They are always rude. Tonight I order food went to pick it up (I live 5 to 7 mins away depending on traffic) I got home and my order was wrong. When I called she was very rude. Told me she made the order herself so I was lying. I loaded all the food up and went back up there. They remade the food and still gave me the wrong order. I asked for a refund and they could keep the food. She said no told me to leave and not come back. I was not rude I say please and thank you but that lady behind the counter was testing me. Awful service! Every time I try to go here and try to place an order, the first thing I hear is "Credit Card Machine" is down. We are only taking cash payments. This happens every time though. I work late so I'm usually there by 10:30-11pm. It says on the door that the drive through is open until midnight. That's one of the reasons I stop by. But the machines are down every night. I think that they're doing this on purpose. They know that the majority of people don't carry cash. They have been doing this for a while. How are they expecting to stay in business with this kind of behavior? Last week I did manage to place an order via the app. One of the employees suggested doing that since the card machines were down. I could tell that that they didn't like me doing that though. lol read more

Regarding the Lufkin, TX location at 2212 S. First St. - CASH ONLY?? Last night was the 3rd different night that I have tried ordering food in the drive thru. I work late and have driven over to this location to order dinner around 9:45 PM to 10 PM each time, only to be told they can only accept cash. The employee states their card machine is down EVERY time. I find this very hard to believe especially after I read a Yelp review from someone else stating the same concern. After I was told again about the store only taking cash last night, I pulled off & parked while looking up other places to eat in town that were open. While I was parked I rolled my window down and heard the employee in drive thru telling every car that pulled up the same story. This is unacceptable. The franchise owner should be made aware of this as this clearly has been going on for some time and sales are being missed. Card payment systems do not go down every night and using a "cash only" line with customers in an attempt to discourage orders is no way to run a business. read more

I got food poisoning from this wendy's. The worst thing i've ever experienced in my life. I had diarrhea for 2 weeks and the fever from the food poisoning was unbearable. It was so severe I had hallucinations for 3 days. If anyone is curious I had the $5 JPC biggie bag with spicy chicken nuggets. After eating the meal I had felt a pain in my stomach and I couldn't use the bathroom for 2 days straight. If anyone knows anything about food poisoning it's that in some cases you will immediately feel pain in your stomach after eating it then after 2 days thats when all hell breaks loose. I love Wendy's but this is by far the worst one I've been too. I ordered chili and they have no spoons or pepper. Which I don't understand when there is a Walmart and Sams Club behind them. During a recent visit to Lufkin, otherwise known as the armpit of Angelina county, we stopped by Wendy's located near your redneck rude ass Walmart. Overall, my visit to this town was not impressive to say the least. People are rude as hell!! Back to my review. One positive experience was the lady who took our order. She was exceptionally nice! Kuddos to her! Btw this is a huge compliment! Unfortunately, the lady at the pick up window is as rude as the majority of Lufkinites. Our order consisted of 5 drinks! Where she tried to hand to me individually until I had to ask for a drink holder. That one request was enough to piss her off. She then asked if we needed anything else to which I replied "salt". I was given 3 to 4 salt packets for 5 burgers & fries! I asked for more. She was again put off by such a request. Honestly, it could have been worse. But they probably would have had to drop all of my food on the ground for that to be the case. This was by far the worst Wendy's I've ever been to, and it wasn't just on one off night. I've been a few times and somehow it seems to get worse every time. The staff is unfriendly and obviously not trained well. There was an issue getting my order through and four people including a manager were trying to figure it out. With the window being wide open I got to see/hear firsthand how uncoordinated the team was. After that finally got situated the woman at the second window was no more friendly than anyone else in the store. The actual food was subpar. The fries were pretty good, but the burger was gross. Whatever sauce was on it tasted like it had gone bad. Very unappetizing. This location was spacious, clean and seemed to be well run. There is not much more you can ask for from a fast food establishment. It kind of had a skinny wrap-around parking lot, that compounded with the drive-through made for slightly hazardous turning around the corners of the building. Our food was ready in about three seconds flat, I barely had time to step away from the counter after ordering before a lady had placed the tray in front of me with a smile and a chippy "have a nice day!" I am hoping that they are just that good, not that the food was prepared waiting an hour ahead of time. It's certainly tasted delicious enough, my Junior bacon cheeseburger had fresh crispy lettuce and tomatoes on it which is always appreciated with fast food. We were just on a little road trip, so I don't know if I will be able to go back to this particular location again, but if we ever have this road trip repeat for us, I will certainly remember that I can stop here for a delicious quick meal. read more

Covid has nothing to do with this. So my complaint is that Wendy's needs to hire multitaskers. I was in line for 20mins before I got to the speaker & there were only 2 cars in front of me. I got up to the speaker & got soaked in this cold pouring rain bc I waited so long. I had to keep adjusting my window so I could hear her if she said anything. I got tired of my car getting flooded lol I said hello. The girl said we will be with you shortly, kind of rude but you could tell she was doing her best to sound nice. Not the point, shouldn't take that long to take someone's order. You don't need to get the window empty before taking more orders. Me & the truck behind me left to Burger King. We both got our food & on our way. When I passed by Wendy's the car that was in front of me in line was still at the window. Idk how they stay open really. Who closes at 8 on weekends. One time I did an online order before at 7:20 and went to pick it up. Everyone in line sat there I can't tell you how long. People came out the back & rudely said they are closed as they crushed boxes. Most of the time when you close the lights to the menu are off & everything is shut down. Food was as good as fast food should be but this restaurant (building interior) needs a face-lift!! Dining table tops need maintenance and resurfacing. The dull glare on them makes them look dirty. The table I sat at had a good base but the top is drink spilling loose. Wall paper is delaminating in various areas and the wood panels are showing their wear too. Return air grill needs cleaning but air supply vents look clean. Not sure why there aren't any tables next to the East side windows...makes dining area look weird... The service was mediocre at best and place was average slow/busy but steady. read more
