Went to Wendy's on High Street and I'm someone who usually ignores bad reviews. But I was hungry, so I took a chance. Big mistake. I placed an order for a 4-piece nugget and fries at 4:32 PM, only for it to get routed to a Philly location. I pull up to the drive-thru, explain the issue, and get nothing no apology, no solution, not even the courtesy of a manager coming to the window. The rep had zero interest in fixing it, even after I told him I come from a customer service background and understand what good service looks like. He didn't care. Restaurant served us two burgers with stale buns that we discovered mid eating were also moldy. Nothing kills an appetite like eating mold. They also gave us a wrong drink. I'm told I must have a star rating in order for my review to post. If I had a choice, my rating would NOT include any star. Wendy's on High Street in Pottstown will never be used by me again. Went to drive thru today and my order was given to a rude person. By the time I got to the second window to pay and obtain my items (5 min wait), the food was absolutely horrible. The burger had wilted lettuce with barely a slice of tomato. The roll did not cover the condiments as all items were falling off. The french fries were all blackened on the tips. This was not an acceptable meal for my ill husband. I threw it out. And the lid was not tight on the beverage and it spilled in the car!! NOT HAPPY. I would go to Burger King or McDonald's before ever going to Wendy's again. The statement below is not very customer orientated... "You're rolling now"... What? Saw an ad for the new bacon mozzarella burger so I figure I'd try it. So I headed over at dinner time. Typical Wendy's restaurant. Uninviting. Kind of dirty. A few employees milling around behind the counter, indifferent to the fact that I was there and about to pay some of their salary. No hello. I'm not expecting a wet sloppy kiss when I come in but hello would be nice. I order the aforementioned burger but decide on a baked potato instead of fries. We had a small conversation where I mentioned clearly that I only wanted butter and chives. Paid the bill and she immediately goes to the fryer to get me an order of fries. I got her attention and she proceeded to fill the order correctly. So I sit down with my daughter, who got a salad. I open the box for the burger and it appears the bun is dark and nearly burnt on the top. However, the young hipsters who build the Wendy's menu clearly know more about what I want than me. This is one of the bullshit brioche buns, Wendy's style. Not a true brioche to say the least. The sandwich was not very flavorful. Bacon was overcooked and the thin slice of cheese was insufficient to add any flavor. I'll assume that they've found a cheese supplier who has managed to defy a law of physics in order to cut such an amazingly thin slice of cheese. My advice to Wendy's: go back to regular old hamburger rolls for all your sandwiches. Darkened brioche is too overpowering for such a bland sandwich. And who are you trying to kid when you say "artisan roll"... you're a fast food hamburger joint. Overall for the burger, 1 star and that is being generous. So my daughter gets 2/3 through her salad and finds a dead fly. I take it up to show them. No "sorry" and just barely any acknowledgement. I'll assume from their lack of empathy that this happens so often the kids working there aren't even surprised by it anymore. Got the salad replaced and it was fine. If I want fast food I should just stick to Chik-Fil-A where the employees at least show genuine interest in you when you walk in the door. I see that some fast food restaurants are replacing some of their front end people with electronic ordering kiosks. Good idea in this case. Even though this Wendy's location was recently redone, and it looks very nice now, it's service has not changed. I might say it's even worse. They need to find new employees or a better manager. I ordered 4 for $4. The woman behind the counter looked at her screen and I thought she was trying to figure out how to put it in even though they have had this on the menu for quite awhile. A man standing at the counter waiting for his food said "They don't have 4 for $4 anymore. At least that's what she told me, even though it's still on the menu." I looked at her for confirmation. She just looked back at me, waiting, I guess for me to order something else. She didn't greet me or ask what I wanted or confirm what the man said. I don't recall her uttering a single word.
