Horrible customer service, will lie about what they checked on your vehicle and give it back to you with the same problem just for you to find out about it a few days later. If u could go back in time I NEVER would of bought the Hyundai. I asked them to check my front right tire and they said they did and it was fine. I told them it leaked air till it was in the 20psi range. They gave it to me amd all they did was fill the tire with air. I TOLD THEM TO CHECK THE STEM. Did they do it...nope. so here I am again waiting for HOURS so they can check the tire out AGAIN. Will not recommend ANYONE to buy from Werner Hyundai. This is just one issue. My wife and I bought a vehicle from this dealership in May. We live in South Carolina so when we went to go pick up the vehicle we were told by Major Lowe (finance manager) that they would need to collect an additional $1,198.35 for the "anticipated" property tax. Long story short, the title work was taking longer than expected and I had to help them get my wife's property tax invoice, which it ended up being only $313.31. When I inquired about a refund for the excess amount, I WAS IGNORED AND GHOSTED. There was NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that they would work on this whatsoever after MULTIPLE emails and phone calls. THIS WAS POSSIBLY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A DELAERS SERVICE. I had my car towed in and call the service department. I told them that it simply failed and they promised to get right on it. I informed them that while the car was in to go ahead and schedule the oil and filter change. They set that up for the next day, Wednesday. I also told them that my sensors were not working and they promised to check on that. They call me two days later. There was a delay in receiving the part and it would probably be next Monday before everything was complete. They also indicated I had a recall for a second key. I told them that this was the third time I had asked about the key. They stated they needed an extra day to deal with that. They promised to contact me every day or two and advise the status. When I had not heard from them by Friday, I called and it simply went to voice mail. I left messages but no one called me back. Finally, Monday afternoon (one week later) they left me a voice mail telling me the car was ready. I had my grandson drive me over and we waited for 10-15 minutes before someone finally helped us. They confirmed the car was ready so I asked about the oil change, filter and they said no it was not done. I asked about the sensors and they did not show anything. I asked about the second key and they thought it might be inside the car. We walked outside and they could not locate the car. I went back inside and waited some more. Finally they located the car and brought it around. The man handed me two keys and left. Once I was home, I looked at the second key... and it was a blank key with nothing inside. This is the worse place ever. i bought a pre owned car from them in 2017, also purchased a extended warrant, which I was told that when the original warranty coverage expires the extended warranty coverage that I purchased would kick in. Now that my car needs a replacement engine I find out that I have no coverage for that. They are practicing underhanded methods there. They are lying to customers. This man name Tre is a joke, he gave me his contact information and then he wouldn't answer my calls, lied so badly that my daughter had to call the dealership and speak to him, I only got voicemail and no return calls. Now my car is there just sitting. If I could give a zero I would. i Went there to speak to someone in person and I see all these service techs just standing around asking for donuts, I'm serious, donuts and drinking coffee while the phone continues to ring until voicemail comes on. Now I have a car that needs an engine and no way to pay for it. I am 70 years old on a fixed incom. that is why I purchased the extended warranty for this reason. Our 2007 Hyundai Azera had an issue with the key assembly that required a new part be installed, which necessitated new keys. The car was towed from Thomasville to Tallahassee on December 13, 2024, and we finally picked it up today, April 11, 2025. Why did it take 4 months? I would love to know the answer to that question but no one in the service department there is willing to answer it. The first two months were taken up with holiday delays (Christmas, New Year's) and then an issue with the part which, by the way, they told us they couldn't provide: my husband had to Google the part, purchase it, and take it to them to have them install it. The part was finally installed successfully on February 14. On that day, the mechanic told my husband that the new keys required a unique PIN code that he was told had to come from Hyundai support in Korea. He advised us that it could take up to 5 business days to receive the code, so we didn't reach out to them for an update until February 21. At that time, we were told that they still hadn't received a callback. When we requested that they reach out again to Korea, they told us they had to wait. This went on for 5 increasingly frustrating WEEKS until we finally contacted Hyundai's Consumer Affairs and filed a complaint. Less than 90 minutes after Werner received the initial call from our support rep at Hyundai, my husband received a text saying that the car was ready to be picked up. Coincidence? I think not! When we picked up the car today, I asked why 6 weeks had passed as we waited for them to get the code only to suddenly get it on the very same day that the Consumer Affairs support rep called them. Tafari said it was just coincidental and that they had been repeatedly calling to get the code and they finally were just able to. To add insult to injury, they charged us for 5 hours of labor when I'm guessing they **might** have performed 3. The service manager magnanimously gave us a $100 discount which doesn't even amount to 1 billable hour. A 1-star rating is generous for this dealership's service department. {It remains to be seen whether the quality of the work that was done was good; my husband said the mechanic that installed the key assembly was extremely nice and seemed genuinely interested in explaining what had been done. This was the ONLY positive part of this 4-MONTH fiasco.} read more

