3 pool tables, dart board(s), board games, and many TVs. It's a dive bar, but I say that in a good way. It wasn't too busy on either of our visits, but I understand that during football season, they host the San Francisco 49ers faithful, and the place can get packed on Sundays. There's a good selection of beers on-tap and in bottle, and of course you can get shots and simple cocktails, but they didn't have the ingredients to make an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. No food is served, but they do sell bags of Twisted Pig pretzels ($4), which are available in spicy, medium, and original flavors. They're some of the best bagged pretzels we've ever had. Overall, it's a fun neighborhood bar with friendly service, lots of space to gather, hang out, and things to keep you busy. We'll be back.

You still have to do the long, narrow walk past the bar like you're entering a low-budget runway show, and there's a single pool table holding court in the back. I've been there when it's empty enough to hijack the TouchTunes from my phone, and I've been there when it's so packed you're basically making new friends whether you planned to or not. The crowd runs 23 to 73, but it leans Millennial/Gen X in the most comfortable way possible. Music is gloriously chaotic. Friday DJs spinning Zapp & Roger and funky dance vibes one minute, then System of a Down or The Smiths on another night. Emotional range. But the one constant is The drinks are always strong. Not craft cocktail precious. Strong. The bartenders are heavy-handed and the prices are shockingly reasonable, which means two or three drinks here will absolutely set the tone for your evening. You've been warned. It's an easy yes whether you're popping in for one drink or accidentally staying all night.
