I don't normally write reviews, but after nearly a decade of lessons, I can honestly say she has been such a wonderful part of our daughter's life. She has a great sense for choosing music that is enjoyable while still challenging our daughter and helping her grow. I especially appreciate how she knows when to encourage her to move forward and when not to push too hard. She has helped our daughter build her skills and confidence without ever making piano feel stressful or overwhelming. Most importantly, she is kind, patient, and genuinely cares about our daughter. It's clear how much she loves her students, and my daughter absolutely loves her in return. We are so grateful for the years of encouragement, patience, and care she has given our daughter and for the role she has played in her musical journey.

She's been teaching in Orange County since 1982 and really knows how to keep students motivated without being pushy. My family has seen kids who used to fight practice start looking forward to lessons, and adults who thought they were "too late" actually progress. Clear instruction, good musicianship, and she does in-home lessons which is a huge plus. Highly recommend for anyone in RSM / South OC.

We're so grateful to Teacher Joe for his patience, guidance, and encouragement along the way. The front desk staff are also friendly and helpful. Whenever we've had scheduling conflicts, they've been very flexible about helping us reschedule lessons, which we really appreciate. The school holds two concerts each year, giving every student a chance to perform on stage and build confidence. The recent concert at Carnegie Hall in New York was especially memorable--an experience my child will treasure for a lifetime. It gave my child even more motivation to keep practicing and growing as a musician. We've had such a wonderful experience here, and I would happily recommend this school to everyone I know!

We had a poor experience from start to end unfortunately…read more I had called and left three voicemails over the span of two weeks, different days and different times. I never got a call back, and I decided to try once more where I finally got someone and booked a session. (Our other local music school was relocating farther from us, and my daughter really wanted lessons.) Our lessons were.. okay. They didn't always start promptly and they were usually in tiny, hot rooms big enough for one small folding chair (plus instrument and standing student with teacher). We tried it out for a couple months and it was not for us. When canceling, they assured me it would be okay, but of course they continued to charge us the following months. I called, and again no return messages. I called again, spoke to someone and they said James would call me back, but not a word since two weeks ago. I had to dispute the charges with my card, but save yourself the effort I went through and seek lessons elsewhere.

I needed an instrument rental for my son and Betrand's was recommended to me by a friend. It was…read moresuch an easy and stress-free process. Just choose the instrument, the condition, and size if applicable. Add insurance to make things worry free, sign the contract, and you are done. If you go directly to Betrand's (not by link), they have a great deal where you can rent for 9 months and get 1 month free. That's enough for the school year. The instruments they rent out are the real deal. Not the cheap imitations you see on Amazon. A couple of days later, I get a call from Kira letting me know my rental is processed and ready to be picked up. The location is convenient and has ample parking. We get to the store and see that they are very well organized and knowledgeable. I may have paid a bit more per month than going through IPSF but it's 100% worth it. IPSF is a waste of time and they are not organized. What IPSF does is have you keep checking with them over and over again. Like others have mentioned, Bertrand's is a breath of fresh air. Pro-Tip: Don't use the link provided by IPSF. Deal directly with Bertrand's. There is zero hook up with the IPSF link.

I texted the instructor or owner, Kim, asking if we can reschedule because we still wanted to take the class. Received no response, so I made a courtesy call to provide a notice and was received by Kim,to my surprise I was met with the response of "no you can't reschedule" after explaining to him that we were very sick and how can he expect us to show up when we don't feel well. His next response was "I need a 24 hour notice" I'm sorry Kim but the human body doesn't work that way. I told Kim that I'm willing to still come in myself but Im very sick and was being courteous as I do not want to get him sick. That's when his tone changed and agreed to a reschedule. Thanks for offering the reschedule but no thanks. There was never a mention about a 24 hour notice over the phone, and do you really want potential customers who are sick coughing in your face? I guess customer customer service is not a priority, so I will take my business elsewhere.
