This is my first Yelp review. Since I can't go anywhere I had planned this holiday weekend, I thought I would take the time to review Werner. I bought a used car from them exactly a month ago. It is now sitting in my driveway until I can figure out how to get it fixed. Their 120 point inspection obviously doesn't include the brakes! The car has 33,000 miles on it and the brakes went a month after I bought it? Seriously! "Why buy new when you can buy used?" said Joe the salesman. Well I guess I figured out why Joe! Also, I stupidly bought an extended warranty for this car since it is used. A few days after I purchased the car, I went over the paperwork again. I was quoted a monthly payment via email based on financing for 60 months. I noticed on the paperwork that it said 66 months. I contacted the dealership by replying back to that original email three times. Nobody has responded. I called and left a message. Nobody has called me back. Now I have to contact the BBB because they left me no choice. This whole thing has made me not even want the car anymore. I feel I was totally taken advantage of. For years I had my car serviced at Werner Mazda! I felt like a valued customer. Until I had them do a big job on my car! I was going to write a long detailed review of my experience with the Werner Mazda Service Department. I Decided against it. It would not fix the wrong doing done to me or even keep people from going there. My issues even got the owner involved!! He wrote me off saying I was "looking for something for nothing..." I am so happy that we chose Werner as our dealership. Today we brought our car in for a routine oil change. They did the oil change and their routine car inspection and my tires were completely bald. I drive a lot but didn't think to check and see how bald my tires actually were, silly on my part but luckily the service manage caught this. Upon seeing the shape the tires were in for myself, I was so happy that John brought it to my attention. He was genuinely concerned about our safety and advised us to get new tires even if we didn't want to get them there! We did end up going through Werner because John provided us with a great deal (we called around before making our decision) and a free alignment. He was seriously so helpful. I know it was my fault for overlooking the condition of my tires, I am just so thankful that people like John are still out there to help lend a hand and honest advice when needed. read more

Sales Dept is good, but Service Dept is a bit lacking. Takes forever to get in for service took me two weeks before I could get and oil change and tire rotation in. Can't service the vehicle other than Mazda as I have a Mazda service plan. Not sure what happen with this Dept but need to change quick before having to find another Mazda place to get service and possibly lose a permanent customer as I bought all my Mazdas here so it may be the time to change dealers? If you are having a hard time keep Techs maybe its time to look on why you are understaffed. You get banned from the dealership over a bad survey. With no explanation of except I am the Manager/Owner. 2 weeks to get my car serviced for an regular routine maintenance seriously if you are that understaffed maybe there is a reason behind it. Not sure why this dealer is supposedly a 4 star gold dealer. The owner acted unprofessional and I have no longer need for there lack of professionalism they lost a long term customer after this after buying vehicles here for sometime I get treated this way. Only time I get a response is over a bad survey. Maybe if you talked it out people can change surveys and etc but you rather not so its on you now. This wasn't the first time I had issue with this dealer either but I let slide not this time. Kristen was a bit rude and not very professional. I would have happily worked things out if you simply talked it out. Again I was way passed my Maintenance schedule time and Jess knew that but no regards for helping me get in soon, I will not be held responsible I there is engine break down since I can't just go any where except a Mazda dealer for service since I paid up front for the plan. Even sent an email to John seeing why is going on and why I can't get in sooner, but I didn't even get a response back from that email. So they all of these people had more time to discuss the matter before anything else occurred but again they decide to take the high road and be rude and BAN someone from the dealership. I guess you have enough customer coming to lose paying customers. Mazda Corp already knows about this issue and had noted it themselves. Not sure where this will go from here now. read more

