Artemis Spa I had…read morebooked an hour massage each for my best friend and me. We were given a survey to answer questions which would determine the massage we would each get. This was done easily by email and We got different massages. When we got there, they were very welcoming. We didn't even have time to sit down before they called our names, into the lightly lit room. The staff made us very comfortable, and gave us each specific yet easy to follow directions. Each masseuse had us undress to our comfort level, w towels and comfortable beds. They also Give us plenty of time to do so and then knocked and requested to come in when it was time. At first I was concerned that 60 minutes would be way too long in that I might get bored or restless, but that was definitely not the case. I have many physical issues, as does my best friend, and It was strange when he started to massage me because it didn't feel like he was really doing anything. sometimes just kind of like lifting up my hip a couple inches or my shoulder but it really did feel better afterwards. Tony really did seem to do something in manipulating or massaging my hip and shoulder. I can't tell you enough how wonderful this massage was. It was never painful, and Tony asked me several times if the pressure was OK. Which it was. He was very appropriate and I would highly recommend Tony at Artemis spa. I've had many massages and none have come even close to what I would call a medical massage. Not chiropractic, but just perfect touching in every place anyway. We both had different massages that were based upon our survey as I said earlier and we were both extremely pleased and both agree that these were the best massages we had ever had. The surroundings are modern, clean and calming I have to firstly think Tony for the best massage I've ever had. Secondly I have to apologize greatly for the dirty feet and I unknowingly had. I had on sandals and had been walking through the wet park earlier. I couldn't give this place 100 stars so I have to settle with five stars on Yelp, but I would definitely advise that you go here. On a sidenote we have been staying at the Reynolds mansion. I cannot attest for their masseuse as we had booked with her but she was on vacation that week. It is a little difficult to find if you're not from the area but it's definitely worth it.

The atmosphere is very inviting, with relaxing music and comfy furniture. The staff was very welcoming, and had me fill out a questionnaire about my skin and any concerns I had. They walked me to the locker room area, which was full of complimentary skin and body products. Everything was extremely clean. They provide a plush robe and fuzzy socks which I loved. Rebecca took the time before we started to understand my skin type, concerns, allergies, and my expectations for the session. She was very professional and did a fantastic job with massage, steam, applying products, treating my acne spots and easily extracted the clogged pores and milia I had. I didn't have any brow or lip waxing but it was offered. She provided advice and suggestions about my skincare products and answered my questions about future facial services. I had a wonderful time and left feeling pampered and happy. I paid for the service on my card and left a cash tip, since I didn't see the option to add it to the card. I also used my Happy Valley VIP membership (free!) for their "buy one service get one equal or lesser value free" to use at my next appointment. Great job ESSPA!

Also, the entire time I was in there, the salt room, there were people just outside the door, laughing and talking. I wanted peace but all I heard was several women chatting it up, laughing,...And I mean,,,clear as day. On top of all that, part of my experience was to include red light therapy. I have a red light at home. You can't cover it up. They tried to tell me that there was a blanket over the red light therapy in that room. Red light therapy cannot have a blanket over it. I think that there was no red light therapy in the salt room. And they're charging you for things you aren't getting that they don't even have available in the salt room. I really don't think they will be around long. The whole experience was terrible, from not being able to relax due to the loud people outside the door, to the things I paid for but didn't get, to the fact that she outride lied to my face about there being red light there in that room. I do know they have red light therapy elsewhere, but it honestly came down to feeling like she was Nick and diamond and trying to get money for things.

Paige did my facial and people are still commenting on my skins weeks later (I purchased a sunscreen lotion and a facial mask to continue the results). This spa has a wonderful mineral spring bath! The bathing experience is included when you book a spa service. There are separate mens and womens baths. Step 1 - Deluge shower- bigger and better than any home shower. The one I used was nice and clean and very powerful without hurting me. There is an eco-friendly large bottle of body wash and of course great towels everywhere. Step 2 - steam room 15 minutes to sit, enjoy the aromatherapy and rid yourself of toxins. Step 3 mineral bath - with or without jets (they are on a 15 minute timer and I enjoyed the water almost as much still as bubbling! Perfect temperature and again the bath was very clean. Step 4 - it took me a second visit but I did get in this one. It's a "cold pool" - at 75 degrees it was cold without being shocking and in the end I was glad I did it. The quiet room is LOVELY and comfortable with ample chaise lounges that face the garden, another person or a pretty view. Delicious snacks and hot tea with staff to assist and answer questions. There is also a lovely quiet garden with chaise lounges but it was hot so I didn't go outside. It definitely adds to the view from inside! I would highly recommend the spa and hope to return! Due to restrictions on cell phones (yeah!!!!) and the fact that it's like taking pictures in a bathroom I do not have any photos.