He walked back in and never came back out 20 minutes past and I walked in the building and talked to Tray and asked him are y'all behind or something because my appointment is at 11:30. I cannot leave a review for Werner Genesis as there is no more Werner Genesis but their customer service I received from the service dept was terrible. No communication seems to be a norm for them and even when I tried to reach out to the general manager via email because the rude scheduler claimed she did not have his extension. He did not even follow up. How do you expect your employees to lead by example if you cannot even show a good example of good follow up? I would avoid them if at all possible. Update- Kyle the director reached out to me and though I was hesitant I did allow him and Werner to make things right. He did complete the recall that was needed on my vehicle via concierge service that was originally promised. He stayed in contact the whole the process and even offered a cleaning. Kyle wasn't involved in my original issue or reason for my complaint but took care of the problem and I appreciate his effort. read more

I then had to go find another adviser to take care of me. ( the two men in the office were discussing lost car keys of clients) I would not recommend this place. Werner Hyundai has made me lose the little bit of hope I had left in this world's current version of decent customer service. They are HORRIBLE. The epitome of bad customer service. The people at the front desk act like directing or call or handling your issue is the last thing they want to do. They have an attitude on the phone and will sound annoyed or frustrated with you (I'm sure it's not their fault, I'm sure the place they work + the people they work for just suck). I had been working with them for months on an issue with my car burning oil. After working with them for over a month completing an oil consumption form, MARCUS said he would submit everything and get back to me. At the time of writing this review, I still have not heard anything back from Marcus or from Werner Hyundai. That was around 3 months ago. I have called and left more voicemails than I can count. I have talked to more supervisors and employees than I can remember, and still no help. It's comical at this point how horrible their communication is. If you value your sanity and time, TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! EDIT: I wanted to come on here and commend the few people who did do their job. DENNY in the service department was incredible and very helpful, and ended up taking the 10 minutes to get me what I needed himself. I cannot stress enough to do your due diligence with this dealership. I took what they told me about their reconditioning and inspections on the car I purchased from them at face value, and I have no other explanation from my standpoint other than they lied to me. I have spent nearly $1500 on repairs to the car I bought from them after having paid a $1700 dealership reconditioning fee to them. I had to purchase all new rotors less than a week after buying the car, and a month later an issue was found on the front axle. In both instances mechanics that I trust have told me that these issues were not new whatsoever and should have been easily seen on the dealerships pre-owned inspection. Either they might have sold me a car that they knew had issues, or the inspections they had told me about were not as comprehensive as they led me to believe. Beyond that the customer service at Werner Hyundai is beyond incompetent. They cannot seem to answer the phone, and when they do they quickly put me on hold never to pick up again. They take weeks to respond on email to questions that should take 2 minutes to answer. Absolutely horrible customer service. I won't name any names, but the original salesman that I worked with is no longer there, and the sales and finance managers are quite rude and unhelpful once they get the money out of you. Hopefully I never have to deal with this "business" again. Oh and they will probably respond to this review telling me to contact them and they will try to fix whatever issues there are. I've never written a negative public review until now regarding a business but am more than enthusiastic to do so about Werner Hyundai in Tallahassee. In searching auto adds for my daughter in law we found what we considered a pretty competitive price on a used Hyundai Santa Fe at Werner. Our salesman Jay said the car was at another dealership and got it to us in about 30 minutes. No big deal. I want to take a step back. Going in we had noticed some pretty outrageous dealer's fees noted in the add as negotiable. I let Jay know immediately that if those fees were included in the deal we would pass and would go look at another