bought a used madza 6 from these guys a few months ago. i was underwhelmed by their customer service, which they claim is great btw. the carfax had some issues which turned out to be data entry errors on their part (not helping them look good). i paid asking price and they didn't give me much for my trade in. it took me 11 days to get the paperwork from them so i could register the new car. the salesman was pretty much useless, he seemed inexperienced and had to ask his boss the answer to all of my questions. no one called me when they said they would, i had to chase them down. i had issues with the dealership and my insurance company not knowing who was doing what. i did have the use of a loaner car from them while they worked on mine and when i realized my time to register the new vechicle was up (i'm from MA) and i still didn't have the paperwork in my hand, i kept the loaner till i got it. the sales guy had no idea of MA laws. once i registered the car and dropped off the loaner, i picked up my car, and on the way home the check engine light came on. next day i dropped it off the next day, and got another loaner. at this point i was seriously pissed. after 3 days, they said they fixed it so i drove back up to get it, but as soon as i drove it i knew it wasn't fixed. i drove around on 93 waiting for it to stall out again. dropped it back off. 3 days later and $100 worth of gas, in 3 different vehicles later, i picked it up, and it was finally good to go. they fixed it at no charge, but it was not a great buying experience. Where to begin ? Wow.... I have been going to this dealership for 14 years and during the past year, I have had nothing but problems with their current service manager John O'Brien. My car has been in and out of their garage numerous times during the past 6 months and I have spent several thousand dollars there during the past 2 years and even more if I include the past 4+ years. Last week I called them on Monday morning because I had gotten a flat tire over the weekend and needed at least one tire replaced. They told me about a buy 3 get one free special on tires for the month of June and he recommended that I do all 4 tires because two (rear tires) were down to 4/32 and the two in front (one of which was flat) were at 5/32 which is low. He said that the rear tires may not pass inspection come November and would not have as much traction in current state. My snow tires which they swap onto the car for me in November were at 3/32. John recommended getting 4 new tires and just using those instead of swapping out to the winters. John said to bring the car in that day (Monday) but it would not be ready until Thursday because they could not get all 4 tires until Wednesday. I dropped the car off at their garage on my way to work around 1 pm and they gave me a loaner. Just before they left for the day, service called and left me a message that the car needed extensive repairs elsewhere. I called back first thing Tuesday morning and when they told me what was needed and the cost, I told them to cancel the tires and just put on one tire. John told me that it was too late, I had to take all 4 tires because they had already bought them. He also then told me that he did not recommend I keep the car because of the age of the car and amount of repairs needed now and in the very near future. He recommended that I buy a new car from them. I told him that there was no point buying 4 new tires if I was going to trade or sell that car and get a new one. He said it was too late and that I HAD to buy all 4 tires. I told him I needed to think about it over night. I called the next day and said that I did not want all 4 tires. I just wanted the flat tire replaced and that I was going to try and get financing pre-approved at my bank so I could then look at new cars. Long story short, John refused to let me get just one tire and would not release my car to me unless I bought all 4 tires. He also said that I had to bring the loaner back. Within 2 minutes of this conversation with John, one of his salesmen (from the showroom floor) called me and said he was aware of my situation and had a solution. He (David) said that if I purchase a new car from them, that they would take my car in trade and I would not have to pay for the tires. So basically, I have to spend $25,000 to $30,000 on a new car so I don't have to pay for 4 tires that I did not want and cancelled in less than 24 hours and also long before the car was supposed to be ready. They were trying to scare me into buying a new car and say that my car was not worth putting repairs into, except for the 4 tires they insisted I buy. John then told me that if I did not return the loan car that he would call the police. He was holding my car hostage for a purchase I did NOT want and then accused me of holding his car hostage. I actually wished he had called the police so I could tell them that Werner was holding my car hostage. But I was already at work and I was concerned they would go get the car from my work parking lot and leave me stranded there. Even after John threatened to call the police, he was STILL trying to get me to buy a new car. Unbelievable. Why would I want to buy a car from a company that was extorting money from me for tires I did not want and then tried to scare me into buying a car right away. It was extremely high pressure and I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. After I dropped off their loaner car, paid for the 4 tires I did NOT want and took my car, John contacted me and accused me of damaging their loaner car. Trying to extort even more money from me ! I never hit anything and no one hit me. I drove the car back and forth to work every day and that was it. Work is 8 miles from my house so 16 miles round trip. I was on the highway most of that commute then the car was either parked in my driveway and home or in the parking lot at work. I never came in contact with any objects nor any other cars. So now John is trying to strong arm me into paying for some mysterious damages that I did not and could not possibly have done. I have already initiated a complaint with the Attorney General's office and will be filing a small claims case against Werner. Their behavior has been unethical, immoral and downright nasty. There is a previous grievance between myself and Werner Mazda regarding their lack of professionalism in the past, after they installed much less expensive summer tires on my car when I ordered all season, and I drove them unknowingly through the winter and had a blowout on the highway. Today I express my disappointment that given the opportunity to redeem themselves, they instead, tried to take advantage of me a second time. I went in for a state inspection and was told that my car failed due to an active leak as a result of a crack in the steering rack and that it would cost over $1,000 for repair. Skeptical, I got a second opinion on this, and amazingly, my car passed with flying colors. The other mechanic asked my about the previous failing as it came up in the system, and I explained my experience. They told me flat out that they checked and thoroughly inspected the steering rack and surrounding area, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I love Mazda. It bothers me that these people at Werner are representing the Mazda brand. I cannot believe that I was blatantly lied to. This is not the way to treat repeat customers, or any customer at all for that matter. If I could have rated zero stars, I would have. Buyer beware. read more

