I've tried hairstylists at both ends of the price spectrum and have ended up feeling disappointed. Jess started with a consultation and then washed my hair in preparation for my cut. Can you believe I went to a pricier place in town and they skipped this step?! Sheesh, it's like part of the whole haircutting experience. (I'm sure there is a technical reason for this step too.) My hair was cut in about 20-25 mins. and she spent about another 15 mins. styling it for me. I thought she did an excellent job and appreciated that she listened to my concerns about using the razor (scissors). All in all, I got a great cut at a reasonable price ($40) and time! Although Jess seems young, she is confident and skilled. I noticed that she was very meticulous about how she did everything. That made me feel like she cared about her work and has high standards.
