My last review of this location was vastly different than this one. I didn't re read it, but a few choice expletives did catch my eye and some recollections are coming to me. I think I had an interaction and irritation regarding unreasonable long wait or something. But the food was positively lavished upon. Today is not the case regarding the lane service. In the contrary, it was good and even amusing. Like it when that happens. Today I hoped to find an old favorite that I used to get because it was cheap. The $1 menu or $.99 I think it was, was not offered. But instead a $5 bag which had the Double Stack, fries and drink PLUS Wendy's version of mkNuggets. As well as a selection of sauces. The speaker box listed 4 or so before I lost my attention and just stated I wanted whatever was called spicy. He said something that I didn't register. The price and 2nd window entered my ears and I closed my window. A brief time lapsed and I was soon at the front. My goodies were exchanged for the plastic money symbol I use and after getting my Dr P I was off Being impatient and wanting to hurry up and swallow this whole, I crossed to street to the place I feed my car and started gobbling. OMG! the fake MKNuggets are GD Fn delish! So good that I barely was able to breath and chew at the same time. When the last one was gone I realized I might ought to have tried the sauce. (MCDs sauce sucks so I never bother) But when I pulled out the little sauce pod I read GHOST PEPPER. Holy Sh3t! Score! So my fries were next and in my attempt to balance the now opened sauce pod and grab the fries from the bag, I managed to upend that, spilling fries. Crisis averted, some fries didn't qualify for a 10second ruling. The GP sauce, while certainly falsely labeled, did have a teensy burn, or rather a noticeable sensation of something akin to capsaicin. I'm prone to removing my contact lenses after diving jalapeños or habaneros and merely having to blink a few times, so I might be unqualified to assess this for regular civilians. My wife would call this stuff hot. As if. The burger was sorta Meghh (? Sp?) Not much. But damn, the fries were on par with any good frie, and, well I already proclaimed what was worthy. Wish Wendy's wasn't so inconvenient from home. Or I'd visit her much more often. read more

The new salads are worth a try and I like Baja & Cobb. Get $2 off full-size salad and any W burger after completing survey on back of receipt. I did it and that's how I tried the salad. Worst Wendy's I've been too. Decided to spend some money eating out. I've always loved their spicy nuggets and sandwich. Ordered, everything on the screen was right and then everything in the bag was wrong. They got nothing right. It wasn't even a big order. A simple 2 person meal. Drinks and sandwiches not even close to what we ordered and chicken nuggets coming out cold and obviously old. I call to get a refund and they're refusing to give me my money back. I'm not eating the food you gave me and I'm not driving back in the snow to return food you're going to throw away the same as me. Thank you for being here next to Walmart for our fishing license. Honestly, this was the best place for a quick lunch after our less than stellar dinner at Panera the night before. I had the Mediterranean salad and my wife had the berry salad. My personal favorite was the berry salad but now changed to the Mediterranean salad with their coucous and olives. Went to Wendy's. Drive-through was packed. Tried to go inside and at 3 PM It was closed. I gestured outside through the drive-through window as if maybe they forgot to unlock the door but they rudely yelled at me that the lobby was closed and that I have to go around and wait in the drive-through line. I then called them to speak to someone and someone very rudely answered. I asked for the corporate number right away because I knew I didn't wanna speak to them. They asked for a reason for them to give me the corporate number so I was like if you need a reason, then I'll tell you and apparently it was the same person who is yelling at me through the drive-through window that was on the phone so I asked for a manager turns out she was the manager. This Wendy's has the wrong kind of person working as a manager she should not ever have been made a manager. I'm not sure who the GM is at the store but someone needs to shine a little light on this restaurant for what it really is. This place is really hit or miss. If I'm greeted at the drive through by what sounds like a young lady still in high school then I tend to get pretty decent food. That experience is more common during the day. If I'm first greeted at the drive through by what sounds like an over the top radio personality but then my order is taken by someone who sounds more urban then in my experience I'm better off just driving away. This is the norm if I show up at night. I've reveived %80 of the nuggets that I ordered, gotten burgers that were undercooked and had sandwiches with buns so covered in grease that I gagged and threw them away. As usual I don't blame the employees as much as the management. FInd a way to motivate these people to make food I can eat. Until then I'll be at the Arby's down the street. read more

Usually good service, but get rid of that automatic greeting! This voice that sounds like a real person taking your order tells you to go ahead with your order whenever you are ready. I drive out of my way to avoid this Wendys. There is one next to my house. I stopped by Store #5152 in Madison, WI and John was Awful. This store has been bad in the past, and I've complained and never been responded to even! My fiancée and I tried to walk in at 9:40 to get some take out. He saw us walking up and locked the door. We went through the drive Thru and asked when the inside closed, we were told by John at 10, and it was about that time now so he guessed the drive thru was our only option. We received our food immediately and our chicken nuggets were eaten right away, and cold. One order was almost luke-warm, the other cold. So I can say maybe the $4 combo is good when fresh, but don't bother if you don't trust the Wendys. It would have been nice to see the special, but half the lighting was not functional on the drive-thru. There are plenty of other fast-food options where the food is kept fresh and don't cut corners like closing early to avoid waiting on people. John was very short, and snippy with answers and questions. I highly recommend not visiting Wendys, especially in Madison WI and going to one of the competitors. McDonalds has a whole staff that works diligently to keep the food fresh at least. I remembered after this experience why I drove out of my way to avoid this store.