dealership. Of course we were assured that shouldn't be a problem. This car was listed at $19,700 and when the sales manager (Name I've forgotten or didn't catch) came in he presented us a "Out the door" price of over $29,000 +. I was outraged to say the least as I've never had anyone try to take such advantage of me or anyone else I know. When I asked Jay if there was any confusion in my earlier statement regarding not paying outrageous dealer fees and wasting our time the sales manager said that their fees simply placed the total price at the true "market" value of the car. I asked why they didn't just ask a higher price and skip the part where you are taking advantage of the customer. The only response we got was they would try to find a lesser priced car. They still didn't seem to get it when they brought out another car for less money with the same ridiculous fees added on. ZERO communication from service, multiple calls to head office, head of service and corporate. A condescending representative would call us to say "we call too much". WHAT? Service supervisor Marcus Ancheta is rude and unprofessional, lacking the customer service skills needed to handle difficult situation with upset customers. Our Hyundai Sonata's engine seized due to engine recall#17V-266. Their service department has not offered any timeline for repair or offered a loaner car. They are unreliable and a disappointment, void of the strategic steps needed to resolve an issue caused by manufacturer negligence. I wish anyone luck in dealing with this team if they are a victim of this engine defect recall. The BBB is now involved to assist us in a resolution as not even Hyundai Corporation's case management team can hold this dealership accountable to a reasonable timeline. This was our first time purchasing a Hyundai and needless to say it will be our last. As for managements response, I left several messages for the service manager and asked to speak with the general manager. Here are the notes I took while my accessories were installed on my Santa Cruz. 2/20/2025 Time 730am Day One Greeted by Service Rep Tre' Preston Asked what I had930 ordered from the Parts Department and from the Salesman. I told him I purchased the tow hatch and electrical harness from the Parts Department and the Pickup bed side rails and running board when I purchased the vehicle from the Salesman. About 30 minutes went by and he asked me the same questions again. Where the side rails and running board ordered when I purchased the vehicle, yes, they were, I told him. 930am Checked the status of my vehicle. The service rep said they had to verify with the parts department and with the salesman that everything was in and paid for, it was. The service rep provided me a lyft ride to my house because he said it was going to take most of the day to install the accessories, I arrived home at 950am. It is now 230pm and no word, text, email, or call about the status of my vehicle. Texted service rep at 245pm nothing. It is now 330pm no word from the service department or rep It is now 5pm so I called the Salesman and asked him to check on my vehicle. Amazing right after that the Service rep called. Picked up the vehicle at 6pm they had installed Roof Rack not the pickup side rails as ordered and checked on twice. I was informed at this time the Roof Racks would be $600.00. The most expensive ones I could find on Amazon where $189.00, not happy. But I did not want the mounting marks left on the Roof rails when they removed them. So, I told the Service Manager to leave them, and he said he would give a good deal on the Roof Racks, he did not. 2/21/2025 Time 730am Day Two Arrived a Werner Hyundai Service Center at 730am and was told again Mechanic's do not arrive until 8am, so why am I here at 730am. My vehicle was finally moved to the install bay at 830am. The side rails were installed and completed at 1020am. The Service Manager came and got me at that time to settle up the bill. The Roof Racks were $650 and the Labor to put on the tow hatch was $350. The Parts Department had told me the labor was included when I purchased the tow hatch, need I say more. It has been an unbelievable day and a half dealing with the Werner Hyundai Service Center in Tallahassee Florida. I left this out, the Service Manager did reduce the price a $100.00 on the Roof rack and tow hack installed. Hands down the worse Service Center, I've ever done business with and to make matters worse this was my first time doing business with them, just sad. I do not expect anything free. After reading over some of the other reviews, I realized it's just easier to agree with them than to type out all of my problem. Let's just state that they have had it for a little over two weeks for a brake job and recall item. The first week wasn't too bad (about three days longer than necessary). They got my car back to me. Seems the recall item may have been repaired, but when I tried to drive it the next day, the brakes were as bad as when I had my car towed originally to them. So I called them back. Their first question was did I want get it towed back to them. I said well, I want you to have it towed. So the next morning they came, got my car, and that was the last that I saw of it. I called them Sunday and again Monday, leaving messages to go ahead with the $2,000+ fix they explained it needed (brakes cost me $890). I have to have the car, so I told them to go ahead and fix it. I did receive one call-back, with no message. I need my car! It's the only transportation I have, and we do not live where I can use the bus service. I