We were the first ones in the store as it opened for the day, one employee said we couldn't come into the dining room, that we had to go to the drive thru, they didn't have enough employees to open. Another came as we were leaving and told us we could come into the dining room. We did, as we were giving our order there was a party of 10 that came in behind us. We gave our order of chicken nuggets, fries, and a crispy chicken sandwich. The group behind us was served before we were. Some had ordered the same as we did. We waited for about twenty minutes, finally my daughter told them we wanted our food or our money back. Come to find out our food was sitting on a table behind the counter. Naturally the nuggets and fries were cold. Air conditioner dripped on our table. They did give us each a curtsy SMALL frosty. That didn't compensate for the service or our inconvenience. Wendy's corporate desperately needs to help this location. Nearly 90 mins in drive through and order was still not quite right (missing burgers, extra drinks). We thought this might be due to a nationwide labor shortage, but other fast food restaurants 15-20 mins away never had this issue. If 0 was an option, this store would deserve it! Where to even begin LOL! For starters, you are only allowed in the lobby area certain times during the day, and the MINIMUM time you'll wait in the drive thru is 45 minutes. The employees also very loud and proud about how much they dislike their job. If you really dislike your job, quit. It's that simple, everywhere is hiring! The girl that took my order was extremely friendly. Then the guy that took my money was kind and conversational. While waiting in the dining room for our food we had great entertainment from the servers yelling F bombs at each other while one server nonchalantly licked her fingers walking through the kitchen. All the crew at least gave us a cheery greeting despite the fact they are on the front lines of essential right behind our health care providers. Nobody wore a mask, however, certainly a great risk to them. The Food: This site opened in only the last year but the attraction for the review is they are still serving drive-thru. Thanks to the pandemic, supply lines remain snarled enough we didn't know if shortcomings came from careless crew or pipeline shortages. Wendy's has offered breakfast nationally only in the last year, so this was also our first test of it. All of our food items we purchase came up hot and savory. Several items seemed out, however. We particularly wanted to taste the Honey Chicken Biscuit which proved impossible. Out of biscuits, which also cut the options out for Sausage, Egg & Cheese; Bacon Egg & Cheese; Sausage Gravy & Biscuit; and Sausage Biscuits. This was only at 9:30 AM so it seemed early for a "sold out" sign. We settled for Sausage. Egg & Cheese on a hamburger bun. I am a big fan of croissant's so I ordered a Bacon, Egg & Swiss Croissant. All of the eggs tasted moist and looked like eggs instead of like molded scrambled eggs available elsewhere. The croissant sadly resembled nothing so much as a brioche, tasty but missing only the buttery crunch of a croissant. (Thinking I hadn't ordered a croissant, I looked for a receipt to confirm order accuracy but there was none.) We did try a Baconator for a pandemic treat and the dripping goodness sold me on a return visit. I ordered a hot coffee with cream and sugar and by the time we got on the road discovered it came black with no additives and tasted burned. (I still think burning coffee should be impossible.) I remember how so many of us waited with great anticipation the opening of this place, but my opinion, and that of many of my friends, has gone straight downhill from then. The last time, about a month ago, I went through the drive-through, I waited in line for several minutes. Then I got to the order point and was kept waiting about 10 more minutes while they apparently struggled with their technology. When they finally ask for my order, I requested a baked potato and was informed that they had no potatoes ready and it would be several more minutes! Needless to say, I drove off without ordering. Tonight, I gave them another chance and got in the long line of cars -- I don't understand their continued popularity -- but quickly realized the line wasn't moving at all. I left. Iv'e yet to have a pleasant experience at this Wendy's. We ordered ahead on the app thinking we could run through the drive through and pick it up. No we waited in line for at least 45 minutes. We then had to tell the staff at the drive through window to unlock the door for the other employee who was needing in after their smoke break, not to mention they always blame it on being short staffed, but continue to have their smoke breaks and move slowly and carelessly. The dining room is almost always closed. On another visit we attempted to use the touch screen kiosk to order on and it wouldn't work but after sitting there putting in our order for 5 minutes the staff yelled at us and said the dining room is closed yet the door was unlocked. Once again on another visit we got to the window and we ordered a chocolate frosty but when we got to the window the lady told us that they were out of chocolate and only had strawberry yet she had already made it and still made us pay for it with no hesitation, absolutely ridiculous!! read more
