We stopped in to get a frosty because it was blazing hot out and everything else in Helen is pretty much closed by 8pm. We ordered a small frosty ($1) to share. Staff accidentally gave us two and when we told them we only ordered one they apologized and said we could have the second one, no charge. The restaurant was fairly clean, staff were friendly overall. We would stop back in again if looking for some fast food or another Frosty on a hot day in Helen. read more

Drive thru line took a very long time, once we got our food the fries and burger was literally cold

Worse service ever. The place is all a mess. No clean tables, no clean chairs, no clean floor. The roads are cleaner than this place.

Once again I have realized that customer service is in the toilet. Most people at the front no longer want to talk to you when you make your order and are quick to want to get it to you.So you have no questions. It was his basic as you could get , and then we were out the door. read more

We ended up here after a day around town and it was going to take too long for any other food options. We waited in the drive thru lane which moved pretty good. We ordered 2 of their new 2 bacon cheese burger meals, with fries and a drink. It was only like 17 bucks, and the order came out pretty fast. We took it back to our cabin which was only 5 to 10 minutes away. By the time we got home the food was cold which was strange because we had just picked it up. We reheated some of it in the microwave. They had a little too much mayo for my liking but I scraped it off. Saturday evening, waited in drive through line five minutes, never moved. Walked in, three guys in line, about six waiting on orders, looking pissed. Waited five more minutes, finally one of the staff says "gotta order at kiosk", Sigh. Two guys start typing War and Peace into this interface of the only two kiosk screens, that doesn't seem to give them what they want...after about three minutes...just time to walk out. The cashier was very friendly and worked with a great sense of urgency but she can only do so much when her owner does not staff properly. All I wanted was just a little snack. So I got the kids meal and I was gonna eat the hamburger and my husband ate the fries. The hamburger only comes with ketchup so if you want some mustard or a pickle you need to ask. It was terrible and cold by the way and so were the french fries. Staff were very friendly. Went to get chicken nuggets, took 1 hour. This is ridiculous for fast food. Then the staff started to close up before we got our food and wondered why we were still there. There was also a hand written sign on the drive through that they were closed. Should have taken that as a warning it was going to be a bad experience. Inside was also dirty like no one cleans ever. This place gets two stars because when we finally get our food, it was OK. Visit started as a solution for something quick from the drive thru. No such luck. Signs are posted that they weren't working the drive-thru window. I have no idea why or how long that was the case. Parked and went in. Only two customers infront of us, figured long could it be? So we went inside only to see a gargoyle of an employee bent over the fry warmer/basket snacking away on the product, sans gloves. We came here because the wait for any other restaurant around was 2-3 hours. The place was crowded and gross. The bathroom was dirty. Trash was piling up to the ceiling. But I'm not here for that. I'm not writing this review to complain. I'm writing this review to compliment the two men up front who worked their butts off the entire time we were there. They tried their absolute best, and that's all you can do. The cook with long greasy hair left and went outside to smoke a cigarette every ten minutes while the two men up front worked really hard to get all orders done. We were very impressed with those two gentlemen. They really deserve a raise. I hope they get those two men some better help. If I were them, I would've just walked out. read more

I have made two visits to this particular Wendy's. The first was back during the height of tourist and tubing season and the place was busy so I excused their slow service and total lack of hospitality. Our second visit was on a Monday this week, no tourist and no crowd. Unfortunately, the service was still lackluster and slow by any standard. On this visit, there was only one person in front of me and instead of taking our order the cashier decided to wait until the kitchen had the other customers entire order ready and on the tray. We chose to just order a drink and continue on our trip to find someplace else to eat. No greeting from the cashier, no thank you just handed me our change and put two drink cups on the counter. The food on last 2 trips was good..only one person was nice..everyone else was talking and lounging around. A customer came in and talked to girls at employee door and all went outside leaving 1 girl to watch register and back..there was a guy there but he was walking around inside with sunglasses on wearing earbuds and singing..it was dark outside. The reason I noticed all this is they propped employee door open and side door it was very cold and windy outside. One girl came in and got her purse and went back out....then they all came back inside. With so many things needing to done The floors were nasty with food and trashand greasy, dirty tables and trash all over the place. Mens bathroom door locked on last 2 visits. My grandson and husband had to use the womens bathroom. They haven't had Chili all winter what is up with this? This is very busy tourist area on weekends and holidays it is slammed with people..wait lines are aweful...it was not busy so there's no excuse today. They need new management now!! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! There was a long line, to be expected, but we stood in line for 40 minutes, then 15 more minutes to get our food. We could have driven out of town and gotten something faster. Normally I would have left after 15 but we had a woman who was diabetic and needed to eat and we figured this would be the cheapest and thought fastest way to go. The place was filthy!! They had 1 front counter person taking orders and trying to get orders out. Food and drinks were on floors everywhere, there was a busted table in dining room no one made an attempt to remove or rope off. I know with the holiday weekend they probably had people call off, but in such a busy tourist spot they should have called area manager or owner for help. read more

When we went, there was a handwritten sign on the cash register that said that due to internet trouble, credit cards could not be accepted. Cash only. Well since I was traveling, I did have the cash and it didn't bother me too much. Well I was reading some reviews of Helen establishments on another review website and saw people from well over a week before I ate there mentioning the same thing. I'm old enough to remember when Wendy's advertising slogan was "Hot and juicy." The food I got at this particular Wendy's location was neither. Cold, chewy, burger, barely edible.