love my car, but I hate their service department. Had a similar situation a couple years ago. They get it, and you never hear from them until they get around to fixing it. UPDATE: Chris was supposed to call me as soon as the part came in to fix my vehicle immediately. I called today to find out the part has been sitting up there since last week, and no-one called me to set up to have it installed. Chris made us suffer in the heat extra time, for no reason. We will never be purchasing another vehicle from Werner, and we had planned on buying another hybrid or electric. We will take our business where our concerns and safety are cared for as a Family. ----- If I could leave negative stars, I would. I will also be reporting this service center to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for their treatment of Customers and my vehicle. I have tried to work this out with the shop using other methods, and nothing has worked. We got into a wreck in April of this year, and it caused an issue with our AC. Werner Hyundai was working with another local body shop to fix our car (since Hyundai is the only one that can work on Ioniqs, so we were told), and we thought everything was fine. Since April, our AC goes out every couple of weeks because of a reoccurring issue from the wreck that has not been fully resolved. We have had to take it back to Werner 4 times, now...and they have charged our hybrid vehicle, put more freon in, and tightened a line on the condenser to try to fix it. None of that has worked to fix our AC issue, and it's been one of the hottest Summers. I also have two small children and I'm disabled, Werner knows this. In the past while we were waiting for it to be fixed, the other local shop they were working with graciously supplied a rental car while Hyundai was fixing our vehicle, even though now it's my understanding that should have been on Werner to do. Werner, however, NEVER has loaner cars. Please be advised of that... WERNER NEVER HAS LOANER CARS FOR SERVICES CUSTOMERS! This time, when we called because our AC was having the same issue losing freon, Hyundai refused to supply a loaner car, or even try to go through a 3rd party to supply one...and was extremely rude to me when I suggested it should be their responsibility. Even when I told them I have an out of town appointment, and they know I'm disabled, they shrugged me off as if it was not their problem. I have been without a fully working AC since April, and it is now September. Now, after months of stating otherwise, Hyundai claims the AC issue is not related to the wreck, can't be billed to insurance, and they are doing us a favor by paying for the part (a line for the condenser)...even though we know that's not true. It's very suspicious that they claim this, now, after working on it 3 separate times that didn't resolve the issue. Up until now, they pushed blame on the other local shop that worked on my car...but when they couldn't do that, now they claim it wasn't related to the wreck. I'm 100% sure it's to avoid responsibility for their failure. Completely unprofessional and inexcusable behavior from Chris at Hyundai. We have had much more pleasant experiences in the past with other service managers...but not with Chris specifically. Where do I start? It takes a lot for me to go out of my way to leave a bad review and I tried to give them time to make it right but no one there seems to care. So here goes... I made an appointment 5 weeks out for the AM because that was the earliest available and supposedly having an appointment helps. (IT DOES NOT) The Service Advisor (Jason) greeted me. I told him my Water Pump is leaking and that I have a new Genuine OEM Hyundai Water Pump for you guys to replace it with. He says no worries. I tell him I will wait. In my head, I'm thinking 4 hours tops and especially with an Appointment being made 5 weeks ago. As I am waiting I notice many of the Service Advisors are just on their phone looking at videos online. I see the Service Manager (Phil) has his office right near where customers wait. You can hear him on the phone clear as day, curse words and all. One of his employees comes to stand at his door and now he is cursing up a storm. N-word this and F that. He is telling the Manager that if a co-worker keeps talking to him he is going to fight him. Keep in mind there are many others waiting and surely hearing all of this too. The door wasn't shut, he didn't tell him to stop and he was actually chuckling a bit over the whole ordeal. Now I'm thinking okay, this place is a sh*t show. It's been FOUR hours, let me go up to my Service Advisor (Jason) and get an update on my car. He goes to the back and then comes back to me. He says "Yep, your car is going to need that new water pump put in". What?! So for the last FOUR hours, with an appointment, no one was working on my car? I supplied the Water Pump and after FOUR hours of sitting there I am told exactly what I already know? Jason tells me it will be 3+ more hours. At this point, what choice do I have? A couple hours later I am asked to go to the back because the mechanic wants to show me something. It turns out that the prior shop that worked on my car a couple of years back did not install something properly. I am told they will get me a LYFT home because they will need more time. Mind you, it has been SEVEN hours and it is a 3 hour labor job. They tell me it will be done around lunch the next day. I didn't get my car back until about 4PM the next day and even then I had to reach out a couple of times to check in on it. I actually lost