The menu is simple, the portions are HUGE, the prices are right, and most importantly--the food is done right. I went with the Bourbon Glaze Burger, a 12-ounce burger cooked medium-rare, with crinkle-cut fries. At $13, the burger comes with chips, but for just a couple extra bucks I upgraded to the fries. That burger was massive--I could barely finish it! And I left completely full and very happy. My wife ordered the Turkey Reuben, swapping the sauerkraut for coleslaw, along with crinkle-cut fries. Another generous portion and absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Maria, was fantastic. She was super friendly, made some great recommendations, and you can tell she really knows the place. Maria has been there for 14 years, while the restaurant itself has been around for 21 years under the same owners. That says a lot! The restaurant was crowded when we visited, but not completely packed, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. If you're looking for a place with huge portions, reasonable prices, friendly service, and no need for a complicated menu, Sunnyside Grill is worth checking out. For my $13 12-ounce burger, I got way more food than I expected--and that's exactly the kind of hidden gem I love finding. Run, don't walk!
