Terrible just Terrible! I ordered a tea with a baconator guess what? The man window said pull to the front I said okay I was the only one there and he asked Me to window I thought who else was there? The food was mediocre at best!! I counted 8 employees behind the counter. I had a decent size order so I do not expect it to be ready in 10 minutes but I understand why they are not efficient at all!! You have 3 of these employees right outside the side door smoking with the door open so the smoke was coming back into the restaurant!! Never mind the fact it is illegal to smoke inside in the city of Sumter!! They came back in and I watched them all go back to work, they NEVER washed their hands!!!!!!! 2 cars parked not using the drive through but blocking it so these said employees can just go out and loiter, while the drivers of these vehicles were having a picnic on the trunks of their cars!! Fry cook couldn't work for being on her phone!! It took a little over 20 minutes for my food to be ready! I am not as aggravated at that as I am if other protocols had been followed! I haven't been to Wendy's in a long time because of terrible experiences but decided to try it again tonight. Not sure how many strikes are going to be given?!?! Went to Wendy's there were no forks and I ordered a salad. And there no napkins and I had 2 children. I went into bathroom to get paper towels. I had to keep asking for items to complete our order. The cashier did not smile say thank you are anything. Most of the workers were just casually walking around and there were people waiting for at least 10-15 minutes for food. Would give it a negative if I could. Service is slow and poor customer service. Take the extra time and drive to the one on Broad St or somewhere else. I stop by today hoping service changed but was wrong. Was given the wrong meal. So I brought it back. I ordered chicken sandwich but was given a burger. On September 8 2019 at 9:00 pm my family and I decided to go to Wendy's the one located on 216 E Hampton Ave, Sumter, SC 29150. Well the young lady at the first window was great. When my we got to the second window, the young lady was horrible. She got an attitude because my husband asked for more ketchup. She only gave him four ketchup packets for two meals. Then when my husband asked her for more ketchup and he even said please, this little witch decides to throw three ketchup packets into his hands. If this is how Wendy's treat paying customers then I am really done. I'm going to tell the owner of Wendy's about this. This is unacceptable and it shall not be tolerated. read more

Just finished getting Wendy's in Sumter SC on S Lafayette Road. At first everything was OKAY. But then my husband ordered a CHOCOLATE frosty. After we paid for it the guy handed us vanilla and said "We forgot to say chocolate machine is broken". Again, AFTER we paid. Then as we were waiting for the rest of our food NONE of the workers had gloves on. I could see that through my mirrors in my car. A worker was texting also. We had a to go order and there were no napkins , fork for my potato or sour cream OR butter for my potato. I had to use my husbands spoon to eat my potato. We had to get back in the drive thru for almost everything. I didn't mention this to the company last night but my husband said his fries tasted like over cooked cardboard that they didn't even add salt. Just plain lazy. Never ever had these kind of issues with the one on broad street. Hope y'all rebuild that building soon !!!! So disappointing that we had to go to the other one. Will never EVER return. Geared up for chili and a baked potato on this cold afternoon. Came in about 2 hours ago. The drive thru was backed up and after standing in line for about 10 minutes (seeing others waiting for orders), left without ordering so I could make my appointment. Walked in 15 minutes ago, still geared up for that chili. Nobody in the dining room. Drive thru backed up. Still took over 10 minutes to get my food. Frustrating thing was seeing what looked like 4 employees with some seniority standing in the back, chatting and doing nothing to help the 2 girls up front who were handling lobby and drive thru. I visit Wendy's on East Hampton quite a bit, The drive through is always backed up and the wait is generally long as well. On 10/20 I pulled into the line at approx 5:15 and it was backed up as usual. When I got to the window the gentlemen asked how i was and i said to him its been a long wait out here and he got very defensive. He said to me that some one at the drive through had a fifty dollar order. I replied that maybe they should have been asked to come inside to wait on that. He said to me rudely how you gonna blame us for that, I wasn't rude to him just simply registered a valid complaint. I phoned back next day and asked to speak to the manager. The gentlemen that came to the phone sounded very familiar to me. To my surprise he was the manager of the store. He was also the one that spoke to me rudely at the window the day before. he let me know that if a customer comes off rude to him,,,he gives it right back to them. I said to him you are the manager you are supposed to make sure that the customer is heard. You are to tell the customer Mam I am sorry for the delay and apologize for any inconvenience to you. If, the manager in this store feels as if it is ok to be rude to the customer then I dread what the other employees think. He was also rude to me as I even tried to talk to him on the phone. I simply hung up the phone because I was getting no where with him. Now that was rude but he left me no choice. I will not be visiting this store again. read more