out on $250 of my own work that afternoon because I had no transportation, when I thought I would. With all of this said, I still was not going to leave this bad review. I was going to chalk it up as a bad experience but move on with my life. But wait, it gets better! A shuttle driver comes to pick me up. I arrive at Hyundai. I pay the huge costs for a fairly simple job that turned into a fiasco. My Service Advisor (Jason) says he will bring the car around front for me. It took longer than expected. He says "Sorry about that, you were blocked in and I had to find someone to move the car that was in front of you". No worries. I get in the car and drive down the street to a Walgreens. As soon as I get out of my car I notice the license plate and its frame is mangled. As I look even closer, I see scratches, dings and small dents on my bumper. I immediately take pictures/videos and send them to Jason in a text AND an email. No response! I remember the shuttle driver texted me his ETA earlier in the day, so I texted him. He responds! He says "Jason already forwarded your email to the service manager". This is the same service manager (Phil) that has NEVER responded to any email in the history of me reaching out and clearly has issues after reading some of these other reviews. BUT in my head this is different, one of his employees damaged my car! It has to be on camera and we have an exact window of when it could have been. This will be easy to get to the bottom of. NOPE! It has been 2 weeks and no one will respond to me or has even reached out to me. I even tried to reach out to the COO (Rick Gladwell). Service department is not good. Average wait time for an oil change WITH AN APPOINTMENT is 3 hours. Went yesterday for 30'000 mile service. Asked twice to please rotate tires. Waited 3 hours and was finally told service was done. When I got home, I noticed my tires HAD NOT been rotated!! I have one tire that is a different brand and it was in the same position as when I went in for service. Called the service department and was told service manager had "stepped out" but would return my call. When no call ocurred, I called back and was told the service department was closed! Now I wonder if they EVER rotate my tires??! Or change the oil??? read more

I'm new to Tallahassee and was going to go here to buy a new car and trade in my Tucson but after reading these horrendous reviews I will pick another brand car and go elsewhere. My previous dealer in Clearwater, Fl was awesome. Sounds like their service department is especially awful. I only saw ONE good review on here and that is very unacceptable. read more

If you have a choice, go somewhere else. I can't speak about the sales department, but the service department is terrible. It is very unorganized. Communication within the department is abysmal. Want to leave a message for your advisor? Good luck. Waiting to hear from your advisor? Good luck. Forget about asking someone to do something that is not their specific responsibility. That's not their job! And don't even think about complaining to the service manager, because he will just blame others (maybe even you) for their problems. Fortunately for them, there are no other Hyundai dealerships within 100 miles. If they had any competition, they would be out of business in six months. i recently purchased my third vehicle from Werner. We thought it would be an easy transaction as we knew what we wanted, had history and were extremely upfront about our needs and wants. WRONG!! We were immediately hassled by phone after the test drive. We came back to trade my Kona NLine towards a Santa Cruz. He took my keys, made an insulting offer and I had to yell to get my keys returned. I paid off my car and we came back to get the Santa Cruz. We were told that the vehicle we wanted couldn't be sold because they changed it to a "loaner." It has not been used as a loaner but no sale. We had to wait for one coming from Sarasota. The deal was just ok but I was told 4000 times to give a 5-star review or my sales person will be penalized by losing 10% of his commission. Then I discovered that a $2500 fee for extended warranty was added to my last car without my knowledge. i stopped feeling sorry for my salesperson. If he chooses to work within that toxic environment, he gets what he has accepted as ok. Now I understand why they beg for good ratings. read more

SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, avoid this place! If I can give this place a 0, I would! Worst customer service! I bought a Genesis G80 from this place 2 years ago, and my experience made me trade that car in, so I won't have to deal with them again! The service department is absolute disaster! Poor customer service. I've emailed the GM on multiple occasion but I don't think he cares.... Poorly ran establishment! To top it off, when I had my G80 valet serviced.... The guy driving it was racing down a school zone, resulting in me getting fined a speeding ticket. I have to appear in court to contest it. Wish me luck! Please avoid this place! Customer service is horrible. The finance managers, Colleen and Marion, have been extremely unpleasant on multiple occurrences. This is not a place I recommend doing business with. This entire process of purchasing a first car has been a nightmare from our salesperson Mary to the manager Michael Ward. As much as we'd like to purchase the car, it wasn't worth the negative experience. Not all dealerships are this bad. We bought the same car for a great price at Braman Hyundai and it was a much better experience. read more
