Customer service and communication could be improved. Scheduled a lesson over the phone for me and…read moremy wife and was excited to take a lesson after seeing the great reviews but unfortunately we caught the flu and woke up in the morning feeling like crap and my wife was bed ridden. I texted the instructor or owner, Kim, asking if we can reschedule because we still wanted to take the class. Received no response, so I made a courtesy call to provide a notice and was received by Kim,to my surprise I was met with the response of "no you can't reschedule" after explaining to him that we were very sick and how can he expect us to show up when we don't feel well. His next response was "I need a 24 hour notice" I'm sorry Kim but the human body doesn't work that way. I told Kim that I'm willing to still come in myself but Im very sick and was being courteous as I do not want to get him sick. That's when his tone changed and agreed to a reschedule. Thanks for offering the reschedule but no thanks. There was never a mention about a 24 hour notice over the phone, and do you really want potential customers who are sick coughing in your face? I guess customer customer service is not a priority, so I will take my business elsewhere.

Now I'm getting up there in years and bequeathed these magnificent beauties (both with sounds that far surpass a Martin) to a young guitarist who lives next door. My friend visited Jim and the guys at the Guitar Shoppe to get appraisals and I guess when the guys opened the cases all work at the Shoppe came to a halt although they knew Kirk's work and attention to detail still these guitars well deserve the awe that was expressed as to the level of Kirk's craftsmanship. The guitars appraised well, which surprised my friend but wasn't much of a surprise to me at all. Thank you Jim and your guys for giving my friend a great afternoon and me the pleasure of seeing his excitement with the guitars and my peace of mind knowing that they both now reside with someone worthy of now owning them. If you are lucky enough in life, you run into an amazing professional who inspires you and…read moreencourages you to grow. In this case, there are two of them: Tommy Davy of djangoguitars.com and Stephen R. Davy of davy-violins.com. This father son dynamic duo of luthier/musicians is absolutely the best of the best, recognized worldwide for their skill and talent. Of course they are knowledgeable. What may be less known to people is just how welcoming, down to earth, and helpful they are when you work with them - no matter what your level or ability. I have been a professional musician on and off for over thirty years. Admittedly, it has been more off than on for the last decade (plus). I am trying to learn the difficult and ornate Manouche Jazz style of guitar made famous by Django Reinhardt (which Tommy specializes in). It's still very early for me in this pursuit. In short, as a client, I'm the worst of two worlds... I'm super rusty AND a newbie! But, that didn't matter to Tommy and Stephen Davy. They treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism from first contact via text messages through to well after the sale and work being done. They treated me like I was a pro who just walked in off tour and needed an instrument and adjustment. They weren't worried about my level except to help assess the best instrument to get me into and music suggestions. Thanks to Tommy, I now have a beautiful new acoustic jazz guitar. He also set it up and has since checked up on whether or not I've been happy with it since I bought it. And, thanks to Stephen, my son's beautiful violin and bow are now playing better than ever and we are enjoying our home music making, anew! Thanks, gentlemen! It is a pleasure to know you. I look forward to buying my next guitar from Tommy. I already have it picked out.

What…read moremakes this store different from a guitar center or any other music store is the experience, yes they have quality gypsy jazz guitars from all price ranges, but when you buy a guitar here Tommy will professionally set it up, unlike any run of the mill music store. When it comes to normal stores they will just hand you a unfinished guitar. The whole experience at DjangoGuitars.com was great! Stephen also helped me decide and made it clear what guitar to get when it came to buying them. Then Tommy professionally adjusted the Frets, added a new hardware, adjusted the bridge and many more services you would not get out of a regular guitar store. If you are looking at getting a gypsy jazz guitar I recommend going here. There is no reason not to go here. If you are not buying a guitar here you are losing money; going here was like winning the lottery, you get good service great people, great prices and a new guitar. If you want more reviews, check out Jon's page on google. This is the same review i left there…read more Jon is a genuine master of the craft. As an engineer by trade, he approaches guitars with that same precision and attention to detail. When I brought my electric in, he didn't just jump into adjustments -- he evaluated the whole instrument first: the materials, the condition, the setup, and what I was hoping to improve. He carefully inspected everything from fret wear and neck curvature to pickup height and electronics, then clearly explained his assessment and game plan before starting any work. What really stood out is how much he genuinely cares about getting it right. My guitar came back playing better than it ever has -- smoother, cleaner, and perfectly set up. Skip the guitar center that charge $150 for a quick nut replacement and take your guitar to Jon instead. You'll be in great hands. I'll definitely be bringing the rest of my guitars to him.