I purchased a 2010 Chevy equinox from this dealership, in may of 2014. The first week I had the vehical I had to get a oil change. ( no oil in the vehical) About three weeks later I heard ticking from the engine. Took the SUV to Chevy found out the pistons where bad and that is why the oil was burning fast!!!! Mazda did not want to help me with this problem! So now at the beginning of 5 months of owing this vehical I have to get 4 new tires and 2 wheel barrings and a all wheel alignment ....I called and spoke with Rick hammon..his response to this "to bad u bought the vehical that way".! read more

We had an appointment all set up for 9am on a Sat. morning with Eric Werner. We arrived at 8:55am the showroom door was open, we went in and all the staff were gathered in a glass enclosure. Not one person came out to offer to help us. At 9:10am a salesperson came out we asked for Eric, we were informed he was not in. We started talking to the salesman who had approached us about what we had set up on line with both Aaron and Rich the sales manager. It became very evident to us that the salesman knew very little about the vehicle we were looking at, we knew much more about the vehicle. We walked out and went to another Mazda dealer and bought a 2017 Mazda 3 Grand Touring. Werner Mazda you had the chance to make this sale and blew it completely. I went here while shopping for a new Mazda and I had a terrible experience. They lied throughout the process and offered terrible prices for the car and the trade in. I put a deposit down on a car but I decided I didn't want that exact one the next day. They said I would have my security deposit mailed back within 72 hours. It is now approaching two weeks and I have had to call repeatedly and it still has not shown up. I would not recommend this place to anybody. read more

I came into Werner Mazda on a Wednesday afternoon and was warmly greeted by Dave Howe. I was getting ready to sell my old car and wanted to look at the possibility of purchasing a certified pre-owned car. My brother has a MAZDASPEED6 and loves it, so he recommended that I check out some Mazdas. Dave was so nice, polite, patient and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and never rushed me or pressured me to buy. We went on a couple of test drives and I picked the car I wanted and put a hold on it until I could come back and pick it up on Saturday. I brought my mom with me to pick up the car and Dave was just as kind to her as he was to me, which I really appreciated. He made her part of the conversation instead of just leaving her to sit in the background. The car was fully detailed and had a full tank of gas in it when I picked it up. My experience at Werner Mazda was awesome and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new car! Oh... and I LOVE my MAZDA3 :) read more

So I went to Werner Mazda yesterday to see if I can get a car. Knowing my credit history was not good, I was not getting my hopes up. After 4 hours of being there, they said they were able to get it approved. We signed all the paper work and they put a temp plate on the car and I drove home that night. The next day I get a phone call from Werner asking me to come back in, they said they think they can get a better interest rate and lower my monthly payment. So I went there after work to see what they could do. when i got there they started to explain to me how the deal they made me is no good and for me to keep the car, I need to give them an additional $1500 down on the car after I already signed a contract on the car! So it has already cost me $300 to put insurance on a car they are going to take back from me. So after explained to them I did not have the $1500 to give them, they took the keys away from me. I said I had stuff in the car I needed to get out. When I got my stuff out of the car the sales manager comes with me and another man was watching over us. So after getting my stuff out of the car I slammed the door out of frustration the sales manager yelled " DO NOT SLAM THE DOOR ON MY FUCKING CAR" which angered me. I asked who the owner was and he said the other guy that was watching over us. So the owner heard his employee swear at me and could care less, and refused to do anything about it. I know at my job I swear at a customer no matter what happens I would be fired on the spot. So I guess this is acceptable to do to customers in front of the "owner" of the dealership. If I could give them a zero star rating it would be more fitting. So if you are looking for a fair deal and great customer service stay clear of Werner Mazda! read more

After a lengthy wait while the sales person talked with the Manager he came back with the lowest price of the vehicle which was over $1,000 more than the vehicle is listed for on your website. When my husband questioned the manager, Nick Flood, Nick immediately began shouting at my husband from across the showroom floor, in front of my young child, in front of all the other customers in the showroom. He was pacing around, ranting and yelling at me and my husband how could he have known what the price on line was, he had and I quote "12 other things going on at the time, how could he know the price that was listed online", he continued on that if we knew that price of the car then why didn't we tell him instead of having him price the vehicle. Last time I purchased a vehicle the Sales person knew the price of the car, it wasn't up to the buyer to research your inventory, it was the staff at the dealership job to do that. It is completely unacceptable that the manager was yelling at us in front of my daughter and the other customers. read more
