I'm constantly holding out hope this Wendy's will raise its standards and I am constantly left disappointed. The drink machine only had only few beverage choices and nothing you'd actually want. When I asked the manager to get me a drink from the drive thru dispenser, she seemed put out and did not even apologize for the dining room machine being down. The bread tasted stale. I just got home with my order of nuggets meal and a cookie. For starters, they only had spicy nuggets (good thing I'm okay with that), I asked for a strawberry lemonade with my meal and was not notified that the machine was down. I got to the window and received a Minute Maid instead. The fries were OLD, the nuggets were rubbery and OLD, the cookie was so hard that it fell apart like a Natures Valley bar! I have noticed that when the younger employees are working, the work quality is trash. I would not recommend anyone stop here, there are other places near by. Stopped here for the first time the other day. The young man behind the counter notified me they could not take my order unless I had cash. He went on to inform me that I could use the kiosk to order. I continued on to the machine and began the process. The transaction seemed to go through. However, as soon as I got back to the counter, another employee said it did not work, and that I would have to pay with cash. I did not want to do that, so I left and took my business elsewhere. It seems to me that a conscientious manager (if there is such a thing now days) would have tried the kiosk themselves to determine whether it was down in order to keep from wasting the customers time there. I have since given them another try. I mean we all have a bad day every now and then, right? I arrived around 10:30 AM., and to my surprise, found the doors locked. I wanted to go inside to use the restroom and wash my hands. I had found the restroom reasonably clean and stocked the previous occasion. I thought well they've closed the place down, (something sure to happen if the disfunction continues), anyway, there were a couple of cars in the parking lot, so I got back in my truck and drove around to the window. They said the night shift manager had the key and that they couldn't unlock the doors. They asked if I wanted to order at the window. I asked if they could take the card, they said they could. Somewhat concerned about the level of care in food preparation, I opted to go somewhere else instead. I mean what kind of hamburger is one going to receive from an establishment that can't even open their doors to the public, and seems to be having issues daily? This place either needs to close down or just completely clean house. The food I got here was cooked terribly. They also seemed to have just dumped salt on everything. After waiting in line for a few minutes the cashier walks back to speak to someone making a hamburger and then returns to tell us in line that we would need to wait 5 minutes to order our food so they can get caught up on their orders. I just wanted a quick meal, hot burger, nuggets, something. My husband just wanted a Frosty. We get neither. First, they had no regular nuggets, just spicy. I had a small burger that was like cardboard on a stale bun that was hard on one side. There was no sweet tea, or unsweet tea, for that matter. There wasn't a hair net in sight and a few pair of gloves, but not everyone handling food wore gloves. We ended up having to wait an hour and 20 minutes to get our food through the drive thru. We had made a mobile order prior to going there, so it was already paid for, so we couldn't go elsewhere. Once we finally got up to the pickup window, we were told to go park in a parking spot and they would bring it right out, 20 minutes later someone walked out of the restaurant, looked around and went back in. They didn't even try to look where they told us to park. I noticed while driving by a couple of days ago that there were cars in the drive through. I noticed today that the now open signs were on the street. Not sure if I just missed them before. We stopped in a little after they opened at 10:30 today (Sunday). The store is clean of course, and there is plenty of parking. The young lady who waited on us was obviously trying to do everything but prep sandwiches (counter, drive through, fries, etc). She apologized because she was waiting on some associates who had not arrived yet. She did a great job of handling multiple stations at once. The food was delivered (to go) quickly and when I got home everything was correct.
